We've just return for the most insane trip of our lives, happily married, but completely exhusted. Not one thing went according to plan. It started w/ our flight being cancelled and a 2 day road trip w/ 9 people in my grandparents motorhome. Once we finally arrived and checked into our room we were disappointed in having 2 dbl beds instead of the king we had asked for and when I went to the desk at POFQ to ask about it I was told "I'm sorry we had a hurricane", so I figured the hotel was full so I didn't say anything else. When we checked out the bellman told us the hotel was at less than 40% occupancy and there had been king rooms available. I had a hard time reaching my wedding coordinator apparently the paging system was down and I also couldn't reach Stephanie in the photo dept to get the info for my Honeymoon photo session. On our wedding day I went to the front desk to let them know I was having flowers delivered to the room and to ask for the second time to have my name put on the room b/c they were telling people I was not a guest there. And I also requested that they give our room number to anyone who call or came to the desk looking for us b/c guests were arriving that we had not spoken w/ since we had arrived. Three people were told I was not a guest there and my flowers were lost for three hours by front desk personel. Irene and Lily did the hair and make up, they were wonderful! It rain before the wedding, but it cleared up to have our ceremony outside at Sunset Point. Randy Chapman did our photography and he was wonderful! Stan did the video, we really didn't even notice that he was there. Everything was confusing and no one was sure where they were supposed to be. My husbands neice and nephew were in the wedding, they were late showing up and he was wearing a blue suit w/ a gold shirt and tie that matched his dad instead of the black suit and white shirt and red tie that matched everyone else, she had the right dress b/c after her mother bought her something else I went out and bought her the dress I had picked and brought it w/ me so she matched. The ringbearer had a meltdown and wouldn't walk down the aisle so my brother pushed him in a stroller. My father and I made the long walk down the aisle w/o any problems and when I reached my FH he gasped my hand in a death grip. As Rev Tim began to speak we were really so lost in eachother that at first we didn't notice that he was not doing our ceremony. The rings got stuck in the ring box. We said our I DO's and got most of the pictures done before it downpoured. The champaign and cake reception had been set up inside, but none of the decorations we bought were out and our cake topper was not on the cake so we had to change all that while the guests stood around and waited. After that we went to 1900 Fare for our dinner and were told they did not have our reservation that it had been made at Narcossi instead ( this was a mistake I had brought to their attention a month before and was told had been corrected) It took 20 min to get a table for us and when we entered the restaurant it was less than half full. Dinner was nice and the mice were great they gave us lots of attention. I was surprised that it was more adults asking if I was a princess, kids knew I was a bride. They changed the time of the fireworks so Randy had to stay an extra hour to get those pictures. The next morning we still hadn't heard from Stephnie and left for our session before we knew where to meet the photographer, but after waiting 30 mins for a bus to MK we were late for our session, but my mother had finally reached Stephanie and we found out were to go but the photographer was not there. We waited about 10 mins for him to show up. At first he said we couldn't get pictures w/ the character but after a few complaints he said we could get them in toon town. http://albums.proshots.com/disney

Not one thing went as planned, but we are married and couldn't be happier. Now that it's all over my only regret is that I spent so much time planning and worrying and being stressed b/c none of it mattered. So my best advise is don't stress anything.

Congratulations on your wedding!!

Sorry to hear nothing went right, but like you say you are married and happy now!

LUVTGR - Congratulations to you and your husband!
Even though some of your plans went wrong you still sound like you kept your cool and are very happy which is the most important thing - if anything goes wrong with my wedding I hope I deal with it like you have done - don't think many people would've coped as well as you did...congratulations again!:D

Congrats, it's amazing how nothing goes as planned but it still turns out wonderful. Your pictures are great!

Congrats! Its funny how with all the stressing and plannning, everything that can go wrong on a wedding day, will, and, in the end the only thing that matters is that you got married! Congratulations to you and your new husband. Your photos are adorable!

Congrats on your wedding...don't even get me started on two double beds when promised a king. I had the same problem, only I had to wait an extra 2-3 hours AFTER check in to get into my room. I can sympathize! Your pictures are great though! Do you have any at Sunset Pointe???

Megan

Congratulations to you and your husband. I am sorry you had so many problems. I am so glad you were able to take it in stride and make your wedding day wonderful.

Your pictures are great!!

Megan, Randy Chapman did the wedding photos so as soon as I get them I will post them. Even though I haven't seen his pictures yet I can't say enough about how wonderful Randy was.
Thanks to everyone for the kind words.

Many Congratulations - I was thinking of you. Your photos are wonderful can't wait to see Randy's :Pinkbounc

Thanks Sam. I can't wait to see Randy's either. My DH practically has to grag me to keep me from calling Randy daily to find out when we will get them!

Luvtgr your pics are beautiful! I love your dress. And the baby in the tigger suit was precious. I looked as if you had 1900 Park Fare all to yourself. Thanks so much for sharing your pics.

I totally hear you on the king size bed deal. We were suppossed to be staying at POFQ for three nights on a post stay after we got married on DCL. We had called and requested a king size bed 3 months in advance and also right before we left for our trip. Well we ended up getting stuck at sea for 2 of our post stay nights due to the hurricane. We went to check in to POFQ and there was only one person in line in front of us. I have really good intuition and told my new hubby watch this person take our room......well it wasnt really ours but get this. This lady is on her honeymoon and walks up to the counter and tells the Disney rep she just saw her room and would like to have a king size bed. The lady then tells her that they have one more left because the person who is suppossed to be staying in it has not checked in for the past 2 days so she gave our room away right in front of us. Of course she didnt know and we shouldnt have been eaves dropping but in all fairness to us it was really quiet in there and we just had that feeling. My new hubby was not impressed in fact the rest of the trip was kindda a let down because of the hurricane. It wasnt Disneys fault though of course I guess you cant have everything though. I really wasnt too impressed with POFQ myself although I was at AKL before POFQ and on DCL being pampered.

LUVTGR your pics are lovely and your wedding dress is absolutely gorgeous!

Congratulations to you and your hubby! :)
