Last night Eric says "so we have what, 4 weeks til our trip?" He had a huge smile. I asked if he was excited and he said "yeah excited to be off of work for 2 weeks". He just won't admit he's excited to go to Disney.

I'm trying to find a cute suitcase for Madeline that will hold more then 1 outfit. I found a cute set on disney shopping but Eric doesn't want me to spend "$60 on a suitcase" even though it's a suitcase and a duffel bag. AND it would be personalized. We'll see what happens.

We're also considering skipping the Mammoth caves tour. Eric says he dosen't care one way or the other so we'll see what my parents say. It would be nice to get to the hotel for the night a little earlier. Or we could travel longer and then leave later in the morning. I should run some directions and see.

I've also decided that I want to try the Swan/Dolphin one of these days. I discovered you can get a nurse discount so that's pretty cool! Looks like I could get a room for around $130 a night which is pretty darn good for a deluxe hotel I think.

Yuck on the ear infections. Emily always has ear infections, but I think she is finally growing out of them now. Las time she was at the doctors she had some fluid in her ears, but they weren't infected.

Yay, Madeline is tall enough for Barnstormer! Emily was barely 35 inches last year, but I took her on it anyway and she loved it. We ended up riding it 2 more times on our vacation!

Emily loves all of the rides! She doesn't mind the dark or scary stuff, not that those rides are very scary anyway! She's a little thrill seeker too.

Madeline loves looking at the pictures in my planning books and so far has wanted to go on every ride. She's even picked out who she gets to ride with on each ride. She picked daddy for Dumbo and me for Nemo. Not sure who she'll want for Barnstormer.

More shopping. Well I swore I wouldn't get anything else but my dad really wants us all to have matching T-shirts. I finally found the "Disney" t-shirts that come big enough for my dad to wear. So I'm getting pink for the girls and navy for the boys. Only problem is the disney shopping website is being lame and saying my password doesn't match. I think there's some sort of problem at the moment. I also decided to order the personalized princess suitcase set for Madeline.

I"m still waiting on my $50 gift card from Sunshine Rewards. Seriously how long is that going to take!!

I'm now in the 20's for days to go count!

Re-thinking some plans. Originally we decided to stop off at Mammoth Caves in Kentucky on the way down to Florida. This would take about 2-3 hours out of our driving time. That would mean either stopping later for the night or having longer to drive the next day. I've been thinking about skipping the caves. If we went to the caves we'd leave the house around 5am. If we don't go to the caves I'm thinking we could leave around 4am. Then we could either travel farther or stop earlier at night.

I guess I just really want to get there so we can relax Sunday night and be ready for our early MK morning on Monday. I want to be able to go to Downtown Disney to get my parents annual passes on Sunday also so we don't have to mess with that on Monday morning.

But will I feel bad if we don't go to the caves. I'm so torn!

Morning. Today is my birthday. I got bronchitis and 3 inches of snow. BLECH! What a horrible birthday! Oh well. I got a card from Eric but he didn't get me one from Madeline. GRR!!!! I did not get a present cause I have free reign in Disney to get whatever and if I don't get anything there I'll get something when we get home. We were supposed to go out to eat yesterday but I got sick so we couldn't.

Anyway, I think I've decided to skip Mammoth Caves and leave here at 4 am on May 2nd. I'm starting to get nervous about our plans. Like do we really need to leave for a break? If we leave for a break are we going to feel like coming back? I guess we'll just see how it goes. I'm also nervous about fitting everything in. I think Mother's day should be good this year. We'll be in Disney after all! I get to spend Mother's day with MY mom and my daughter this year. Usually I'm stuck spending Mother's day with my MIL which is NOT fun for me since she thinks Madeline is HER daughter.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe about the snow! It was pretty crappy here today. Today was going to be Opening Day - Me and the boys all had on our Red Sox shirts but instead everything was cancelled and it RAINED really hard. I work in the city on the waterfront and boy was it a COLD walk to work today!!! My umbrella broke from the wind and I was soaked and cold all day long.

About leaving in the middle of the day- I have to say we did this last time and boy did it make our vacation SO much more relaxing and enjoyable. I plan most days to be back at the hotel for naps or even just spend it at the pool area from 2-5. and then we get ready for dinner, and then go back to the parks if we want to- if not, we go to DTD or something. I have found with my family at least- if we don't get that break from the park and all the people- we all end up being CRANKY - HOT- TIRED and MISERABLE!

Yippee- that we get to spend Mothers Day at Disney! I am REALLY excited for it. Usually I am running around to see the moms and do things for them, that it ends up not really feeling special to me. (i know that makes me sound selfish- and I love them both so much, but this will be the first Mothers Day- when it is all about me- and I like that!!)

I'm going to plan on the breaks in the middle of the day except on our AK and MGM days. MGM closes at 7pm the day we're going so I dont' want to waste a break there.

I am doing the EXACT same thing! A rest every day except AK and MGM. I plan on leaving after the parade at MGM and I think AK closes after the parade at AK and then we have Boma reservations at 5:00 so it doesnt make sense to go back to the hotel and then back to Boma for 5:00. I am nervous for the AK day because I am not sure how fun that dinner will be if the kids are having meltdowns.

Yeah melt downs will not be fun but I figure AK is a different kind of park that is more leasurely. We'll be going out to dinner right after AK too (not sure where but we're there on Mother's Day so there will be no cooking from this mom).

I'm pretty much at a stand still with planning ect. I don't think there is much I can do for a couple of weeks.

I'd say I wish we were there right now but I won't since the crowds are horrid right now!

I should probably try all the clothes on Madeline again that I'm planning on bringing but it's probably not necessary.

I think tomorrow I'll boil some eggs and then we can decorate them on Friday.

23 days to go and I'm still shopping.

I've been SO good but I can't take it anymore! I haven't shopped at gymboree since February and I only bought 1 dress and 1 outfit. BUT I haven't shopped at all during gymbucks and now they have a super cute monkey line coming out next week and I don't have any gymbucks.

Last night we got news that a friend had her baby (a boy) so I ordered an outfit for him at Gap and just had to get one for Madeline too. This is what I got.

That's what I got for the baby. Boy moms did I do a good job?

Madeline's new suitcases should arrive this afternoon. I'm really excited. I can pack the rest of our stuff as soon as that package gets here!

We have a fence contractor coming this afternoon to give us an estimate and then there's church tonight so we'll be busy!

Ooh, I have some gymbucks to use!! I can't wait to see the new line! Gymboree is hit or miss with me though, sometimes I find some cute stuff and other times, it's just not doing it for me! It is nice that Emily is in a 3 though because she can shop in the baby girl and big girl sections so there is usually more to choose from.

Anyway, love the Gap purchases! The little boy outfit is so cute! I love the dress you got Madeline. I got the purple/blue stripe one for Emily, but I might need to get those shoes too!! Darn you babyGap for sucking me in once more!!!
