We're home again from a trip with SO many highs that I can't think what to call my trip report. :rotfl:

MAGNIFICENT highs included:
Having TWO nights of unexpected fireworks over the Park and over the Studios :confused3
Dtr having such great character interaction - filling up her autograph book with over 40 autographs collected this week.
Our fantastic room with the lake view.
Swimming at the HNY and eating at the DLH
The Mary Poppins mini-show.
High Street Musical show.:cheer2:
Tarzan - - oh WOW! :faint:
Stich Live - :rotfl2:
Dtr being first to ride BTM for 3 mornings in a row
Listening to a chap propose to his girlfriend at the table next to ours.......aaaah (she said yes, by the way!)
and oooooooooooh, just about everything.

There were a couple of downers, the total lack of control of smokers was one thing - I saw a CM very nearly burnt by 2 idiot parents in a line for a character. Some pretty disappointing crowd control at character signing was another thing. There was one point when I had to become 'Fierce Hildasmuriel' and although I don't like doing it, it really was necessary.
None of this spoilt the overall magic and we have had a truly magical time.......again.:cloud9:

Much much more of this in a trip report coming your way soon.

Glad to hear you had a great time. Looking forward to hearing more about it - especially the Mary Poppins mini show (I've never heard of this before) because I'll be going in just over 3 weeks and I love Mary Poppins. I know what you mean about the scrum around characters - I tend to avoid them altogether because our daughter is quite quiet and doesn't push her way in and then ends up disappointed.

I'll be going in just over 3 weeks and I love Mary Poppins.

It takes place in Town Square at 11.30, 12.30 and 13.30.
3 couples dressed in the style of Mary Poppins, plus 3 penguins come along, followed by Mary and Bert in a car - they all make their way to the band stand and perform a song and dance routine. It only takes about 10 minutes, but afterwards they all stay around to sign autographs, so if you want Mary P's photo and autograph that is a good opportunity.

I know what you mean about the scrum around characters - I tend to avoid them altogether because our daughter is quite quiet and doesn't push her way in and then ends up disappointed.

I was telling my daughter to be sure not to push one day when this women turned and said (in a broad Scots accent) " Oh, she'll no get anywhere if she waits her turn. You go for it, hen" It really made me smile.

Welcome back, I think Iread that they were trialing some fireworks from the Studios as they are looking to extend the opening hours of that park & to have fireworks from here in the future. I'm jealous you got to experience them. Can't wait to read about your trip:thumbsup2

We are back too, glad you had an amazing time. Actually thinking back now I think I might have seen you both. Were you one of the 1st people into the park on Tuesday and Wednesday?

Oh I'd love to have pictures with MP and Burt.:yay: I hope they still do that in June.

So dissappointing to hear about the smoking still that always makes it hard for us as I get migraines from the smoke and son can't breath around smokers. I have never found a smoker unselfish enough to give up their cancer stick even when he sits there coughing and has to leave the line.

Our next trip is without the kids so I only have to worry about my migraines.

I don't even plan to try to get character autographs as we won't have any kids with us so I feel like we'll just be pushed out of the way since we are adults. I've seen it happen many times.:sad2:

We plan to do a few character meals though so we'll get some pics and autographs that way. I may even try the princess meal though don't expect I'll find much to eat- just want to see the princesses and princes;)

Can't wait to hear the whole report! I love reading trip reports. It always makes me feel like I was there too!

Hmmmm - that depends. If we were standing nicely and smiling cheerfully then yes it was us, and in fact dtr was first one to burst through the gates on Tuesday.

If, however, we were looking grumpy, or yawning and generally looking a mess, then no it must have been someone else.:rolleyes1

Must get on with that trip report - the washing can wait.:laundy:

How were the crowds? I'm going in a week!

I found them more manageable now than when we went in February, which was a surprise to me. The worst day was Wednesday - lots of large groups of teens around the bigger thrill rides. I seem to remember reading that schools are closed on Wednesday in France. :confused3 If that is true then I would advise using a Wednesday to see shows and do some of the gentler rides.
As I usually do - I recommend making the most of EMH. If you are going to dash around at all, those 2 hours are the time to do it. My dtr had managed 10 rides by 10.45 one morning without too much effort. Then of course the last hour is another great time for walk-ons.

How funny, we were stood right next to you!! In fact I was stood with you on the band stand when you took the picture!! Look, I caught the two of you in my shot!!

Then your daughter rode Space Mountain in the car behind us and you were stood at the exit waiting for her!!

Ohmigosh, that is so funny. IASW after all. :rotfl2:

In that second photo we were singing "I'm walking right down the middle of Main St USA", as ...well that was literally what we were doing.
Sorry, we rather spoilt your photo with my fat behind in the middle of it. :flower3:

High STREET Musical, do they do that locally too?!;)

LOL I can't believe I did that! I kept calling it that all week and dtr was going mad and telling me it was High SCHOOL Musical. Now I've gone and put it on the board.
