Boone's such a gorgeous place! We used to love to explore the areas around Boone and Blowing Rock when I lived in NC...

No, not from Boone, but we are from Raleigh. We drove in March, we will drive in August, and fly in September.

No from Boone, but from Four Oaks. We drive all the time, no kids just me and my husband. We like leaving 3:00 am and arriving at POP about 12:30 pm. We check in, grab lunch then take a nap. By 7:30 pm we're eating at Ohana or Chef Mickey's.

We're from Winchester, VA but looking to relocate elsewhere. Could you tell me about Boone? We definitely need the mountains and are looking for a slower paced community than what Winchester is becoming. We live 70 miles west of Washington, DC but DC is expanding out our way and it's becoming very fast paced, clogged with traffic and such. We also like to visit the ocean...how far is Boone to the ocean communities? Thanks for info!

We have only lived in Boone sence february, we love it here. the schools are the best that my kids have ever been to and believe me we lived almost every where there is to live. The scenery is beautiful. the beach is about 3 to 4 hours east of here. I think you would love it down here. People here are very nice and welcoming. I hoped I'v helped.
