Hello! This is my first time posting a new thread on the Dis but I have done a lot of lurking and commented on a few other posts but here I am! This trip report will consist of me and my fiance. We got engaged in front of Cinderella's Castle last year on May 19th! I'm Charlotte, I'm 23 next month (so I will be 24 by the time of the next trip) and I live in England if you couldn't tell by my pale pale skin! I was actually still that pale when I came back to England, nobody believed I'd been on holiday to Florida!
Last year was my fifth trip to Florida but my first trip where I've actually liked rollercoasters/thrill rides. Up until I met my fiance in 2005 I hated them! He tricked me onto Nemesis at Alton Towers and since then I've loved them so this was a whole new experience of Florida for me. I've always stayed off-site, either on I-Drive, in Kissimee or Buena Vista. I was too scared to try driving in America last year so we got taxi's/shuttle busses everywhere and it SUCKED. This next trip I will be renting a car and I am scared!! My fiance is Chris, he has just turned 25 and he will be 26 by the time of next year's trip! He also lives in England, with me. Last year was his second trip to Florida but he has also always stayed off-site on I-Drive.
SO we WERE going to book a trip in October 2012 for October 2013 but then real life got in the way, we moved out into our own home and ultimately couldn't afford it. We have been planning to put the deposit down for our wedding early next year but after some thinking and talking we decided actually we'd much rather go to Florida sooner LOL. I'm going to be studying a degree which has set holidays come September so as soon as I found out my timetable we started looking at which of my 2 sets of 2 weeks holiday would be best. Two days ago, my fiance and I headed to our local travel agent "just to check out the prices" for two weeks at Christmas. An hour and a half later we came out having booked two weeks at Art of Animation from 21st December - 4th January!! I am so excited to start planning it!!
