Ok, I will wait for your results before planning anything definate....lol. Although, I'm thinking that if theres any disagreements we will just split up.....Bff and I will leave the kids and hubbies by themselves!!!

Ya know, the more I think of it, thats sounding good too!?! Oh my, I need to stop, this is so addicting I should be planning our family vaca first then the next....lol.

I like the idea about leaving the kids with the DH's. Not sure it would work in our case though, we would probably end up with the kiddos while DH's are off doing their thing.

Ok not anything real new to update you on, other that GUSTAV!!!! In case you haven't heard about GUSTAV here is an example of what I am talking about:

I am totally freaking. What if we have to cancel/reschedule our trip??? I am going to be soo soooo sad. All of the planning for 8 months to have to cancel!!! I just hope somehow that we are all spared and that our state doesn't have to deal with another bad hurricane. We are still recovering from Katrina! Parts of New Orleans and St. Bernard parish are still terrible. We have a camp in Grand Isle, La which is on the Gulf coast, and things there are still bad from Katrina and Rita. I hate hurricanes. I guess we'll just have to see where this one goes. We need to think positive, and that this storm is going to magically disappear and we will be boarding a plane for Orlando from New Orleans on 9/11.

Hello All! I just got my girls tucked in bed and DS is watching a little TV, DH is working tonight, so I have the Dis! I thought that it was about time for a little update.

Our trip is getting soooo close. Lets cross our fingers that we don't have a tropical storm/hurricane to change that I would be so upset! We are carefully watching Gustav right now.....it looks like it may be visiting us next week. We are prepared though

Water....check
Batteries.....check
Lanterns.....check
Coleman stove......check
Tarps.....check
Candles.....check
Canned goods.....check

This what they are predicting right now:

I picked up water today while I was out shopping for the trip. We have city water, but you can never be too prepared

We are prepared, and hope that if it does indeed make landfall in SE Louisiana, it will be gone and the skies will be clear and the New Orleans airport will be open by 9/11. It should be ok.

Ok, now onto more fun things!! We leave for Disney 2 weeks from tomorrow Me and DBFF are meeting for brunch tomorrow to celebrate and also go over plans, idea, ect. I can't wait b/c we will be kid free!! I am so looking forward to this! I am also going to finish up my shopping tomorrow so that should be fun.

I picked up a few things the last couple of days. I had been thinking about what type of shoes that my kiddos were going to wear in the parks on the days that we may do water rides (SM and Kali River Rapids) I didn't want to put them in tennis shoes due to the fact that they would get wet and stay wet all day. I decided on Crocs for them. The Mary Jane style for the girls, and they are so cute. We went with the pink ones, and DD4 LOVES them, she barely takes them off. Here is a pic of her before school yesterday showing them off. I am so glad that she likes them though b/c she is very picky about shoes.

While we were shopping DH decided that he wanted to get some new Crocs too, except he got a new kind that I hadn't seen before. Yes I took a picture for ya'll. LOL. He likes them, but laughed at me when I snapped a pic of them on his feet Yes, I know.....I'm weird!

I got DS a few shorts and stuff like that, and found these cute HSM shirts for the girls. They love them! They are going to wear them with pink bermuda shorts.

Oh, and another thing I found...How could forget??? It was my favorite thing today!! I found the perfect bag for me to carry while in WDW. I decided that I wasn't going to bring a backpack this trip, instead it is more of a purse type bad that can be worn across the body. I love it. I can put all of the following in it easily.

3 autograph books
travel pack wet wipes
travel pack kleenex
hand sanitizer
camera
chap stick

I still have room for more too! I was so excited and I caught it on sale and only paid $8.00 for it LOVE THAT!

Yay! 14 Days, and it can't here quick enough! I am not sure of the exact name of the Crocs that DH got, but I know that he did find them at Academy Sports in Baton Rouge, if that helps He says that they are really comfy. As you can see from my post, I went today and got a few things just in case. We already had a lot of stuff (tarps, lanterns, coleman stove) but needed the usual batteries, water, canned goods. I sure hope we luck out and miss it though!

Just a little update to let you know that we leave 2 weeks from today!!! Can you tell I am excited. I did a little shopping today. Found a few things for DH and picked up a couple of dresses for my DD's. We are pretty much set to go. I had a very nice brunch with DBFF today. We of course talked Disney....goodtimes, goodtimes Mel knows what I am talking to. Hehe. I just had to laugh again! Ok, I guess that I can let you in on a little laugh.....while we were waiting for our food to arrive, a couple of DH's much older uncles saw me and walked over to say hello. One began flirting with DBFF, it was funny. They were a little loud, and one had a colonoscopy done this morning that he was telling everyone within ears reach about....OMG! We must have turned 10 different shades of red It made us laugh though!!! So our "We are leaving 2 weeks from today brunch" wasn't uneventful! Love you Mel!!!

Oh and I also just secured a reservation for Boma on 9/15. We are very excited to try it!!! Yay!!! That's all for now. I just wanted to share my good mood. Lets hope that we don't have a hurrricane to put a damper on it

We did have a good time at brunch. Not really any new plans, just talking about plans.

My DH was never crazy about Crocs and never owned a pair until he saw the ones that I posted in the pics. He really likes them, I asked him what style they were and he said he thought they were Croc Yukons. Not positive though.
