We're All MAD here! SPAZZ hands, cupcakes, booze, and running...GSC Feb. 2015 PTR

Hey Tweedle just checking in! Have a magical Friday! In 5 more we are going to be doing 4 parks in 1 day!:banana::banana:

Ummmm Hi Karen!! On Hope's report you mentioned something about Rey. Is everything ok?? Just wondering.

Thanks! Well, it's been two weeks since my last long run, and I was scheduled to do 10.5 today, but it's not going to happen (my running buddy is sick and I'm not motivated enough to manage that long on my own ;)). The knee has felt pretty good through my maintenance runs - I can feel the soreness, but no real pain. So, hopefully the extra week between long runs will help the healing.

Hope your training is going well too! Can't believe we're only 5 weeks away :faint:

Yep, I bet the extra week will be a good thing!! :thumbsup2 I've got 4 today and 11 tomorrow! :goodvibes

I cannot believe it! 5 weeks?!?!?! :cool1:

Oh yes, it's all good stuff! He's just going to get some physical therapy for his back finally (workers comp people were not being cooperative!) and everything is looking up! :thumbsup2

I've got 4 today and 11 tomorrow! :goodvibes

How did your 4/11 go?? I've continued with the short runs this week, and all is well so far (crossing my fingers) and we're going to shoot for 11 on Friday :scared:

And I just realized that my ticker says one month - I leave for Disney in one month :cool1: :dance3: :yay: :cheer2:

YES! Thank you for asking! I'm so bad about updating. :lmao:

The 11 miler run was hard partially b/c it was 25mph winds but aside from that it was awesome! The best part was after I got done, I didn't HURT! So a successful 4/11! In fact, I was only a little sore the next day (like good-workout-sore) and then ran 4 miles yesterday and it felt effortless. :cool1:

I just have one long back-to-back left! I'll be doing 4/12 or maybe 5/12 next weekend (not this upcoming one) and then it's tapertime!! :woohoo:

Good luck with your 11!! :cheer2:

Did you just up and change your training plan? I didn't think you were going past 11?

I guess if you did 11 with no injury, it's all good though! Maybe you are past the 'distance injury' hurdle!

I'm already dreading my 4/12 this weekend. I'm hoping they release corrals before then so I have some motivation. I also hope the weather cooperates. I can't handle another track run.

Who me? Change my training plan?
:rolleyes1

Yep. I don't know what happened when I was really hurting after that 9.5 but I feel like I'm over the hurdle! The 11 made me feel WAY stronger and when I ran yesterday it was effortless and I think I'm just finally doing something right this time! Resting longer when my body says too I'm sure is a big factor.

So, since I have to start my taper 3 weeks out instead of 2, I thought I would go for 12! When I'm in Florida I'll still do one back-to-back at the 2 week out mark, but it will be shorter, 3/6 or something like that. :cool1:

I'm so excited for corrals! :woohoo:

Just popping in to say Hi since I am actually on the computer which is rare

Getting close now

23 days :cool1:

It seems I'm just not the PTR kinda gal anymore! I am so horrible at updating! Things are great though and both of our trips are closing in!

First a family pic taken a few weeks ago. The lovely lady on the far right is my step-daughter, Eli. She finally came out for a visit so we had to get a family shot and they all cooperated! I was overjoyed, there is usually someone not in the mood for a photo. I have NO IDEA WHY my children wouldn't like their pics taken after having me follow them around with a camera all these years!

So what's first? I guess the closest trip! We are headed to Florida for Playlist Live in NINE DAYS!!! Single digits!!! :cool1: I am so excited for a VACATION from the craziness. This is great because since it's not an actual "Disney trip" (even though we're going to MK), I feel like I can relax more. I'm sure most of you get it when I say that Disney trips don't always end up feeling like a relaxing vacation. ;)

Planning for Playlist has been stressful. I'm not sure I want to rehash all the drama, but I will try. So in past years you just go to the Playlist convention and stand in lines to meet whatever youtube creator you want. This caused MAJOR issues last year (ahem...b/c they are selling too many tickets imo) so this year they decided to have you pick just one person for each day and set up a reservation. I knew from the get-go this would turn out bad. Too many people wanting to meet too few people. We were on the computer and ready to make our picks when the choices went live and the site crashed as we had them in our cart. Naturally when the site came back up, Tyler Oakley (their first choice) was gone. He was sold out in a minute. :sad2:

Their second, third, even fourth choices were gone at this point and it was a day of messing with the system, trying to pick single meetups for the girls that they would settle for...eventually we just gave up. I contacted Playlist and they did work with me. They put the girls into one of their top choices (Zoella, a British youtuber) but wouldn't budge on Tyler. I figured this, but I had to at least try. So, they just picked some people they knew of (but could care less for their 2nd choice). I know this is hard to follow if you have no idea what I'm talking about. In the end, they are still determined to meet who they want to meet and many of the youtubers (including Tyler) have unscheduled meetups where they will tweet and people just show up. Tyler did this last year, so the girls have their tshirts and gifts made and will just have to hope it will happen. I'm bummed for Savannah though as this was THE ENTIRE reason for Playlist for her. She just wanted to meet Tyler.

