Yippeeee!! we are so excited to be taking our first Disney cruise. Anyone else? Maybe we'll have the ship to ourselves!!!:rotfl: Oh well that's more chocolate chip cookies and Konk Koolers for me!!! No, really, we would like a few others to enjoy this trip with...anyone going??

I am in the process of planning to book this cruise. 2009 will be my 10 year anniversary with my DW. Also, celebrating DW B-day (May 1) :bday: .

But, first I have to convince my in-laws to come kid sit our 2 DS. :scared:
Maybe the will have the Christmas spirit and agree. :santa:

This will be our 2nd DCL trip. We did a 4 day Double Dip in June (2008).
:beach:

I will let you know how it goes.
Wish me luck. pixiedust:

... also my first post on DISboards ever!

I am very excited to have found this board. I did a search on Disney Cruise excursions, got linked into a Trip Report, and the last 3 hours were history. Full of excitement, pictures, and tips -- I love it!

We are doing the 4 night cruise/3 night land but in reverse order. I didn't like the Thursday-Thursday schedule so we are flying into Orlando Saturday, cruising Sun-Thurs, WDW Contemporary Thurs-Sun. Booked the land portion through AAA to get a bit of a discount.

Our group is: Husband (34), Wife (35), Son (10), Daughter (7 turning 8 on May 15 so she can upgrade to the 8-9 year old activities), Daughter (5).

We're coming from Chicago-land and can't wait with the feet of snow and sub-zero temperatures we've been enjoying here recently.

I'll bookmark this page and keep checking in.

Wow, I'm so glad I finally got some responses. I thought we were all alone on this cruise! Unfortunately, I can't stay here because we changed our plans and booked a 3 night cruise and added 2 days in the park. When they offered kids free on a 3 night cruise we did the math and we got 2 rooms at POFQ for 2 nights and the necessary ground transports and still paid less then the 4 night cruise total!! We just couldn't pass up that deal. Especially since my niece and nephew have never been to the World. So, I hope you all have a wonderful cruise!

Hello every one, just got our reservation for our 2009 cruise, this is going to be our 4 cruise, My DW, DD(7), and DD(6).

Hope to meet some DIS'ers on our trip.

Jose

Just a heads up. The itinerary for our cruise has changed due to a family getting a "special private time" at Castaway Cay. New schedule is Nassau, Sea Day, Castaway Cay. Just got word from my Dreams agent.

Thanks for the head up bevgray, I will have to check on my reservations for Palo and the spa since they were on the Sea day which originally was on the 4rd day.

My Husband and I will be on this cruise, I just booked it a couple days ago. We have been on two three-night cruises on the Wonder but this is our first four night. Does anyone know that since the schedule has changed, where the boat will sail on the sea day?

Can't wait for the cruise!! :cool1:

Hi you guys - we'll be with you too. There are 9 of us girls from Texas (My 2 cousins and I are taking our aunts). I think they just sail around in circles on sea day:confused3

This is my 8th disney cruise - we are addicted;)

Hi everyone!:wave2: We just booked this cruise last week and we are so excited!! This is our 2nd cruise on the Wonder. Last time we cruised with our 3 year old daughter. She is now 7 and we also have a son who just turned 1. It will be interesting to see how it goes with a little one. Last time we could not get my daughter out of the kids club but I really hope she wants to hang out with us more this time!!

We did alot of excursions last time but this time I am not planning to get off the ship in Nassau. This will be my 4th time to Nassau and I would rather enjoy the ship since I did not really have a chance to explore last time with our busy schedule.

After we get off the ship we are headed to WDW for 5 nights at the CBR. So exciting!!:cool1:

I hope to meet some DIS'ers this trip too!

Jennifer

Can't wait!! This will be our 5th Disney Cruise for me (36), my wife (33) and my oldest son (9) but since the last time we cruised we have added 4 more children. 3 more boys 5,3, and 6 months, and also our little princess 2 (May 3rd is her birthday!). I can't wait to see the looks on the kids faces, we took our oldest when he was 2, and he loved it even then. We're also taking my MIL and SIL. So if you see 2 parents trying to wrangle 5 kids on the ship, it's probably us.

Looking forward to having a great time!

Hi all,

This is my first time on the boards. My husband and I booked our first cruise leaving on May 3rd:woohoo: . We will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary:lovestruc . Anybody else cruising at that time too???

This is our first cruise of any sort. My DH has been resistant to the idea but it was my only ask for my BD. We're traveling with our 9 year old DD and are looking forward to it. We're celebating our 20th anniversary on the cruise. Yeah:love: Just thinking about warm weather and warm water is making all the snow outside my window disappear. BTW, we're from Edmonton Alberta.

:dance3:

First time on DCL, did RCCL last year with the kids to alaska and the grandparents, whole gang Aunts, Uncles too, Maybe too big of a group. Had an ok time kids did not like the kids club hoping disney will be a different story. There are 4 of us DH, DS-5, DD-3. Still trying to get Palo for Brunch.

Congratulations on celebrating your 25th wedding anniversary. :lovestruc

Hello everyone - this is my 1st post on these boards. I have no idea what I'm doing (I'm a Yahoo Group gal and these other boards always confuse me). :confused3 My DH and I will be sailing on the Wonder on May 3. We will be staying at Old Key West for 4 days before the cruise. Been to Disney many many times. Spent our honeymoon there in 1981 and our 25th Anniversary a few years ago. We've been on one cruise before way back in 1991 when Disney did their cruises with Premier Lines. Weren't able to get booked for a Palo brunch but we do have massages scheduled the afternoon of Nassau day. Two questions:
(1) Does anyone know if you have to pre-reserve bikes, etc. on Castaway Cay or are they pretty much available spur of the moment?
(2) Do men need to wear a jacket for the dress-up dinner night or is a nice dress shirt & tie and nice slacks okay?

Looking forward to a fun and relaxing time!
