Yay we're here at WDW!!

I wonder, anyone else here? I haven't spotted any of the podcast crew ... for some reason as my family and I were walking out of the AK baby center today I was hoping to run into Julie, Corey, and Ferris :)

Anyway, I need to thank Kathy for her report on the centralized fastpass location at AK on the podcast and blog. We were there at rope drop today, although behind about 200 people I would say at the actual rope. I worked my way over to the centralized FP location (still in testing phase?) and as Kathy said there was no sign or anything ... in fact at that moment all of the FP machines were covered. but no worries, several CM's were uncovering them, and when I spotted the EE machine I just walking right up and got the first set! woohoo! :cool1:

going to Epcot tomorrow ... for our first Coral Reef lunch experience. thumbs up? thumbs down?? hehe, I know Kevin has a lot to say about it. we'll see.

hope to see you all around ... let us know if you're here Disers. And podcast crew -- i'm on the lookout for you too!:thumbsup2

We had good luck with Coral Reef in the past for early dinner. I used to like the Wave dessert until they took away the ice cream part (last time for me..maybe 2007). One of us usually orders the steak.

We have been here for the last 11 days. Crowds haven't been too bad, but it has been very HOT, which is expected. We used the AK fast pass last week, I agree, it is a great addition. Have a great time!!

Hey we are headed over to Epcot this afternoon. I will take my DIS lanyard. Keep an eye out for us!

Hi all!

what a great day today! Spent the day at Epcot, and ate at the Coral Reef for the first time in a loooooong time. Given the highly disparate opinions of this place, I'm gonna give it a ... thumbs up! In short, arrived 15 minutes ahead of our 11:45am ADR and we were seated within 5 minutes. Server Matt was great, view was okay (although we didn't specifically request a window seat). Food was much better than I had heard (pan-seared tilapia over green bean salad was wonderful). Skipped the chocolate wave this time. :thumbsup2

Then ... we ended up chatting with a guy around the frozen margarita stands, about Drink Around the World, and he ended up being a CM (he was off-duty), before we parted ways he handed us an early-entry fastpass good for u to 5 people to Mission space, maelstrom, or livin with the land (currently closed). what a nice gesture. yes there is still magic. :wizard:

I do have to say one thing ... is it just me or are the attractions much hotter INSIDE? I look forward to the blast of cold air when entering an attraction, but for the past few days I have been perspirating in American Adventure, Philharmagic, and others. Is it the economy? Is it my imagination? :confused3

oh well.

IWISHFORSPIRIT, didn't see you today, looked at every lanyard-bearing guest (there were a lot). we'll be at the studios tomorrow, not yet sure what i'll wear. maybe my NY Yankees shirt.

anyone with any questions while we're here???

:goodvibes

I never made it over to Epcot. I had a drink at GF bar with friends and one is all it takes for me. LOL. We headed home after my DH was done with golf. I am glad you had a fun day! We will probably head back to Epcot on Wed, or Thurs.
