Let the Countdown begin! In just a blink of an eye, a mere twenty-one days, two minivans packed to the rooftops will be hurtling down I95 towards the wonderful ice encrusted world of Walt a Disney World...okay, hopefully Elsa and the Imagineers haven't taken it that far yet.
The group includes:
Me! Yay!! The true leader of this group as the rest don't know enough or don't care enough to make this the trip of a lifetime for the wee ones. (Oh, my name is Nicki btw)
Ernie- my other half...aka the half of me that is not Dis obsessed, but he is great at having a jolly good time once I get him there
Charlotte- my DD12, and probably the only person I know that could take me down as leader of this rowdy crowd, her fave character is Stitch and she will be proudly wearing her Stitch ears and tail throughout our trip
Norah- DD7, aka Dubby, whose fave character is Duffy (I know right...???) and has an affinity for handholding, she is our quiet love bug (not THAT kind of love bug)
Walter- DS2 aka Wall-E, seriously Walter Ernest is his name and Wall-E has stuck pretty well as a nickname in his little two years of life, he loves Frozen, looks like a mini Cristoph and sleeps with Minnie Mouse clutched in his chubbiness, his favorite character is Pete.
Sam- my dear cousin, crazy chicken lady who collects other castoff animals as well, can't wait to take her kids to Disney, she herself has not been to WDW since she was 16 which was about 15 years ago
Anthony- her DH, never been to the World but his greatest goal that week is to ride on the fire truck with his sons down Main St USA, my job, is to attempt to make that happen
Georgia Grace- CDD9, we'll call her GIgi, very excited about this trip, is willing to try anything, including TOT and RnRC!
Wyatt- aka WyWy, CDS2, four months older than Wall-E, pleasant enough little boy that is a dirt magnet, I expect to see him covered in lollipop and ice cream filth for the entire trip, lol
Parker- CDS1 aka P-baby, another pleasant little dirt magnet, with no character preferences but loves loves loves food
Our home away from home for the week will be a two bedroom lock off at the VWL. We plan on breakfasting in the room, eating one big meal out in the World each day and snacking throughout the rest of the day. I have made list after list of easy meals and snacks to take with us to make this trip smooth and easy for all of us. I'll include my plans as I pack each bag or box. Starting with the two I have ready to go right now! Yay! I love that I can get started already!
Bag #1- two big bags of Trader Joes "just a handful" nut mix for throwing into everyone's park bags (the little guys love them and they are a nice clean snack) small can of coffee, two cans of Trader Joes Coconut Cream (for my coffee- I am Paleo) bag of raw almonds, bag of pecans, three boxes of Larabars (this years seasonal flavors, snicker doodle, gingerbread and pumpkin pie- I've been saving them for something special, lol)
Bag #2- Methods Mickey and Minnie foaming hand wash for villa bathrooms as well as Method Mickey and Minnie shampoo and body wash combos, detergent pods for dishwasher and laundry, baggies, other miscellaneous items
More to come...thanks for reading!
