"We're following Dad to work....SURPRISE!!!" Secret's out Trip - May/June 2013

I used to catch the virus EVERY time it passed through our classroom but after a couple of years, I had an immune system of steel!! Now, I almost never catch it. Of course, it helps that I literally bathe in hand sanitizer most of the day.

haha

you are not going to believe this...before I could even type "glad you have a strong immune system" DD comes running down the stairs whining..."mom get a bucket. I think I am going to hurl". She sits on the potty, with bucket on lap.
gtg & tuck her back in.

Oh no Dee!!! Poor baby!!! I hope she feels better soon!!!

Well I bit the bullet tonight and changed our reservations!! To where? lol...nothing major....I changed our CBR standard to CBR preferred. We loved our location closer to Old Port Royale last time and I just couldn't leave it up to pixiedust: this time with Jamaica being under refurb while we are there. I had chosen Jamaica as I felt it was the closest non-preferred island but when I heard it would be getting a new paint job I was worried about ending up in Trinidad!! SO....I convinced DH that it was worth it and we upgraded! :cool1:

Tonight we shared our day 1 itinerary with the boys. They were SOOOO excited to open the paper that they asked about it 100 times between me picking them up at school and DH getting home from his trip. Finally, they were able to open it up!!! Here is what it said.......

Hi Bridget! You are one of those wonderfully creating types!! (Opposite of me!) How funny about the miscommunication regarding the big reveal for your trip! And congrats on your new home ownership. I would love to own DVC..I would have to stop going to WDW to afford that - ironic huh? ;)

Love your top thread badge! :)

I love the way you did it! Where they all excited?

DD was all better by morning and did go to school today. She never did actually "hurl". Thank goodness.

Awww you're super sweet!!! I'm sure you're creative too.

Yeah we so were NOT on the same page!! Geez....but we love how the boys are so excited now that they know!

I completely understand about DVC. I could have afforded it this year but we planned three Disney trips instead! It's our first time ever to be able to do that and may be our last time to do it as well but it will be a fun year!!

Yep my top thread badge was for a thread I had started about the Disney trip contest in January. It was definitely a hit!! My PTR on the other hand is not! :rotfl2:

They were super excited!!! They practiced saying, "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THIS is Trinidad North." as well as all the other "islands" most of the evening and then again today at the bus stop. They are so ready to be there! Each Thursday we will share a new page. We will have exactly enough pages to give them the last one the day we leave for Disney but they don't know that yet. They haven't figured out how many days we are staying yet and even think it may be only a weekend thing because of the new house.

:thumbsup2 This is going to be awesome! I can't wait until every Friday to hear their excitement in your written word!

So you are staying the first two nights at Caribbean Beach and then Beach Club?? I love the Epcot resort. :lovestruc

Yep we are blessed this year to be able to go to the Beach Club Villas by renting points. I really am excited about staying there but I'm afraid it will force me to purchase DVC! lol.....

Nope no new reveal until next Thursday. We are going to reveal each Thursday night until our trip. Last night was our first reveal and the boys loved it. Trying to keep it suspenseful for them. lol....especially since this was supposed to be a surprise trip. :rotfl:

This is totally :offtopic: but today we completely tore up our front yard.

It went from this

Yes I know it looks really bare right now but we do have a plan. It will just take a while to complete our plan. I want to extend the concrete out about three or four more feet and put some type of dark wooden rocking chair there with a really nice shutter that I'm having made for the window in the middle of the brick wall. I do also plan to put some roses and maybe a couple other plants back but for now it had to go!

The good news is that I sold ALL of the bricks around the hedges and got enough to pay for one more TS at Disney. See how that works right? :rotfl2:

Whew, now for soccer and dinner with the in-laws!! I love when she cooks. Her cooking skills are beyond amazing!

Hello! :wave2: I lurked around your last report so now I'm coming out of the woodwork on this one! Subbing for the rest of the story!

