We're leaving for Vegas Sunday morning***AKA my dd's ingrown toenail thread!...

and my 21 yo daughter has an infected, ingrown toenail on her big toe! She just told me about it on Tuesday...called the doctor...had no appointments till next week! She was poking at it, trying to get the nail out...I was poking at it. We think we got it out, but you should see her toe! It's all red, swollen and throbbing. Her whole foot is red. I called the doctor back yesterday and explained to the receptionist that she REALLY needs an appointment this week. She goes tomorrow at 12:30. I hope the antibiotics he gives her will start working in two days, otherwise, she's gonna be one unhappy camper! I don't know why she waited so long to tell me. She's had problems before...as a matter of fact, her other big toe, they cut out the nail on each side and used some sort of acid so the nail doesn't grow back. Looks like she's going to have to do that to this toe too.

The antibiotics should work in two days quite a bit, at least I hope they do. Sure hope your trip to Vegas isn't affected much by your dd's sore toe.

I'm sure the Dr. will be able to help, Sharon. Chelsea has gotten those twice right before a big dance competition. She had the surgery on it both times and was dancing again in two days.

Hi Sharon, DS=15 just went thru the same thing. We finally got in to see podiatrist after two rounds of antibiotics... great toes both bad.. podiatrist did the same procedure as you mentioned above the same day. Pain was relieved almost completely within two days. Hope all works out as well for your dd.

Btw.. where are you staying in Vegas... Have a good time..

Dopey Sharon I do hope your daughter toe heals swiftly. I had the same thing when I was in Jr High. The Doc did the thingy with the toe nails and poof haven't had a problem since.

We're staying at the Flamingo this time. This is our second trip, first time we stayed at Treasure Island...I hope the Flamingo is just as nice. We should have a great time. I'm not a gambler, so you guys don't have to worry about me. I go to see the sights and lounge by the pool.

Thats great I hope you have a wonderful time. I tell you the only thing I can't stand is how cold the casinos are. I can't stand to pull the one arm bandit while freezing. This year I will definitely take a sweater with me. Last year I blew 50 bucks on a sweat shirt at balleys because i could not take it anymore. Just so happens we were there one morning eating breakfast and It was freezing in there. I was going to play roulette with the 50 but it went on me a nice sweatshirt which kept me nice and toasty. I love Vegas weather all that dry heat feels goood especially when we drive to laughlin I have to have the windows down I can't waitttttt woooohoooooooo
