She is so adorable! Thanks for sharing all the pictures. Can't believe she is 4 months already, time flies. My little guy just turned 6 months. Loving all the Disney talk. The poly will be so great for her first trip!
Thanks! Yes, time really flies by! I can't believe your little guy is 6 months already. I can't wait to take her to the Poly. And WDW, of course.
What adorable pictures!
I love the pictures of Dug Baby and Bailey.
Thanks! She has taken such an interest in Bailey recently. She just wants to pet her and laugh at her. I think Bailey will be more interested once Dug Baby learns how to throw a ball so they can play fetch
Baby Dug looks like she fits in her Exersaucer very well. How tall is she? We've been trying to find one for DS because he loves to stand as well but they are all to tall for him.
We just had a pediatrician appointment today, so I can tell you she is 25 inches (80th %). We have the exersaucer on the shortest setting. When we first tried her in it, she had trouble reaching the bottom. I had read reviews from people who had put things on the bottom (a textbook, a folded up blanket, etc.), so I tried that, but it didn't really work that great. Although, my lap desk (hard top, cushy bottom) worked okay. What helped us most was realizing that she was not too stable and instead stuffing the back of her seat with the Moby Wrap I had laying around (a blanket would work too). Keeps her standing up straight and her feet touch the actual bottom that way.
Where do I start? Cuteness overload. Dug Baby is so adorable and she is getting so big. I love all of her clothes, especially the Death Star onesie. My husband said he wants a shirt like that. LOL.
Dug said he found it on Cafe Press. Not sure if they make husband shirts, though!

Yeah, she has quite the wardrobe right now. A lot of the stuff we got as gifts fits her at this size (she can wear 0-3 mo, 3 mo, and 3-6 mo, depending on the item).
Very cute!!
Oh man! Sophie was a hit in our house. Probably starting about 4.5 or 5 months. Then Sophie went with us more often than the paci. He LOVES her. He still will start giggling and grinning when I hand her to him!
We also love the ergo! It's been fabulous!
That's awesome that Sophie was such a hit. Dug Baby is not convinced yet. She is still a big fan of her paci, though. I'm sure Sophie will get more interesting in the next month or so. I'm glad to hear that you like the Ergo. I've heard good things about it, but it's still a little foreign to me. I got used to the Moby during my leave, but this is so different. I think I just need to use it more and get used to getting it on and off, adjusting it, etc. I think it would be handy to have at WDW (along with the stroller).
What a cutie! Thanks for sharing - you put a smile on my face!
Thanks!

Hope your little one is doing well too! (I've fallen behind on your PTR...)
OMG!!! Such a cute baby!
Thank you!
She is just getting cuter and cuter as the months go on! Just adorable! When my son was little we joined a mother/baby group and it was a great decision. So nice to make friends with a kiddo the same age. Even though we've moved several times since then we still keep in touch with some of the families we met at our mother/baby group.
Thanks. Wow, that's awesome that you're still in touch with some other families from that group! It's really neat to have some moms to talk to that have babies so close in age. Hopefully the babies can become friends too. I'm glad I stumbled across this group.
Wow your photos of Dug Baby are all so AWESOME... she really is adorable... I had a big laugh at your New Year's mini ball drop...

& I love that she and Bailey are quite the chums...
The Poly... I know I can always come here to get some Poly love... so close to the transportation... & Kona... pressed pots and Macadamian nut butter...(should be illegal) you know thinking about it ... it smells relaxing in there... hmmm.... must be all the running water...
Thank you. Yeah, the ball drop was fun. She loved watching the tennis ball slowly drop. Bailey liked it too.
Ah, the Poly...