This is the shirt they all have to wear and they made one for Tyler as well. It's Tyler and Ed...if you don't know who Ed is by this point, you may not have been following along. :rotfl2:

Anywho!...I'm looking forward to a day in Magic Kingdom (WOOT!), running with an instagram friend, laying by the pool and a day at Universal! It's a way less planned out trip than I'm used to, but that's refreshing! Oh and once we leave Marriott, we're headed to Hardrock Hotel at UO for our last 2 nights! It looks fabulous!!

Geez, I should update more often so I don't have to write a book when I do.

My official Disney trip for the Glass Slipper Challenge is in 23 days!! :cool1:

I can't believe I'm going to come home and then repack and head back out 9 days later. It's going to be insane! Training has gone REALLY well for me this year, unlike last year! I've gotten in all my long runs, my last being 12 miles last Saturday. I need a medium-sized run (probably 8 or 9 while I'm in Florida for Playlist but other than that, just maintenance and taper time here!)

My costumes are all ready as well! It's still a bit out but since I have the other trip, I'm not sure I'll have time for another big update, so I'll post previews of my costumes now too!

For the 10K, I'm TweedleDee with my most favorite TweedleDum partner! I'm seriously so excited for this race, we just plan to get as many pics as possible and have a blast messing around. Since it's the shorter of the two races, we want to take it slow and just enjoy since we don't want to kill ourselves the day before a half!

IMG_20141230_132645.jpg

For the half I'm doing Alice. She's the Princess of Wonderland, that counts, right? ;) I could care less b/c I LOVE my costume for this run as well. I'm really hoping for a pic with the White Rabbit this year, I missed him last year (and it was a really short line!) because I was in such pain each time I stopped, I had to just run past him. Not this year!

IMG_20141230_132412.jpg

That's about it! Well, it's not, I could ramble on about a number of things but I'm worn out after all that! ;)

Love both of your outfits! :goodvibes I can hardly believe your trips are so close! I'm selfishly counting down the days because I figure when you're finished training you may actually have time to get together at some point. I mean, I haven't even been able to complain to you about clients who refuse to make ADR choices and then expect CRT when they're 100 days out (only a slight exaggeration)...

Kya filled me in on the Playlist disappointment. She says Savannah is convinced she'll meet Tyler at the hotel- Kya told her to pull a chair up outside his room because he has to come out SOME time. :lmao:

I've honestly been wracking my brain trying to think of things you MUST know before your trip to UO but I can't think of anything. You'll have unlimited Express and are starting out in WWoHP so you should be fine as far as lines go. I'm going to look up which park has early entry for you guys and maybe make a short list of things in the WWoHP that don't take Express that you might want to try first (or last because it thins out again in the evening).

The only real tip I have is to go through the lines for the coasters even if you don't want to ride them because there are gems along the way. Hagrid's hut, the Weasely's car, banners for the Tri-Wizard Cup, etc. There's also a great photo op in the Dragon Challenge line with Hogwarts in the background- it's the one in my profile pic).

Also, look in the shop windows in the Wizarding World, they have some gems and the dress Emma Watson actually wore to the Winter Ball is in one of them. And when you go into Three Broomsticks, look up! There are some fun shadows at play in the rafters. And go into the bathrooms even if you don't need to. You never know who might be hanging out in there.

Oh, and all of our favorites have screens so that's no help to you but I know Savannah will love Spiderman- its our absolute favorite and we're not even as big of fans as she is! Bilge Rat Barges is another fave but it's a water ride so not sure it's a good idea. You'll get MUCH more wet than you will on ANY water ride at WDW! :scared1: Heck, you'll even get wet on the Flying Fish (Dumbo type ride in Seuss Landing) because, much like the camels on the magic carpets, the fish spit- but they spit a lot more and are much harder to avoid! The High in the Sky Trolley that loops around Seuss Landing is up high and has some good photo ops but be ready because it's waaaay faster than the people mover. (Part of the reason Jace declared UO to be WDW on crack). :rotfl2: Cat in the Hat is Pooh on crack. (Or Pooh is Cat on pot, another gem from Jace.)

