We checked in to VB on Monday, October 27th. Check in was fast. The CM at the desk could have been a little bit more friendly.

DH needed to check something on the computer that they have set up in an area just off the lobby so he turned it on and asked for the password as there was a screen asking for a log on name and password. The CM that checked us in came out and started yelling at him and telling him that he was not allowed to access that screen. She said no, no, no, no-at least 10 times. What a twit! She then typed in the password and told him he needed to have his own account with MSN or AOL to access the internet. We have neither. I think the resort could do a lot better than this. I don't think they should have gotten rid of the business center, IMHO. Anyway, he was able to access the internet and check what he needed to check-which was very important.

They were working on quite a few areas of VB-part of the front entrance was blocked off. They were also working on bathrooms near Shutters. They are also converting rooms that were the business center to guest rooms-at least that is what it looked like to us. They were working on several guest rooms throughout the resort.

We were in 2321-3rd floor, ocean view, non-smoking. They were working on 2323 during our stay but only from 9am-5pm. We were told that they were converting some rooms to handicap rooms. So take note if you need this type of room at Vero-it should be in brand new condition.

We had a blast at Vero-we lived in the pool and on the beach. We were always able to find chairs. We love this time of year at Vero as it is not very crowded.

We went down the slide about a 1,000 times and my DS finished learning how to swim.:D

They have a drink refill station now next to Shutters which makes it very convenient to refill your mug if you buy one.

We ate at Shutters a few times and Sonya's for the Seafood Buffet-all meals were excellent, as usual.

The condition of our room was excellent. I paid for daily housekeeping-a must for us at VB. We had towel animals every day and the housekeeper refused to except a tip.

We viewed Mars one night by telescope on the Boardwalk and saw 3 meteors shoot throught the sky!

The Halloween activities were great. They had several activities throughout the day-a children's costume contest in the afternoon, a pumpkin carving contest, a CM costume contest.

We trick or treated around the resort from 5-7 and they filled the kid's bags with all kinds of goodies. There was a Halloween Party on the pool deck from 7-10 and it was FUN. A DJ supplied the music and the resort had donuts and cider and was selling caramel apples, cotton candy and other treats at Bleachers.

We were a bit worried early in the week after being told 28 groups of teenagers were checking into the resort for the high school swim and diving finals taking place near VB. They were the most well behaved group of kids I have ever seen and often said hi to my children and made the Halloween Party a lot of fun.

The only thing I had a hard time with is when a 16 or 17 year old asked me "What time is it Maam?" :teeth: Boy, I felt old:crazy:

Any questions, ask away.

Completely Unacceptable.

Captain Midnight,

She walked back in the office-telling him that he had "absolutely no permission to access that page, you need AOL or MSN and you're on your own from here"

The computer automatically turned on to that screen when it was turned on. She obviously had no idea what she was talking about.

Comcast is offering high speed internet in the area now so I think the resort could have at least one computer with high speed internet on it. Like everyone who comes to the resort has MSN or AOL. Plus, once you get on the internet at VB-it is SLOW!

Is the seafood buffet every night? How much is it and what kinds of seafood do they have? Thanks alot!

Right now, it is on Thursday and Sunday evenings. I think this had been different in the past.

I think we paid around $28.99 for my DH.

He LOVES it!

He had seafood lasagna, crab legs, pasta salad with shrimp in it-that he said were really good, peal and eat shrimp.

They had so many things that I can't remember. I had the prime rib off the menu and it was perfect.

Sounds like she has absolutely no business being in the position she's in as a CM. This unacceptable conduct needs to be reported IMHO.

Sounds like you had a wonderful trip. We were there the week before you (checked out on the 26th) and had the most fabulous, relaxing time. It was our first trip "home" and we absolutely fell in love with Vero. We didn't even leave the resort once!

I'll second the seafood buffet at Sonya's. The seafood lasagna is outstanding (and I'm not even a lasagna lover!).

I was actually surprised at the number of families there (thought there would be more "child-free" couples like us). Not that it bothered us at all. We event went to play Bingo with all the kids one rainy afternoon and the kids kept asking us, "Why aren't your kids with you?" They just couldn't grasp the concept that we were married and didn't have kids! It was so cute!

We can't wait to go back!!!

Forgot to mention,

Goofy and Max were brought out to the pool area 3 times while we were at the resort.

I believe it was Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Way to go Disney. Everyone loved this. They were taking pictures and everyone was excited. I thought this was a nice perk. :D

Well, the VB part of your trip sounds fun! Gald you had a nice time there.

Glad you had a good time at VB!!
