We're going back to Walt Disney World in May 09!...pics added

The cakes are AWESOME. Maybe you could come to my Cabin and make one for Dallas so I don't have to worry about ordering one anymore............:lmao:. Seriously, they are really great. I can make a bunny cake for Easter and that is about it. I just do plain ole cakes. What did you make your fondant from. I have read about a marshmellow fondant and I think I could make it.

Thanks for the compliments on the cakes Dana. I made marshmallow fondant (MMF). It is much more tasty than regular fondant. Regular fondant tastes nasty. Making MMF was pretty easy - it's a lot of kneading and my pre-arthritic hands didn't like that much. Tastes like plain white marshmallows out of the bag. If we had an oven at WDW and I could get my pans in my suitcase, I would be more than happy to make a cake for Dallas :goodvibes

I think a glass of wine on the plane is a good idea. It will take the edge off which will be good for everyone....
Those cakes are awesome, really good. I wish you had done Avery's for tomorrow.
The Mom's stuff looks really fun. All those goodies. That will be quite a party!

We're leaving at 8:35 am so a glass of wine might be out of the question. Don't want to look like a complete whino. :lmao::lmao: I do plan to go to my family practitioner and see about something for the nerves. I get to where I almost can't breathe. I know what will be, will be and I'm safer in the air than on the ground but that doesn't help. I have never let my kids know that I'm freaking out inside. I don't want to transfer my fear. Enough about that.

I wish I lived closer. I would have loved to do a cake for Avery princess:

Sshhhh! Don't tell but I just bought Lindsey a birthday present and she doesn't know....its a secret.......guess what it is................

We're going to see the Jonas Brothers in Concert!!!!!!!!

Her birthday is the end of June and the concert is in August. She is going to FLIP. I hope I can keep it a secret.

Lindsey is going to go CRAZY!! You definitely have to keep it a secret and make sure that is the last present she opens!!:cheer2:

Awe that is so sweet. I am going to have to try and make a cake with the MMF. Amanda will be 21 in a few weeks and the mother of a good friend of hers is making the cake. She is going to have a black and white party so it is going to be a white fondant cake with a black fondant bow. I will take a picture. I need to ask Amanda if the lady is using a MMF.

I would have to have a bottle of tequila AND a few valium to get on a plane. I am the biggest chicken known to man when it comes to flying.......:lmao:. I have never flown and have no desire to do so. Dale said we could drive over to Pensacola(about 45 minutes) and take a direct flight to Orlando(flight time of about 2 hours). I told him to go right ahead I would see them at the Cabin as soon as I drove in...........:rotfl2:. Not only that the cost would be $342 each round trip(that is today's price)

WOW what a great birthday present.

I guess we'll get to have a mini DIS meet at the terminal! :cool1: It will be neat for Lindsey and Kaylee to meet. They seem to have similar interests and are really close in age. Thanks for the info on the cheaper flight credit too. I wish they'd just credit my card :)

I don't like to fly but Joe is insisting. :rolleyes1 When I worked for Ford in Detroit I used to travel all over the place. Then I grew up, saw 9/11 and had kids and now I hate it. My girls don't know that though.

I will start working on pics of my in-home celebration goodies. I need to upload pics of the cakes too. Hope you're having fun with the family. I'm looking forward to b-day party pics. :goodvibes

Those cakes are awesome! The in Home celebration looks great too. Yes I'm sure Kaylee will be happy to meet Lindsey. It stinks that Southwest doesn't just credit your card the difference :sad2: I know our return trip is going to go cheaper. I agree with you on the flying :scared: it all changes once you have kids. I usually have a half of zanax the morning of the flight.

Way to go on the Jonas Brothers tickets!! I almost bought them too but decided I didn't want to drive to Nashville on a school night and then have to stay over and Kaylee will miss school. I had lower tier tickets on hold and everything. If I told Kaylee she would probably cry :sad2: that I didn't buy them. Are you seeing them in Nashville? Lindsey is going to be thrilled :yay:.

keeping the secret will be very hard. I'm going to make sure we have the video camera charged because she is going to go off when she finds out. I'm trying to come up with something cute to present the tickets in.

WOW what a great birthday present.
Lindsey is going to love the tickets. Now I just have to keep my big trap shut about it. As for the cake, if you get ready to make and use MMF and have never used fondant let me know. I'll tell you how to prep and get it to stick. It's not bad at all.

Glad I'm not the only one in need of something to chill out during the flight. When we meet at BNA, don't mind me, I'll probably be a bit out of it :lmao::lmao:

We will be seeing the show in Nashville. The Sommet Center is only about an hour from our house so we won't have to miss school or anything. I was able to score some great lower tier tix. Of course I should have probably hung on to the money for the trip but I just couldn't resist.