Wish I were there right now!
Calvin just went to the doctor yesterday for his 4 month shots and he's 14 pounds 11 ounces

She asked me how much he's eating and I said between 40-44 ounces a day and she told me he should only be eating 30-32 ounces at his age

He's a big boy I guess! Have you started her on solids yet? She told me to start feeding him some homemade brown rice cereal to cut down on eating so much breastmilk, but i'm not sure if I want to do it just yet. Perhaps i'll just wait until month 5 and give it a try.
Wow, Calvin's a big guy! We just had our 4 month appt. this morning. She weighed in at 13 lb. 9 oz. (50th %), 25 in. long (80th %) and 16.5 in. head (75th %). Sounds like Calvin is eating a lot! Dug Baby usually takes in 12-16 oz. while I'm gone during the day and nurses the rest of the time, so I don't know exactly what she's getting. But she gained around 10 oz. in the last week, which is pretty crazy! I have heard that breastfed babies should eat 19-30 oz./day and typically eat 1-1.5 oz. for each hour that you are away from them (kellymom.com is a good resource for this info). We have not started solids yet. Our pediatrician said today that anytime from 4-6 months is fine and some rice cereal is fine, but not to do that exclusively and to use oatmeal and fruit/veggie purees too. I'm planning to wait until closer to 6 months, as I've heard that their digestive systems are better developed at that point. I'm also just starting to read a book about "baby led weaning", which is essentially skipping cereals and purees and going right to self-feeding table foods. Not sure what we'll do yet, but I'm thinking maybe a mix of that and purees starting around 6 months. We'll see. For the first year, their main source of nutrition should be breastmilk or formula and all food is just for "practice" anyway. I wonder if Calvin was going through a growth spurt with all that eating? Also, not sure how he's being fed, but sometimes breastfed babies can overeat from bottles, since they can't control them as well. I know there are good articles online about how to bottle feed a breastfed baby (that kellymom site has good info on that too). Might be something to look at, but, then again, he might just be a big eater. Geez, sorry for such a long response!
I love that you do her monthly pictures with her Minnie mouse and on that chair! It really shows how much bigger she's getting!
Thanks! I've seen other people do similar things and liked it and copied it. I love how she went from being indifferent to Minnie and flopped over on the chair to being playful with Minnie and sitting up in the chair.
How is that monitor working for you? As of now, Calvin is still in our room because he's waking up every couple hours to eat and his nursery is waaaay on the other side of the house, so no crib yet. But looking for a good video monitor for when he does sleep in his room one day (which I feel won't be for a while)
Love it! We have the Motorola one (3.5 in., I think) and it is great. I'm watching her sleep on it right now, actually! I am such a visual person that an audio-only monitor would have me running up to peek in on her all the time. This is so much easier. Especially when she makes noises where you can't quite tell if she's upset...I can look and easily tell if she's awake and fussing or asleep and about to settle again. We just moved her to her crib/nursery a couple weeks ago. I didn't think she'd do so well, so I thought it would be a gradual transition. But, she did great and has been there ever since. The monitor was also nice before we transitioned because we'd use it if we got up for the day before she did...watch her in our room in her Rock 'n' Play while we went downstairs.
Hope you don't mind me asking all about the products you use.
Not at all!
I love watching her grow!
Not to butt in, but my DD was small at her 4 mo appt and the Dr. also suggested brown rice cereal. We have decided to wait until 6 mo- it's what everything else I've read says to do! She also is still in the Rock N Play in our room. Can't wait til all these babies go on their first Disney trip!
Sounds like we're in the same boat on waiting until 6 months. I do want to have Dug Baby start sitting in her high chair at the table with us soon, though, because that way we can see when/if she starts becoming interested in food. She generally has not been, but she was trying to grab my sandwich out of my hand when we went out for lunch today.

If she seems ready sooner than 6 months, maybe we'll try something, but the plan is to wait until then.
Love that Rock 'n' Play. We're still using it for naps and for extended outings/visits. We just have to make sure to strap her in now, since she's strong enough that I worry she could flip herself out of it (part of why we moved her to the crib).
It's going to be so amazing to take them to Disney! Seeing the magic reflected in her little (giant) eyes will be incredible!
