We're back...Family Trip, Cake "Tasting", and Engagement Pics with The Man! :)

I LOVE all your pictures! Df's mother is the same way your SM is! Always has to be in charge even if she doesn't know what she's doing  so I feel your pain!!

I can't wait to see your engagement pictures!

We did our cake tasting in January, and we chose the raspberry mousse with the almond cake for 2 layers. It's SOOOOOOO good!! Our other layer (if you like chocolate, you'll love this) is going to be chocolate cake with peanut butter cup mousse (which is a mixture of peanut butter and dark chocolate.) I can't wait to eat it

Left out fun details!

Friday night, we went to Hoop Dee Doo Revue. My DF has been talking about this show for the longest time, but we hadn't been yet. He had always said it would be a fun place to go for our "Reception". I was a little - no a lot - skeptical, just wasn't sure at all about it. We went to the 9:30 show, and it was fantastic. It was fun, every time during the rest of the trip if I said the name of the show, I broke out into song. DF enjoyed laughing at me each time.
Anyways, so we've decided that's what we want to do after the wedding for a few reasons. 1) We like the show, and hmmm those ribs! :) 2) We wouldn't have to be responsible for entertaining our families...some of them tend to drive us crazy. 3) It is definitely NOT your typical post wedding event.

Things I have to remember for this meal, however...wet wipes for my DS, and a white trash bag (or maybe just a poncho) to put over my dress during the eating of above mentioned ribs! Maggie, they're actually better IMO than WCC! I am unbelievably clumsy, and it never fails on a nice meal, I make a mess. DF thinks I should not eat with my gown on, but where's the fun in that!

Here's a pic of my son after eating an entire rack of ribs...he's only 5! Boy has an appetite for sure.

Yikes sorry about your family mishap. Hope that doesnt happen on your wedding trip. Was the rasberry good? I wish I had tried it-- we had strawberry and it was amazing!

Cant wait to hear all about randy and see your engagement photos!

Thanks so much for reading Maggie! The raspberry was OK. IF this makes any sense at all, it was too much raspberry. It over powered the chocolate in the cake. I really want to try the strawberry mousse...maybe if I tell DF, "Maggie has strawberry and she really liked it," he'll go for that! :thumbsup2
It's so sad, I really have no friends outside of work and our crazy neighbors, but DF knows who all my disboards "friends" by name!

I can't wait to see our engagement pictures either.

I've heard of the peanut butter mousse before, can I get that if I am doing an Intimate...oh duh, Lisa, it's Disney of course you can...for a price! :)

Yeah, my SM is a trip. I should probably cut her some slack, we all teased her during the trip for various things, and she took it well! I'm VERY nervous to see how the wedding trip goes with my mom, my SM and my DF's Mom. :scared1:
I am starting to think more and more each day...Why am I doing this? Why did Travis, Logan and I not go alone and do the wedding? Anyways, it'll be memorable I know, just hope it is fun and memorable!:rolleyes1

Breakfast at Chef Mickey's at 8:30 and Engagement Pics with Randy at 11.

I hadn't eaten at Chef Mickey's before, and I was totally stressed about not meeting Randy in time. DF and I got ready for our pictures, but knowing me and DS, we decided to throw on some different clothes for breakfast and go change before Randy got to WL. Of course there were no mishaps, but I know had I worn my White shirt and Khaki shorts to breakfast, DS for sure would have gotten Ketchup or syrup on me.

Anyways, breakfast was good. Highly recommended meal for those with kids or anyone else interested in having a breakfast with character! DS was amazed that the monorail went right passed our table.

Took the boat back to WL, got back with about an hour to spare before Randy got there. Changed clothes, touch-up hair and makeup, brush teeth again.
As you may have read in the beginning of this TR, I was supposed to have someone do my hair and makeup this morning as a sort of run through for the wedding, well she did not return any of my emails confirming, and none of the phone numbers I called worked. Was not feeling too magical :rolleyes1 about that at all. My dad being the wonderful man he is, thought I was upset about my hair and makeup not looking good for the pictures, and was going to search all over property if I asked him to, to find someone to do my hair. I told him I was fine with the way I looked (Then I wondered should I not be okay with it?) I was just upset that she had let me down. This is how I looked...but not what I wore for the pictures. Yes, my hair is naturally curly and naturally that blonde. I really didn't want to wear my hair like that for the pictures, but oh well...I hope it turned out okay!

So we went down to the lobby, DF said how are we gonna know if it's Randy. I told it would probably be the guy with the big camera around his neck! :rotfl: Sure enough it was (I also kinda knew what he looked like from Maggie WR Thank you AGAIN Maggie!)
So we chatted and then went outside close to the pool...he had us sit on some rocks, we thought for sure the Disney police would get us, but Randy said...They probably are saying Oh it's just Randy again...
DF is shorter than I am, so there was one shot that was very funny, and I hope he got it with us cracking up laughing. He told Travis to kiss me on the forehead, so I kinda bent down. Then when he realized we were laughing about that so much, he found a rock that was the perfect height, and told Travis to stand on it and then kiss me on the forehead. Very funny. The picture will probably be horrible cause we're laughing, but still very memorable. We took a lot of pictures at WL...asked Randy if we could go over to the Villas side to take some on the rocking chairs they have over there...he didn't even realize the Villas side was over there. So we did that, and then went for a ride in his Sweet car over to the Polynesian. We went to the beach and took a lot of (hopefully) good ones...got sand All in my Nikes  Don't wear Nikes and try to walk in sand. We hijacked a boat for a few pictures, and took some more on the pier. Had lots of people walk by and some older ladies walked (slowly) passed us as we were posed saying "Must be newlyweds" I said to Travis, nope not yet, now get out of the picture...more laughing. We got to kiss a lot for our pictures...I liked that part!:woohoo: :rolleyes1

Anyways, I'm waiting patiently for my pictures, and I will post some as soon as I can! I'm sure most of you know, but I'll just reaffirm...if you chose Randy, you will be in great hands! No Worries!

Definitely try the Strawberry-- it was delicious (DH and I cant wait to get the top layer of the cake out of the freezer!!).

Sounds like you had a great time with Randy. He made us feel so comfortable (and I agree with the kissing part-- i dont think ive ever kissed DH as much in one day as I did on our wedding day-- and 99% of it was during the photos-- most of my favorites are the kissing one's though so that worked out well!).

Those ribs looked tasty (well-- the aftermath of them on DS's hands!!). I mentioned in another TR that id never ate at HDDMR so ill definitely be heading there next trip!

Cant wait to see your photos! I was laughing imagining that time-- reminds me of the fun we had shooting! Just think-- the next time the big camera is in your face will be the big day!

The picture of your son is cute! My daughter is 6 and her favourite food is ribs and she can eat a whole rack as well. I haven't been to the Hoop De Doo in years but after seeing your pictures I think might go after my wedding or I wonder if it would be a good place to have a welcome/rehearsal dinner?

I am looking forward to seeing your engagement pictures.