If it were only and hour away I would have bought the tics too. Normally I don't care if she misses a day of school once in a while to go somewhere fun :rolleyes1. I'll probably be out of it too :lmao: from being up way too early, not that I sleep much before Disney anyway.

If we had to drive 3 hours to go to the show we probably wouldn't be going. We don't miss school unless we have doctors appt. and I try my best to schedule them as late as possible. This year Lindsey will miss school for our trip because of the ice storms. When we get back she will have 3 days of school. :sad2:

I can never sleep the night before a Disney trip. :goodvibes I usually take the day off before we leave so that I can sleep in that day and take care of last minute packing etc. There is no sleep happenin' the night before the trip. I'm way too excited.

Did you get any storms yesterday? We spent part of our evening in the closet due to a Tornado Warning. Joe is working this weekend. Seems like everytime there is a severe storm he is working. I can manage the kids and dogs fine. Maybe I'm old fashioned but I just like having him here when something crazy is going on. I just feel better in general.

We had a fairly quiet weekend with the exception of the storms. Went to a PC party today. I was good and only ordered a few small things. We also went to the mall and bought some vacay clothes. I let the girls pick out a shirt and then I picked up some new jammies for Lindsey. Josie has a ton of PJ pals so she really doesn't need any new jammies. Lindsey is getting taller by the second so all of her clothes are starting to look like she is waiting for a flood. :)

I really do not want to go to work tomorrow. I'm just not feeling it :confused3

It almost seems as if they grow taller overnight. I know Dallas seems to grown every 10 minutes. He is 10 and as tall as me.........lol. I have been good the past few days, with the shopping, we went to Payless yesterday and got Dallas some sandles and Dale some new shoes. Dallas wears a size 8 1/2 mens shoe :scared1:. I saved $12.20 with a coupon I printed and with my AAA card.

Good job on showing restraint at the PC party. Yay for vacay clothes. A and C also have new pj pals for Disney. I hope A's still fir cause she is also growing uo not out. I do not think she will ever be more than 36lb...
I do not want to clean tomoorow.....Lets Dis instead :):)

Great savings. I have a AAA card but I never think to use it :confused3 I'll have to check that out. Lindsey does not get her feet from me. They are narrow and small. Mine are ginormous. She will be 9 in June. It's sad to me how quickly she is growing up.

A will grow at her pace. Lindsey is almost nine and 53 inches tall and 50 lbs.

I would MUCH rather DIS than go to work. :goodvibes

If you guys are DISing tomorrow, then so am I...the laundry can wait!!:laundy:

I'm sure I won't sleep either the night before the trip, I'm worse than the kids . kaylee is missing the whole last week of school, they don't do any work though. I feel bad she will miss some of the fun stuff. But at least well be back for her Dance rehearsals on Saturday.

We did get storms but luckily no Tornado's, I watched the weather until 1 AM and then fell asleep. Sorry you spent half the night in a closet, the warnings are the worst. I guess you don't have a basement either?? You are just like me with the storms, my DH is Always at work and I'm usually a nervous wreck :sad2: too. Last time we had warnings ( 6weeks ago) our whole town was crazy everyone pulling thier kids out of school to get home. The sky looked very weird too :scared: and of course DH was at work. I practically begged him to come home early. Luckily we only lost a few shingles and 2 shutters. It would better to have the DH's home to help and just keep everyone calm. Anyway glad you are all okay :goodvibes.

I was laughing when I read your posts above about Lindsey and Mary's girls being so tiny. Kaylee is very petite too she is only 50 inches and 50 lbs . I used to worry about how small she was (she was a tiny little girl). I could only shop at Gymboree because they had slim sizes and adjustable waists. Unfortuntely she doesn't like Gymbo anymore and likes Justice better.

Glad all of ya'll up there are safe, we got storms, but not NEARLY as bad as ya'll got them. My family in Hopkinsville said they were scared too.

Lindsey only wants to shop at Dillards and Justice. If you don't catch a sale at Justice it can be pricey. Glad my girls aren't the only small ones :goodvibes

Glad you made it through the storms okay also. We had a hail storm and tornado here in 1998. I was in a training seminar at a local hotel. We had hail there before the tornado touched down right behind us. The hail was softball sized and totalled the car I had bought only a week prior. It sounded like a train was going through the place. I will never forget that sound coupled with breaking glass. It scared me and now I just hate storms. Lindsey missed the four days last year (again because of weather). She didn't mind it at all. She only missed movie day and field day. No loss really. A day at WDW is much better than that. :thumbsup2

Thanks!! Glad you and yours are too :goodvibes
