We're Dreaming of a WL Christmas! DEC 2010 INTERACTIVE PTR NEW: 12/9 BYE-BYE!

HI EVERYONE!!!! I have NOT left the boards :lmao: I have just had two minor problems standing in the way of me posting.

1) I made up a post for our Imagination Movers experience and tried to post it the night of the show! Well, the post was huge and did not fit in the guidelines of the post box. Any ideas why? I am going to try again tomorrow if I have time. Hang in there  It is worth it!! I had a celebrity sighting and I even chatted with him! I also became a celebrity myself...stay tuned ;)

2) We are MOVING!! It has all happened so fast! We have put the house up on the market and are going to buy a lot to build on. Lots of showings this weekend, so I have been preparing my home for them. I promise to be on very soon with lots of fun updates!!

OH--and if that is not enough, ADRs are to be made in 2 days :scared1:

Katie, I havent been around a lot lately either, so I understand being busy!!! Things are finally starting to calm down for me. Good luck with your move! I saw your IM pics on FB...can't wait to read the story to go with them! And your binder looks great!!!

Not sure why it wouldn't all fit in one post, but you can divide it into a couple of posts. I do know there is a 25 picture max on a post. Can't wait to read all about it!

Wow, you really do have a lot going on!! I'd worry about ADRs first, then showing your house. ;)

Perhaps you had too many pictures in your post. I know when I do my TRs, I occasionally get a message that it's too long and I have to either cut out some pics or split it into 2 posts.

Can't wait to hear about your celebrity experience!

How exciting about the move! We built the house we live in now, and while it can be stressful it's also a lot of fun picking everything out and seeing it all come together. Good luck!

Looking forward to your IM post!

Wow! You've got a lot going on! How exciting about the move! :goodvibes I totally understand about being busy - now that I'm working full time (and going to school full time) I have so little free time so it's hard to get caught up on here! I can't wait to read all about the IM concert though! :yay: As for the posting issues, I've never ran into that, but I would think it's probably something with the sizing of the pictures ( I think you might have mentioned that). Have you tried resizing them in PB, or maybe re-uploading them? :confused3

**I think I have the "oversized posts" figured out. My son was banging on my keyboard and changed the size of my screen to 150%!! Please let me know if you can see this post ok. Thanks for your understanding!!**

Ok everyone---on to Imagination Movers!!

A little back story for those who don’t know already. The Imagination Movers live and tape their show about 45 minutes from where we live. They offered FREE tickets to locals for the taping of a Disney Channel special. Only a few of them were available (they gave the rest to firefighters, law enforcement, radio, etc). I was one of the lucky ones to get 6 of the free tickets! They were so kind to offer them for free!

I ordered the kids custom Imagination Movers shirts from a lady on Ebay. This woman was SO fast! She had them ready and mailed to me the same day I placed the order. I loved how they came out!

We arrived to the arena about an hour early. When we walked in, we noticed a line forming behind a camera crew. I quickly figured out that they were interviewing families and having the kids play instruments for the intro and filler segments of the show. So, of course…we got in line!

About half way through, we came to an area by the elevator. I was holding my toddler, phone, 2 cotton candies and my camera. I felt a bump on my shoulder and a long drawn out “eexxccuussee meee”. I turned around and it was Knit Knots!! (a character from Imagination Movers). He was in full character and costume and had just gotten off of the elevator to mingle with the crowd. I grabbed for my camera..but he moved away too quickly. We were laughing and saying “what are the odds?”

Well….

2 minutes later (had my back turned to the elevator AGAIN) and I heard the crowd gasp. I turned around and Duff from Ace of Cakes was standing literally 2 inches away from me. Something came over me and I just yelled “DUFF!!” like I was old buddies with him :lmao: He just laughed and said “HI” and walked right past me to his entrance. I barely got this quick shot before he got away!

Well, it was finally our turn. After signing the release forms, they made us put generic colored tshirts on the kids because they were wearing Imagination Movers shirts. What?! They also made my husband put tape over his polo horse on his shirt. We took our place behind the drums and the kids started banging away.

Meanwhile, the lady stumped me and started asking me tons of questions! I was not expecting this and I really did not know what to say! She asked me what I was expecting from the concert and I just said something along the lines of “Wholesome family fun…hometown band…kids are excited” HECK! I have NO IDEA what I was saying. Then she had Abby use a fake phone and we all gathered around her and said “Calling all movers!” She made us repeat it about 5 times. I really do not think they will use our footage but if they do, I am the silly looking lady in light blue  I was not allowed to take pictures of the autograph area, but I snuck one like a good DISer would!

House007.jpg

Sorry---that was the best I could do!!

Cont on next post...

