Hi

We are back now. We left last night at 10:00pm. This was my first camping trip. I loved it. The kids loved it. I loved the fact we could really spend time to together. Now I cant wait to buy our own tent. We want to go away to in August camping for DLP.

We went to Newquay for 4 nights. We stayed at Hendra Holiday park and the park was really nice. The traffic was awful around Newquay town centre as many people went to Newquay for Race to the sun. Although that saying was far wrong. It was really windy, but at least it stayed dry other than times we were driving. We were lucky with the rain, but wished it was warmer. The holiday camp was lovely and clean. The toilets were well kept. The grounds were really nice. I would definately recommend this place.

We went to Crealeys Cornwall I wouldnt really recommend this other than the kids would love it and at least you would be able to attend the park for 10 days after the first entry. Otherwise it would be far too expensive for one day. Padstow was lovely and we didnt really have much time to stop. We were about to tour the Bodmin moors, but my lo was sick and kept being sick for a about 2 hoursl. We had to keep stopping to get help him out. Once we were at the tent he stopped being sick and was much better. How odd :confused3

It was a great trip and cant wait to go back.

I like camping aswell, we just dont do it :confused3

I thought about you during Run To The Sun, its always the busiest weekend in Newquay but great fun. there is also a lot to do around there. Crealys is also good but always a let down after WDW!

I'm pleased that you had such a good time. We've been caravaners for 18 years (although we haven't used it this year) and we love it. I hope the weather was nice for you :)

Sounds as though you had a wonderful trip :goodvibes

Sounds like you had a great time, Michelle. We really liked Newquay when we visited, I am looking forward to going again.

Hi

I know what you mean Carol after being at WDW everything here seems a let down. Hence why I wont pay astortonate prices here in the UK. At least they try and if everything was like WDW not many people would go. The kids loved it there and thats the main reason. We wanted to see so many places, but ran out of time. Fistral Beach was hosting British Surfing Championships which was great.

We had a fab time. Cant wait till our next camping trip. Once you have all your equipment you can go away for cheap. We paid £71 for 4 nights over bank holiday and we will be paying £120 for 4 nights at a camp site that is 10km away from DLP. I am so shocked how cheap it is.
