We're Celebrating our Marriage with a trip to Disney World! Itinerary final touches

There was a 20% off the dining plan with the room that we booked, so we did get a deal on that.

I am reading a food trip report now and it is making me hungry. And they are posting pictures of coke, and it's making me want one so bad! haha.

Thanks so much Michele! We will have a great time. I hope you do as well and I hope the weather holds out for you. Have an amazing anniversary trip.

Thank you!!

You itinerary looks great

A preferred room just means you will be put in a building close to food court and bus stop. More than likely you will be placed in either 50s or 60's building

Unfortunately, has nothing to do with whether you get double beds or King size bed. I would call up reservations and ask them to put in a request for King sized bed and make sure you tell them it is your honeymoon.

When you check in, ask if you got a king sized bed? If they say no, very sweetly tell them it is your honeymoon and is there anyway you could get one....You might get some pixie dust...you never know:wizard:

Rainforest Cafe, is overpriced food. You are paying for atmosphere and just mediocre food.

Boma is a great restaurants, as long as you are not afraid to try new things. Plus the resort is amazing!!!

So, I've decided to change my Biergarten reservation to Coral Reef. I have heard the food is good there, but I was nervous about the menu a little bit. Plus Dillon and I love aquariums, so I think this is a better suited place for us. I am not a seafood fan at all, but Dillon is, and there's a few menu options that I know I will enjoy as well. It's an early dinner at 4:40, but the only other time was 7:20, and that's cutting it close to the 9:00pm Illuminations time, and I would really like to see that.

Still considering the RC/Boma change. Need to talk that one over with Dillon and see which he'd rather. I'm a little torn. While I like the sound of the menu at RC better (Although I want to try new things, I sometimes chicken out) I really want to check out the AK Lodge. It looks like an amazing resort.

When I first read this I was like NOOOO! We really enjoyed Beirgarten... however I've also read some pretty decent reviews of Coral Reef lately (before we went in 2009 the reviews were pretty bad!) The problem with Epcot as opposed to the other parks is there are SO MANY restaurants to try!! It's hard to make the decision! Eating near the aquarium sounds awesome but not gauranteed to be next to it either...

If the menu at Boma isn't interesting to you than I wouldn't select that... however I still wouldn't pick Rainforest Cafe either.... Personally I would be going to the Beach Club and doing Cape May, however with DH's allergy to seafood that isn't an option for us. I've heard the non-seafood options are delicious but hubby can't risk cross contamination and juices always fly when I try and eat crab legs! :headache: The Grand Floridian Cafe gets excellent reviews and then you would have a chance to explore that resort which is awesome! I sat in the lobby for a couple of hours relaxing and enjoying the piano music!

I really want to see the Grand Floridian. If we had the money, that's definitely where we would be staying. I will take a look at some more menus and see if there is anything we want to try other than RC. Thanks for the tips. :goodvibes

So I took a look at the menu for the Grand Floridian Cafe, and decided that that is where we want to go. I really wanted an excuse to see that resort, and now we have it. So there it is: Grand Floridian Cafe on Sat April 21 @ 6:20.

Now they say allow an hour and a half for transportation. Does that mean we have to be at each bus stop 90 minutes before a reservation or park open time? Cause that sounds like a lot of time, when we don't really have a huge amount of time in the parks as is.

I heard it is very good there. I thnk that was a good choice :thumbsup2

No, not at all.

If you were at MK, You just hop on the monorail to get to GF for your reservation.. I would probably get on it about half hr before your adr time

As far as park opening, since it is busy time of year....45 min to hr before park opens would be good enough I thnk

Congratulations on booking your resort! Pop is nice... you'll like it! And your dining choices look great too. :goodvibes

What time does AK close that night? I found getting to/from AK/AKL took the longest of any trip.

If the park closes at 5 I would you will be fine for your ADR. Will probably take 25 minutes to get to GF from AK and you may have to wait for a bus (or 2). If the park closes later than 5 then you will probably want to leave a little before park closing leaving about an hour before your ADR.

The park closes at 6 that night. So leaving between 5 and 5:30 would probably be best, hey?

Only 2 more days until Dillon and I are married!! Hard to believe.

So today I picked up some Valentines candy and made some favor boxes and bags to have for places at the dinner. Also, the other day I made our centerpieces for the tables. I just picked up some fake flowers at Michael's and kind of threw them together. I am not the most creative person when I feel rushed. I think they look ok, but they could be better. I also picked up or vase for our sand ceremony today as well. :)

I just arranged our times and places for our pictures for the day, and booked an appointment for my best friend and I to get our nails and toes done on Friday evening. I am starting to get really excited!

Here are some photos of what I have been doing. :)

Yeah it probably would be! We had pretty good luck during our trip for travels EXCEPT for getting to/from the AKL! We won't be going back to the Lodge in October because of it... such a headache...

Your flowers and candy look really nice! The day is getting so close!! The ceremony is on Friday or Saturday?

Flowers and centerpieces look great!!

How are you doing your hair? Do you have a veil?

I am a curious person, sorry

I haven't completely decided how to do my hair. I think it is going to be mostly up. I think it looks better that way with the dress I got.

No veil. My best friend may be lending me her tiara, but we will see how it looks before I decide to use that. I have a head band and a few things to experiment with. :)
