Could my last day of work until 1/16/2012 be anymore stressful?! And, it's not even work related stress!!
Back story: earlier in December our neighbors teen son decided to take a frying pan and hit a few cars - mine was one of them. So, the police were called and reports were filed. I got an estimate of the damages ($1300), paid my deductible and had the car repaired. Since the day of the incident, I've been calling juvenile services about the scheduled hearing that was written on the ticket (01/09/12) because I won't be in the state for the hearing and I've been requesting to have it rescheduled. Each and every single time I've called, I've been told to call back later as the dockets haven't been received and the hearing hasn't been scheduled.
Until yesterday.
And, of course, the hearing IS scheduled for Monday the 9th at 9am. I learn of this on Thursday. I ask to reschedule and I am transferred to the person assigned to the case. The person that was assigned to the case wasn't at their desk so I left a voice mail with my available hours and two phone numbers I can be reached at (work and cell). I don't receive a call back. I called again today and, of course, the case worker isn't available and I leave another voice mail. Now, it's after hours and I am only able to leave, yet, another voice mail.
I am going to be fuming if the hearing doesn't get rescheduled. I've documented all the calls I made as well as the voice mails I've left.
On another issue: my daughters pediatrician, whom we've been going to since my daughter was 6 days old, has a new office manager. And, she's refusing to allow our daughter to be seen over a billing dispute from 2007. This was learned of today after my husband called the office and scheduled an appointment for today because our daughter has been sick all week (pink eye in both eyes and an ear infection {we took her to urgent care for treatment} and now she has a fever and a wet cough). I'm fuming with rage. Apparently, the previous office manager didn't write notes of when I called and disputed the charges (the old office manager didn't submit the claims to the insurance company until it was too late and they're trying to make us pay the amount - the office manager only wrote that I didn't provide the insurance cards until it was too late, which is total BS. I used to work in a doctors office and I know how claims are submitted - I provided all cards at each appointment). So, now we have to find a new pediatrician.
Okay... I think I'm done with my rant.