After our claim to fame, we took our seats. For FREE tickets, they were not bad at all!! Here was our view…

House010.jpg

They explained to the audience how it was a taped show and that it may have to stop every now and then to adjust for sound, etc.

Then…the show began!

Of course, no show is complete without Joey Fatone (ex N’Sync member) to open up!

House063.jpg

Here come the Movers!

House070.jpg

House071.jpg

House086.jpg

These guys were all over the stage and audience-

House089.jpg

Then, Nina came out!

House092.jpg

She explained that she was from Hawaii and wanted to teach everyone to hula. When they were putting on her costume, complete with flower leis, and she said “OH! I just got leid!”….. WOWZA! That did not come out right!

Then, her earrings kept banging against her microphone (here she is trying to fix it)

House105.jpg

Ok---I would say both of those are good enough reasons for their first “CUT”:rolleyes1

After a moment, they were back on. While we were all waiting, the Movers tried to entertain us. One of them told a good Disney joke..

“Why can’t Cinderella play sports?”…… "Because she keeps running away from the ball!”

The show started again and they got through the hula section. Next, one of the Mover’s got his foot stuck in a bucket. They were going into their song “brainstorming” and the smoke machine started. It was SO MUCH smoke that they just all started laughing!! You could barely see them!

House129.jpg

“CUT!!”

They tried it again, but with confetti

House135.jpg

Much better!! Next, Joey Fatone came out again and did a trampoline routine.

House138.jpg

Then Knit Knots (from my earlier encounter) came onto the stage.

House156.jpg

They did a segment on Monsters who weren’t scary.

House154.jpg

Last---Duff from Ace of Cakes made his appearance and played Bass with the band. He did great!!

House148.jpg

The show was great!! My kids loved it and so did my husband and I. I can not wait for you to watch it on Disney Channel!! I will let you know when I find out the date it will air.:goodvibes

Question of the Day:

quest.jpg

“Have you ever met a celebrity? If so, who was it and did they act/look like you expected?"

That is so great!!

I love Duff!!!

Do you live near Baltimore? Did they have a cake from Ace of Cakes??

Katie, I havent been around a lot lately either, so I understand being busy!!! Things are finally starting to calm down for me. Good luck with your move! I saw your IM pics on FB...can't wait to read the story to go with them! And your binder looks great!!!

Me too! Thank you. It should be a pretty easy move..right down the street! I just posted the IM post! Thanks about the binder--it was so fun!

Not sure why it wouldn't all fit in one post, but you can divide it into a couple of posts. I do know there is a 25 picture max on a post. Can't wait to read all about it!

I figured it out...it was MY computer screen! My son made the screen 150% big! hehe. Just posted about Imaginaton Movers!

how exciting - on all 3 accounts

Thank you so much!! I think so too!

Craziness! I don't envy you having to show your house.

Amanda

HEHE I know what you mean. My hubby is a real estate broker so, unfortunately, we are moving a lot. Can't pass up good deals! BUT this house we are going to build is it...we are in it for a long time!

I agree!!! I told my hubby ADRs before sales! haha!

I figured out what it was. It was my computer screen---my son changed the screen to 150%! haha Just posted about the Imaginaton Movers!!

Moving! How exciting! Are you staying close by or is it a long distance move?

We are staying in town. Going to rent for a year or two while we build. Very exciting...just don't like to move my stuff!!

How exciting about the move! We built the house we live in now, and while it can be stressful it's also a lot of fun picking everything out and seeing it all come together. Good luck!

Looking forward to your IM post!

Thanks!! We actually built the house we lived in previously so I have an idea of what I want. Everything takes so long though! I just posted about IM!!!!

Wow! You have a lot going on. Can't wait to hear more about it! Are you moving far?

Thanks girl!! Nope--just right down the street!

Good luck with the showings!

Thank you!! I am hoping not to have to show it too much!

That is so great!!

I love Duff!!!

Do you live near Baltimore? Did they have a cake from Ace of Cakes??

He was really funny and seemed so nice like on the TV show. No, I live in Louisiana...would have been SOOO cool if he brought a cake!! He might have had it backstage :confused3

Looks like a great show - what a wonderful experience

Thank you!! It was really cool to see the tv crew in action :lovestruc

How fun!! It's awesome that you got to meet Duff!! Too cool.

Hmm, I have only met football players from autograph signings. I was in Disney and got to see Jordan Sparks while she was filiming the music video for the AI experience in DHS. Tim and I were extras in the video( the audience), but it's hard to actually see us when we see the video. I know where we are standing, but the scene goes by so fast.

How great a day! I love that you saw Duff from Ace of Cakes. I love those guys on that show.

You're cracking me up how you snuck and got those prohibited pictures! Gotta take care of the DIS crowd! HA
