"We're following Dad to work....SURPRISE!!!" Secret's out Trip - May/June 2013

Sounds like a great idea!!! Just tell him that we are long lost friends from...a teacher conference...not strangers...:rotfl2: maybe he'll buy it?

Ever since we had one in January (even though, as I recall we had just had a little vacation drama a.k.a. a stupid argument), my DBF still talks about Dole Whips and how amazing they are!!! So...needless to say its the first item on the "must-do" agenda.:thumbsup2

I presented the whole "maybe we could meet this teacher lady at Disney" idea and he said, "Sounds good!" WOOHOO!! We will have to make a plan when it gets closer!

You have only a few weeks to go!! How exciting. That's great that your boys had a memorable reveal of the plans! Sucking them into your fake out was great! It makes the relief and joy of the actual plan so much more enjoyable when you build on the drama!! ;)

I would love to try Splitsville! That sounds like a fun afternoon.

AKL's standard view at Jambo should have some views of the savanna. Either way, you'll see plenty of animals.

I hope you are enjoying your weekend Bridget!

Yes we are getting sooooo close!! I just can't wait!

:lmao: I love how you said that it makes the relief and joy that much more enjoyable. See!!! By pranking them, I make their life more enjoyable!!! :rotfl2:

Yep Splitsville looks nice!! I can't wait to see it. We could not justify bowling at Splitsville because of the cost. It would cost us $80 to bowl for one hour. I may be able to justify it more in November when we don't have to pay for tickets. I can however afford the $9 an hour for a pool table and maybe a little more for an adult beverage for DH and myself!

I am having a very enjoyable weekend! Thanks! I hope yours is great as well!

:rotfl2: TRUST me.... that is not an evil prank. WE love pranks, as long as they are harmless.
We once were driving with the triplets in the car. We all were hooked on Disney at this point. Well, just because I thought it was cute.... I told them we had been lying to them all their lives. Well, lying to 2 out of 3 of them. One son is named Donald. We told them that was in fact his name, but that the other two were actually named Mickey & Cinderella. They were about 9. We never thought they would really believe it. About 10 mins after the conversation stopped, "Mickey" told us "Cinderella" was crying. We asked why. She told us she didn't want her name to be Cinderella. :confused3 Now that may be considered evil. We do all laugh about it now. But, I felt horrible at the time.
So happy you were able to increase the suspense & excitement by pulling the wool over the boys eyes.

About your plans. I HATE to wear bathing suits. But, when my older kids were young DH & I decided we make lots of sacrifices for our children. Wearing swim wear is just one more. Besides I would rather someone say, "look at that fat lady playing in the water with that little girl" than look at that fat lady sitting on that chair reading a book. Besides, and I know people saying doesn't make your self believe it, but judging by your photos, you should be proud. You look marvelous. :)

I could not have said this any better. ::yes::

Hehehe that's a fun prank. It didn't last near long enough to be mean! I can just imagine the reactions though, when reading "Day 5, head home."
The real Day 5 plans look great. DHS and Epcot in the same day! I love the excitement over taking the boat.

ROFL....I LOVE your prank about their names!!! That is too funny. Poor DD not wanted to be called Cinderella!

Awww thanks for the comments about bathing suits. I don't think most people "like" their bathing suit bodies and after two kids and multiple other issues, sometimes it's hard to put one on BUT I agree with you I would rather people see me having fun with my boys than sitting there reading a book ignoring them.

Thanks D~! (Now to find a cute cover up for those buses.....)

Yep, DS6 started to lose his mind but he did recover quickly once I pulled out another paper.

We've never had park hoppers before so they have never been able to switch parks. They really think that it's neat to be able to go to more than one park in a day.

DS6 has a thing for Disney transportation. It is most likely his favorite "ride". He LOVES the monorail and the boats. We have to do the monorail loop every time even if we don't have any reason to do it. lol......

Double post! My bad!

That's o.k. I don't mind. It makes my PTR look longer and more exciting!! :rotfl2:

Excellent!! :cool1::cool1: There is that FB meet scheduled at 9pm on the 2nd, if I am remembering correctly...at the Dole Whip station, I think? We were headed there anyways, of course...for one of many dole whip treats this trip! :rolleyes1

Just saw that.....well then 9 p.m. it is!!! Now to figure out how to bombard DH with all these crazy Disney lovers who already know all about him!!! :rotfl2:

This week is Teacher's Appreciation week so I was working on their gifts WHEN......I had a wonderful idea!! You see, I was making each of their 7 teachers a key chain that holds their license and debit card (so you don't have to carry a purse). Then I got to thinking that it would be perfect at Disney!!

I don't know about you but I go through at least 2-3 of those plastic zip pouches each trip. I always worry about losing our KTTW because those pouches tear so easily with all the in and out we do.

I can't wait until I finish all seven so that I can make one for me! :thumbsup2

In the meantime, here's a picture of one of the teacher's so you can see what I am talking about!

22 days left!!

That is awesome! I love how it turned out!

D~

Those are really cool, and that's a great idea for the parks too! (And how sweet of you to make one for each teacher!)

Nice job! How thoughtful of you!

Tomorrow night the next reveal right?

Happy teachers week! Be kind to yourself. take a bubble bath or something. :)

Thanks. Yep tomorrow is the next reveal and I promise not to prank them this week!!

I'm trying to be kind to myself this week but that "or something" may end up being a big cup of something alcoholic at this rate. Our kiddos are CRAZY!! We have less than 3 weeks left and they are WILD!!

yeah, it is tough for kids to contain their excitement. .... unlike us mature adults....

Did I mentione........105 days for me.......:cheer2:

hehehe

hmm...alcohol, if you lived closer I would do a plug for my husbands place of employment.... liquor store, or as us Bostonians say....he works at the "packie"

YAY!!! Soon you will be doing the double digit dance!!! I can't wait until I hit the teen's this weekend.

I'm not sure what the "packie" is but after the week I've had.....I'm there! lol....

hehe Not sure if you folks have "liquor stores". but here only establishments with "liquor licenses" are allowed to sell any type of alcohol. So we Bostonians often refer to liquor stores as "packies" As in a 6 pack of beer.

However you enjoy the down time, just do it. relax!

We don't often have liquor stores here because as a state we are allowed to sell liquor EVERYWHERE....read: Wal-mart, grocery store, gas station, restaurants, etc.

I understand "packies" more now! lol....