:welcome: back!!! I remember you from the last one. I think you checked in a couple of times with things to comment on! I'm glad you are hanging around for this one!!

**********************************************************

This week has been super crazy with state testing going on in our schools. We are tired, the kids are tired, I'm ready for it to be over tomorrow!!

Talking to DS6 a couple nights ago about his testing, he says, "I read those questions but I didn't read all that stuff at the top." I asked him why and his answer was "well I didn't think the answers were up there." Ummm he had taken the reading part and the "stuff up there" was the stories that the questions were about. I'm so thankful that it's not pass or fail for him yet since he's only in first grade!

Last night he was exhausted and went to bed around 5. He did wake up for about an hour to eat and take a bath but that was it. :faint:

50 days til vacation!!!!!!!!!!!!

It gets harder and harder waiting for each day to pass....maybe it's because we have been testing (or in my case watching two classes in one classroom so another teacher can test in my room) so the days are slowly dragging by. I don't know what it is but I need some Disney in my life ASAP!!!

SO I'm going to share our day 2 plans today just because I need to talk Disney and no one wants to listen! lol.....

So on day 2 we will wake up and try to make rope drop (or as close to it as possible). We hope to ride all that we want in FUtureWorld before lunch, eat lunch at Sunshine Seasons and head over to World Showcase. I plan for us to spend the majority of our day doing Phineas and Ferb quests while eating/drinking/playing our way through the countries.

I definitely want to try a Grey Goose slushie. Is there another drink I should try as well? I'm pretty excited about trying a few drinks this time. I did not drink any on our first trip because DH was sick in bed and I was the only one always out with the kids who never felt like stopping long enough to wait in a drink line. The second time I chose not to get a drink because DH's parents are non-drinkers and I wanted to respect them and their choices by not drinking in front of them. Now don't get me wrong....I'm a one drink girl and that's all. Please don't think I'm a drunk just because I'm asking for drink choices.......:duck: whew back on topic......

Anyways, so we will spend most of our day doing the Phineas and Ferb thing and I'm perfectly o.k. doing that. For dinner we have reservations at Teppan Edo which I am VERY excited about. I know the kids will love it because we have a restaurant like this close to our house that they love to go to. After dinner we may or may not stay in Epcot. We may end up going to MK to see wishes or we may stay in Epcot and go to our hotel after Illuminations. I'm not the biggest fan of Illuminations. It may be my least favorite fireworks show of the three but then again, maybe I should give it another try.

So what are good snacks in WS? Anything I HAVE to try?

Can't give any advice on the drinks I'm afraid, I'm a non-drinker but only because I really hate the taste of alcohol! (Although if anyone gives you a non-alcoholic fancy drink to try I'm jumping in! lol)
Sounds like a good plan for day two!

I'm taking advice on those too!!! I know that I'm supposed to try the milk shakes at Sci Fi and a few other things. I'm more of a slush girl than a shake girl. Shakes fill me up and don't seem to quench my thirst. :confused3

I just found your TR although I think you are almost done. I will read it starting later today!! Thanks for sharing it!

No advice on the drinks. However, if they still have the rum infused Dole whips...that sounds good.
Day 2 sounds awesome. Is tonight the next reveal? I can't remember if you were skipping this Thursday for some reason.

I know what you mean about needing a Disney fix. Thank goodness we found these disboards, huh?!

Have a great day!

Day 2 sounds like a good plan! Can't offer advice on drinks myself, being under 21 and all. But my parents enjoyed the margaritas in Mexico if you like that sort of thing! I've also read that the beer in Germany is worth a try if you or DH is a beer drinker!
I can't wait to see your post on the WS, we did the Kim Possible missions and loved them! I liked Kim, but I guess that's because I grew up watching the show. But I love Perry and the gang as well, so I'm looking forward to seeing the changes they made!

OH MY GOODNESS, I just realized you were a fellow Louisianan!
I'm from the lower part of the state, below New Orleans.
