Were going to WDW in Aug!!! Are you?

Hi, we were so excited that we finalized our plans to do an extra trip to WDW this summer to get more use out of our AP. With some help form Disborad members we were able to decided to stay at OKW Aug 13 to 22 in a studio. (Aug 14 will be our 10 year anniversary.) We have never been to FLA in the summer, or to OKW ever, so were are very exctied and a bit nevous. It will also be the longest trip to WDW we have ever taken!!


When reading the thread about who was going this summer I noticed 4 or 6 other people going the same time as us, even staying at OKW too. What does people think about OKW in the summer (rainy!) and how good is it for 2 year olds (dd)?


Heres looking forward to Aug, hope we all have a good trip!!! Maybe we will see you there!

Look's like you will be gone when we arrive 8/23 - 8/30. OKW 2 bedroom and studio with 6 adults and 5 kids. Watch for the afternoon rain showers!

Wow Jack, what a big group. I am sure you guys are going to have lots of fun. Have you been there in Aug before, does the parks normally stay open much later then winter? I hope the crowds are on there way down the later part of Aug.

We are settling for a studio, since we are borrowing all the points we can from the next year! We should of bought more points!!! It is just hubby and 2 year old DD so we should be fine I hope. I stuido is better then a normal hotel room at least!

Count us in Aug 17-22 at Wilderness Lodge. First time at WLV and can't wait!!

Plan on signing up for the bike & boat plan and just relaxing at WDW. Would love to move there one day but we haven't experienced a FL summer!

Also - one more visit on those AP's make you feel you got a good use of 'em.

Our normal summer vacation is never WDW, normally it is an escape from winter. So the heat will be new for us, but then again it can get hot in Michigan, and it is always hot in N.C. Outer Banks were we normally go, and WDW has better A.C!

Still a little sad we won't be at BCV, SAB is so wonderful for a 2 year old, I am hopeing the pools at OKW will be fun also. We might try Pool hopping to Poly or GF one day when MK gets too busy. We are also planning on going to TL or BB, since we often skip them in March. It will fun to be there when it is really hot!

What better way to spend your 10 year anniversay? (besides just the 2 of us alone in Hawaii?)

Do the crowds drop any in the later part of Aug?

We'll be there with 2 studios and a 1BR. Taking kids and both sets of grandparents. Expecting it to be very hot and kind of worried about parents and in-laws, but hoping for the best!!! As it gets closer, we should try to arrange for ice cream one night at beaches & cream.

We'll be at OKW in a studio August 17-21. I can't wait! This is the first time we'll be staying in a studio and first time going in the summer. It's also my sister and two nieces (5 and 1-1/2) first trip. I am really looking forward to it. I've asked for a studio near the Hospitality House so maybe we'll see you around the pool since it will be so hot and muggy!

I figure it will be hot here in Cleveland. At least in Florida, I'll be able to see the look on my two nieces faces when they seek Mickey for the first time. I'm taking lots and lots of film for my camera.

WE will just miss you. We are in a 2 bedroom at OKW August 22-27. We are taking a quick trip the last week of August so our DS and SO can go down on his one week bread from college! We like the 10+ day trips, so this will seem like a quicky!
