That is what we are hoping to do too My DD is 7, how old is yours?? She liked the idea of points now but, honestly (like you said) we will just look for them for fun when we get there!

I wanted to ask you---have you ever brought a VB backpack to the park instead of the hipster? Thoughts? My hipster rubbed on my shoulder last year and I was thinking a backpack may be better It could fit more too...

My DD is 7 and she'll be 8 in October. While I checked out everything at Tren-D last June, my DH and DD went into Once Upon a Toy to look for Hidden Mickey's. They had a lot of fun!

We ended up getting my hubby a backpack when we went to WDW in January to hold all of our gloves and hats, etc. It worked out great, I think we are going to bring it again. I guess I never would have thought to have him carry something too!!

My kids loved it too! I can't wait to surprise them in December with the stockings from Mickey!

The stocking is a cute idea. Mickey could leave it on the first night with a note for them to put it out every night.

As for tips about pins, buy more than you think you will need b/c trading is addictive. I bought a bulk lot on ebay that made the pins less than $2 each (including shipping). And I don’t mind if there are duplicates b/c that way the kids can pick the ones they want to keep and still have traders. Oldest DS is the only one who has pin traded in the past but this year we are going to let the 2 younger ones try, I don’t know how confusing this is going to get b/c our rule is you only put pins you want to trade on your lanyard, any pins you want to keep go in my park bag – I read stories of kids accidentally trading pins they wanted to keep and I didn’t want to have that happen. I think it’s neat how DS will pick a theme each trip and then try to find as many pins as he can to go along with that theme.

I was thinking of buying from Ebay b.c my daughter picks out so many expensive ones in WDW! That is a great idea about the theme and only bringing the ones you want to trade. I will have to let my DD know that is what we are doing this year!

I don't think it's ever to early to start shopping for a trip! I love all of your finds! I wonder if the lady on Etsy could do a honeymoon type design on a luggage tag? I would love to have one of those for our trip! I definitely need one of those carriage necklaces, too! Since I'm planning on spending more time in WS this time, I really want to do the pick a pearl!

I think me favorite thing to buy for Disney trips are toiletries! They aren't the most exciting items, but I just love making that Target run right before a trip!

Looks like you've had some fun shopping. The luggage tags, swim suits, and carriage necklaces are all awesome finds. I haven't seen the carriage necklaces before. I don't know how I missed the pick-a pearl last trip. DD and I will have to try it this year.

What's my favorite thing to shop for - everything. I've been buying capris and swim suits for DD and DS now that the summer clearance sales have started. DD likes to come along but she also likes to tell DH everything I buy. Good thing DH agrees I'm a bargain shopper. I love finding little things to surprise the kids on the plane.

TS3 is my favorite of the movies! Although, Big Baby scares me. Haha. I have to tell you that I definitely cried at the end. (My mom did, too. She was thinking about me growing up.)

Our CP was at Chefs and we had a great time. It's so pretty inside, and the food was fantastic. I am more of a Chefs fan that LC, I suppose. I love the Chefs ambiance and decor a lot more, especially for the "pretty" aspect since you're heading to CP afterwards.

Can I say I enjoy shopping for EVERYTHING?!?! Ok--if I have to decide it would be customs for the girls!! LOVE shopping--but you know that already!! Love the bathing suits, sunglasses, pearl cages, etc!! Wasn't that TS3 article neat?! Oh--and a good friend of mine from high school--we did theater and film production together--he posted pics of him doing SCC's newest music video!!! Cool, huh?!

Finally caught back up! TS3 is my favorite of the three, though they're all good. I am only slightly embarassed to admit that I cried at the end, especially for the Andy leaving for college thing. I thought of daughter leaving for college and she's only a few weeks old! Starting early thinking about that I guess.

We're hoping for Le Cellier for the CP too. We have an ADR for Teppan Edo right now as a backup.

I'm all caught up! I loved the stuff that you purchased but think that I would like to get three of the carriages. I'm thinking that it would be a really special souvenier for myself, my mom and Payton to have after our trip in December. Payton picked a pear on our last trip and got twins.

As for all the shopping...it is never to early to start. As you can see in my ptr, I have been shopping for Christmas gifts for the trip as well. I love a great bargain!!

love all the latest purchases!!! I made our luggage tags for our last Dec trip- just printed out in color and laminated myself at kinko's, so easy! i did lime green mickey head shapes with our phone/addy on the back!

love the suits and sunglasses too- so adorable!

Hi Katie! Love the sunglasses and pearl cages (How funny, I bought two for my girls also!). Lindsey has borrowed my Hidden Mickey book and she loves it. Since the crowds might be a little crazy next weekend we will be using the Hidden Mickey book to fill time if we aren't up to waiting in a long line.

I love shopping as well. I enjoy finding cute, coordinating outfits for the girls. I also like little things that make the trip easier (like the zip line fastpass holder and the clip on hand sanitizer-fits on the backpack strap and always handy!).

Those pins do get exspensive, don't they? I think what we'll do for the next trip is I'll get a lot from Ebay. Longingtobatdisney gave me the link for a good seller, if you want I can PM it to you! Each day the girls will choose a few to trade and then on the last full day they'll choose one or two to buy from one of the favorite things they did. (Maybe from an amazing character encounter, or new ride that they loved, etc!!)