And I know you love PP. There's really nothing like it at UO but ET comes closest. There are parts of ET I could've done without (going to his planet, ugh) but the part where the "bikes" fly over the city and the moon is in the background was fun and the most PPish. And as a child of the 80s that part also kind of made my heart flutter. :cloud9:

Okay, that's lots of tips actually! Honestly, none of these are things I'd consider "must dos" for you especially since you'll be returning to WDW in just a few days. But I felt like a bad friend for not giving you ANY info. :rolleyes1

I can hardly wait to see your pics from Diagon Alley, Kings Cross Station, and the Hogwarts Express! :cheer2::wizard:

ETA: I came back and made it bigger and added color because it was too hard to read all that in the default font! :crazy2:

Can you imagine how often we'll see each other when I train for a FULL?!?!?

Kya filled me in on the Playlist disappointment. She says Savannah is convinced she'll meet Tyler at the hotel- Kya told her to pull a chair up outside his room because he has to come out SOME time. :lmao:

LOL! Well, she did say she was going to plant herself in the lobby...she'll never find his room. ;) To complicate matters more, he doesn't like when people stalk him, that's why he does impromptu meetups, so she doesn't want to actually bother him. :rolleyes1 I really hope he has a meetup!

The loose plan is The Studios first, mostly b/c it's closer to Hardrock and also it just seems right in my head to do Diagon Alley first??? :confused3 I didn't realize only one park opened early. this is why I should be planning this day, but I just CAN'T!!! :sad2:

Slightly concerned about what photos I'll be able to get with their limitation about cameras on rides??? This is making me even less interested in planning if I cannot photograph the way I want to.

We'll be SURE to go in the bathrooms! ;)

Blah, I don't wanna get wet! I'm sure since we're doing whatever AFTER the HP stuff that I'll try most of it, even if the screens make me sick.

I always forget the sizing, but color definitely helps!! :thumbsup2 I guess I will HAVE TO see you on Thursday since you have to bring your kid over here! :lmao:

Sorry to hear about play list drama. Hope savannah gets to meet Tyler :thumbsup2

Great family picture :)

OMG. Could your outfits be any cuter!!!!! They are so adorable :goodvibes:goodvibes

So close, so close, so close!!!:banana::banana:

And you have a trip in between it being so close. So it's double close for you. I'm so excited for your trips. They will be awesome. One with your girly girl. And one with me. Which, by default, makes it awesome. or drunk. or awesomedrunk.

The Universal hotels are so nice. We stay at the cheapest of the three- which is the Royal Pacific & it's gorgeous. I'm sure Hard Rock will be even more so!

They are SO close to the parks & CityWalk. And the Express Pass is awesome sauce. Yes, I did just say awesome sauce. Because today I feel like being 12.

Hope gave you lots of good points. If you do get a chance to see it, the Beetlejuice Revue is always an under rated fave of ours. I also love the ET ride- being a child of the 80's. I miss Jaws (I'm sure you can guess why!).

Forbidden Journey is straight out AMAZING. I think it's my favorite ride ANYWHERE in the entire world. I  it!

Enjoy it girl! And then write awesome trip reports.

The Peewee Playhouse Word of the Day is AWESOME in case you didn't figure it out yet.

Oh, yes, Nicole I forgot to tell her about Beetlejuice! It's such a fun show and so different from what you see at Disney which is awesome (ahhhhhhhh!!!)

I'm so freaking excited! Yesterday I got a the PANG though...you know, the one when you realize it will all be over soon. I'm going to be in a serious funk and you'll be jetsetting off to Hawaii to swim with more sharks. ;)

I looked at some pics and I'm impressed! I have never been able to find it in the budget to get my **** over to UO when in Orlando, so I'm forever grateful for my friend for flipping the bill on this. She's already told me I'm going to have to buy her a margarita...just more TRAINING for our weekend! :thumbsup2

Ohyes, awesomesauce. I feel like being 12 every day, so awesomesauce should be our tweedle word of the day. All I get here is eye rolling and to never speak such things. :p

OMG, trip reportSSSSS?? WHEN am I ever going to do the first trip report? I won't have time before our trip. We are going to have to do one of those two-person trip reports. We'll post in different colors but on the same thread. Oh look at me just telling you what you are going to do. Bossytweedle! :rolleyes2
