On the steps of your City Hall on November 15th at 10:30am PST / 1:30pm EST, our community WILL take to the streets and speak out against Proposition 8 and all of the other pro-equality losses that we have faced in our lifetimes, in our parents lifetimes, and for many generations before us. WE CANT DO THIS ALONE! WE NEED YOUR HELP! We need organizers in every major city to work with us and get out the protest! I know youre all tired from all of the work youve done for this great election year, but Im asking for one more push! Let the country hear our voices together. Let them see that we are a strong, adamant, and powerful community that deserves equal rights, and CANT BE DEFEATED!
Send this post to everyone! We have one week and must react to the pro-hate votes cast against us! Lets help our LGBTQ friends, families, neighbors, and each other to IMPACT this country with a demand for our basic human rights! Join the cause, join the voice, and JOIN THE IMPACT!

I feel like Mrs. Banks in Mary Poppins. Who wants to break into song with me!
Cast off the shackles of yesterday!
Shoulder to shoulder into the fray!
Our daughters' daughters will adore us
And they'll sign in grateful chorus
"Well done, Sister Suffragette!"
How Exciting! I will be there with bells on! Maybe a costume . . . What do you guys think if I recycle my Mad Hatter Halloween costume, and I make a sign that says "I'm Mad and I'm Not Going to take it Anymore."

Interesting.
"Make them Hear You" from Ragtime has been on my playlist a lot this week.
Here it is:
Go out and tell our story.
Let it echo far and wide.
Make them hear you,
Make them hear you.
How justice was our battle
And how justice was denied.
Make them hear you,
Make them hear you.
And say to those who blame us
For the way we chose to fight
That sometimes there are battles
That are more than black or white...
And I could not put down my sword
When justice was my right.
Make them hear you,
Make them hear you.
My path may lead to heaven or hell
And God will say what's best
But one thing He will never say
Is that I went quietly to my rest
Go out and tell our story
To your daughters and your sons.
Make them hear you,
Make them hear you.
And tell them, in our struggle,
We were not the only ones.
Make them hear you,
Make them hear you.
Proclaim it from your pulpit,
In your classroom, with your pen.
Teach every child to raise his voice
And then, my brothers, then
Will justice be demanded
By ten million righteous men.
Make them hear you.
When they hear you,
I'll be near you
Again.
I like suffragette city better...
Ohhh, wham bam thank you maam!![]()
So OrlandoMike, ConcK, Rob... anyone know why Florida isn't doing anything? Are we really that apathetic and beaten down here?
Mike, do you work every Saturday?
