Welcome to anyone who cares to join me on our latest Disney adventure! I must preface this report my saying that I have written a PTR in the past and begun a TR, but never finished it. I know, shame shame on me! For the past couple trips I havent written either, however, and I really really really am going to follow through on this one, I pinky promise! So, with that in mind, I hope that a few people will tag along for the ride. Although this is easily my 12th Disney trip, this one will be different in a few ways. BUT, youll have to read on to find out why
..Im mean like that
Well, enough chit chat, its time for introductions! Its just me and DH on this trip. Here are a couple pictures of us from our honeymoon. Sorry if the pictures are huge. Photobucket is being a pain tonight and not letting me resize anything. I will make sure to work it for the next post.
We were married in October 2009 (after 10!! Years of dating), and of course spent our honeymoon at Disney! We were blessed to spend two glorious weeks at the happiest place on earth. We bought DVC a couple months before the wedding, so we did a split stay between BLT and BWV. Our home is BWV, but we just couldnt pass up the chance to stay at the new BLT! Let me just say , we are officially BLT fans!! We LOVED it there! The convenience was wonderful, and it just feels sooo magical staying on that side of the World! This was the view from our room. We could see the water parade perfectly, which I LOVE!!
We spent our second week at BWV, and although we still love it, our room was less than great. The first room we got smelled of mold, but we had to endure it until the next day. We got a less stinky room the next day, which we were hoping would be a refurbished BWV room, but alas, no. It was still nice, but as it was a standard view, it lost a little something in translation I think. Wow, I really got off the topic of introductions there. Anyway, my DH is Sam and I am Ashley. Sam is 31, and works as a financial analyst. He is also in a band that writes and records childrens music. Its very catchy stuff- think School House Rock, turned modern day. He has been a Disney junkie since he first vacationed there with my family in 2003, for my college graduation present. As for me, I just turned 30 in December, and I am a special education teacher. I currently teach a classroom of students with autism. I have been a Disney junkie since about elementary school! Our familys first trip was when I was 9 or so, and we were all hooked from then on! My dad refused to stay anywhere other than the Grand Floridian, so it wasnt until Sam and I started going that we branched out in our hotel choices. I think to date we have stayed in 7 Disney hotels.
Ok, thats basically us in a nutshell, but I thought it would be nice to share some of our Disney favorites:
Sam:
Park: Toss up between Epcot and MGM (yes, it will always be MGM to us!)
Rides: Hands down, TOWER OF TERROR. He also loves Carousel of Progress, Everest,Big Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, Soarin, Spaceship Earth, and One Mans Dream
Hotel: Polynesian- such a shame they dont have DVC!
Restaurants: Hes not picky, but Sci-Fi is a sentimental favorite, and JIKO of course cant be beat!
Just a couple pictures for good measure and to hopefully keep some people reading
Ashley:
Park: Epcot
Rides: Tower of Terror, Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, Spaceship Earth, Carousel of Progress, Kilimanjaro Safari, and One Mans Dream.

Restaurant: JIKO, Sanaa, Boma, and CA Grill.

So, those are our favorites .I think. We really just love everything I think, so maybe those are more just the first things that came to my head
Oh, on a side note, I cant very well write a PTR without at least introducing our two little pooches! We have 2 miniature schnauzers, who are of course adorable! Their names are Noel and Disney- yeah, we like The World, we like Christmas, and we LOVE The World at Christmas.
So, I guess it is time for a little background about this trip. This is our 3rd trip as DVC members, but our first time staying in the room of our dreams!! We have finally scored a BWV, Boardwalk view studio!! We had one booked last year, but I got a new job that forced us to switch our dates. It was totally worth the new job, trust me, but it was sad to have to cancel our Boardwalk room. We ended up with an amazing DTD view room at SSR, and we really did love it but it was no BWV! This year, we are leaving the day after school get out and staying for 9 nights. Our dates are June 18-27, woohoo! Beofre I went back to school to be a teacher, we used to always vacation in October or early December, when the crowds and temperatures were lower, but alas, we are now tied to the school calendar. The summer is hot, but its still DISNEY, and we LOVE it! Last year marked the first year we did not fly down. We made the 11 hour drive, and surprisingly enough, we didnt hate it at all! We actually enjoyed it, and we are driving again this year. We ended up saving a bundle of money, and it was also nice to be able to take down so much food and water.
Well, I think that about sums up the introductions and bare bones of the trip. I will certainly post more about ADRs and park plans later on. BUT, I do have one piece of the trip plans to share before I close for the evening. You see, we just found out that for this trip, we will be carrying a stowaway! We are 6 weeks pregnant with what we hope will be another Disney fan!! Well call this babys first Disney trip. Of course its really early on in our pregnancy journey, and we know things can still go wrong this early on, so we havent told anyone outside of our families yet. Soooo, anyone reading should feel super special! I know, however, that whatever is meant to be will be, and I also know that the people on the Disboards are truly wonderful people and will be my online support should something happen
Plus, since we dont know you guys face to face, we assume you wont be running out and telling all of our friends, haha! So, this trip, as promised will be a bit different for us. There will definitely be a lot more hotel breaks during the day, and of course I won't be able to ride some of my favorites. But that's ok, I am so excited!!

Well, thats a wrap for me tonight. Sam should be back from school any minute (hes in grad school now), and I need to get ready for work tomorrow
