This trip has been revised more times then I can count....and it's stll 6 months away!
Whispers of this trip began between me and Grandma, way back in 2009...we we went to Canada's Wonderland with the 4 children, while I was waiting in line for Thunderrun with hte 2 dirls, and mom was in the childrens area with hte boy's, there was a man in line by us for what seemed like forever grumbling about "I wish I was a t Disney I would never have to stand in a line for this long" this intrigued me, what could he be talking about, there must be massive lines at Disney World....
Once we returned from this trip I started looking to see what this man could possibly be refering to

FastPass

I was in love. This lovely piece of paper would allow me not to stand in one line for an hour for one ride...
Buy I am a single mother I can's afford a trip to Disney World....or can I....after more research I call Mom, "Disney has a campground."...."What?"...."They have a campground right on site" (you see being a single mother I begn tent camping so I could take my son on vacatuon everyyear without breaking the bank....plus I always feel the need to take my other kids with me (they are my brothers kids but I am slightly addicted to having them around) "Well, how much would it be?"
That was it I was planning a trip. I had decided it would be better to wait a few years until the kids were older, Captian Hook was only 3 and incase it was once in a lifetime I wanted it to be something he may remember.
With our pirate crew of 6, it would be way too $$$$ to fly to Orlando from Nova Scotia. We had driven to Ontario, which was 17 hours, 31 wasn't that much more. So it was decieded in 2012 we were driving to Disney World!!!

August to be exact. Schools do not go back here until after labour Day, nad I saw value season started Mid August.
There was no way I was telling 4 kids that far in advance, they would drive me bonkers!!

So we decieded we would tell them the Christmas before we went, it gives them plenty of time to help plan, but not enough time to send me to the funny farm.
As time progressed I realized tent camping for 10 nights in August in Florida probably wasn't the brightest idea, so we researched alternatives, offsite, hotels on property, anything we could think of. Finally we decided we wanted the dining plan, for ease of mind if nothing else (paying for 6 people out of pocket became mind boggling...to much budget stess all vacation) so we finally settled on 2 rooms ar Pop Century
We have the rooms booked at rack rate, if a dscount comes out I will look at that as a bonus! but not counting on it.
