We're going back to Walt Disney World in May 09!...pics added

Welcome home. I can't wait to see all your pics and read your report. I know you are as tired of the rain as I am.

Welcome home! Great to meet you guys. Can't wait to read your TR-when is the next trip??

Thanks everybody-it was nice to meet each of you!! I'm thinking of heading back in December. I really, really want to see the World with Christmas lights and Joe and I both have the last three weeks of December off (with pay)...so I'm thinking of making some plans for then. I will do some pricing over the next week or so...I figure if he wants to go back why not go for it.

Just a question, are we supposed to move our PTR over to the TR board now or start a new thread? I'm a newb to TR's...

Thanks!

Leanne

December sounds great! Did you book the bounceback that was in the room? We had one for 35% off deluxes through December but we didn't take advantage of it. For your TR, just PM the moderator ( Oh Mari) and she will move it for you. I have a question for you. Did you like CBR or POFQ better?

Hi again Nichole! Wanted to answer your question...

CBR-like the theming, pool, and room decor better than POFQ but I think with CBR location is everything. We were in Barbados so the last ones on and off full buses almost every time. Occasionally the bus would hit Jamaica first and we were the thrid stop. The walk to the pool and Port Royale was long especially in the rain, in the sun not too much of a problem though. We had a hard time timing the internal bus right so we ended up walking to Port Royale a lot. Regardless of location at POFQ everything is really close and I did like having a boat ride to DTD. The food court at POFQ is really small in comparison and there is no sit down restaurant. So it really is all about each family and it's need. Funny thing the pool at CBR is really cool but Josie kept fussing she wanted to go to the kiddie pool-I guess she really liked the little ones pool at POFQ better than the ship at CBR....all opinion and needs.

Just a warning be careful at the ship pool, Josie got knocked over and nearly bit through her tongue on our last day. We filled a towel with blood-the lifeguard had me to put it in a biohazard bag and threw it away. Not a fun way to end the trip...

SO sorry to hear about Josie's hur mouth-ouvh. Poor girl. Wow, Dec-how exciting! You will have to do a TR cause thats when we want to go next year. I have seen people move their PTR over to the TR board or start a new one. I am not sure what I want to do-will decide tonight. Happy writing!

I love the theme of CBR. We were in martinque preferred so we never had a far walk. We did have a bit of a walk at SSR this year though. Poor Josie :scared1: :sad2:, if you read my last TR I warned everyone about that Pirate ship. It' so dangerous and there are so many unsupervised kids there :headache:. We tried not to go there too much because Thomas cut the side of his foot open. Also I couldn't not tell other peoples kids "please go down the slide only" again and again. So we just stayed in the big pool after that.

Hi Mary! I haven't decided how to proceed either. I don't know how to put links on the front page so I'm afraid to move it over...don't know how to get readers to the right place. My neighbor called last week to tell us that Hannah (the lab) was walking funny. Well when we got home and let her in (she is definitely walking funny) there is a huge lump between her front shoulder and her body. We've found a big lump on the nape of her neck also. Looks just like the cancer we had removed about 18months ago. Joe is going to try to get her in tomorrow but I'm afraid that there won't be much they can do this time. Major bummer. We are crazy about this dog. :worried:

Hey Nichole! Must have missed that on your TR. I was so mad. Josie had gone down the slide and this little boy came racing down and plowed right into the back of her. Two major holes in her tongue and a another big gash on the knee. If we go in December we will probably shoot for POFQ because of it's size and how much better the transportation is. We won't need a great pool in December...LOL. I'm torn, part of me wants to go in December and the other part says "ARE YOU CRAZY???"

I emailed the mod and asked her to move my pre trippie over so I can continue on it. Seemed like a better option then starting over. Poor Hannah, I am very sorry. Let me know what the vet says.

Poor Josie. I hope she is doing better. I think the rude people with unsupervised children were ALL on vacation this trip. While in line for Toy Story some little girl kept pushing Dallas and climbing on the railing, I made Dallas come stand in front of me and then she was stepping on Dale and crawling around on the floor under our feet and her mother said NOTHING. That is just one example.

We are going in September and staying at ASMovies. We stayed at POFQ in2002 and we didn't care for it. I don't think I will stay in the Cabins again either.

You will have to keep us updated on Hannah. I hope she is going to be OK.

Thanks Mary and Dana! By the end of the trip Joe had had enough of rude people. On the way to TSM our last day this man and woman holding hands start jogging/running beside Josie in the stroller and then the man jumps right in front of the stroller....kapow! Joe hits them and they look at Joe like he is the one with issues....hello stupid don't jump in front of a moving stroller and leave 2 inches of space. I think the rain made everyone dumber than normal. Oh well, still a good time.

Really enjoyed meeting all of our new DIS friends. In case your wondering, I'm kind of quiet because I have to be a royal "B" here at work. I manage 6 guys and work with another 75 or so, so it can be kind of trying at times. Keeping these guys straight wears me out. At home I'm pretty chilled out because I use all of my energy at work. If I seemed stand offish didn't mean to and don't take it personal...it takes me time to warm up to new people. Most often because I don't know what to say and don't want to look like a dork-I work in a man's world if ya know what I mean - only one other lady here in any sort of a technical role. Don't interact with adult females very often...LOL. :goodvibes

I'll try to start a TR tomorrow night when Joe is working. I'm really sleepy today at work so I will probably go to bed early...

I know what you mean about the rude people. Luckily we encountered only a few this time. Don't you love when they cut you off when you have a child in the stroller and then get mad when you almost run them over :rolleyes1. Wow sorry about Josie, that sounds very :scared1:. That Pirate ship needs to have a lifeguard since parent supervision seems to be lacking over there. So sorry to hear about Hannah :sad2: I hope she will be okay. Keep us posted.

Tried to type this up last night but my computer stalled out.

Vet says both lumps are definitely cancer. Feels that he can help her and prolong her life and it will be comfortable and happy. Going to cost $650 to have the surgery and get the high power steroids. I'm taking her in tomorrow-has to be done right away as the mass between her shoulder and her body is growing rapidly. Anyway no deposit on the next trip this month...oh well. I'd rather have another year or so with Hannah. Hope you're doing well.

Leanne

Ah, poor Hannah. Glad the vet could get her in asap and prolong her life. Hope it all goes well and she recovers quickly!

Hey Leanne! I can't wait to hear all about your vacation! I'm sorry Hannah has so much to go through, but I'm happy the vet thinks he can help! It's never easy when your fur babies are hurt! :cloud9: Hope Josie is feeling better! Stupid rude kids!!!

I am so glad Hannah is going to be OK. I hate it when Niko gets sick I always get worried. Having a pet is expensive, but worth it.

You weren't stand offish. I think you and Mary both were wonderful. I really enjoyed doing Mission Space with y'all. I have to rein it in at times because I am too out going. I don't want to come across as pushy. I guess in my job I have to be outgoing and at times I do have to be pushy. I just wish we could have met back up but the rain was the ruler.

Can't wait to read everything.

Hi Leanne!! Just checking in--hope you had a great trip even with the monsoon we had!! It was great getting to meet you Tuesday night at O'hana!! Your girls are just ADORABLE!! Did you enjoy your dinner? I LOVED it!! YUM!! Can't wait to hear all about your trip!!

Hey there, just got back to tonight and I am making the rounds to catch up with everybody!

So sorry to hear about Hannah. :sad1:
