We're 4th of July losers!

In the past we have always hosted or had somewhere to go on the 4th of July. This year we have no where to go and the 4 of us will be alone. Of course my teen boys and DH don't care. It's just me.

DH's work schedule has changed and we haven't had much socializing this year. Our neighborhood has a bunch of older folks and they don't really celebrate.

We could have gone boating with DH coworker, but we went on the boat today and didn't feel like going again tomorrow so they decided to stay home

We're losers!

Anyone else want to join the club? Lie to me, make me feel better

30 yrs ago on the 4th of July, I marched in a parade that was a quarter mile long.

I met my future husband that day at age 14. He lived in this small town. I've been to this parade every year now for the last 30 years.

All my children have been in this parade, but my dd has this year and next year to march with the h.s. band. I told my husband after next year, I will never go to that parade ever again. Time to do something else. I cringe when I think of going.

Can I join your loser club?? I have nothing planned for tomorrow.. My kids are at their dads till Thursday .. I normally look forward to going and seeing fireworks at Ameriquest (Tx Rangers Stadium).. but this year I just want to lay low.. I plan on unpacking since we moved about 1 1/2 months ago and I still have boxes up the whazoo..

I like mine well done.. Not burned but no pink in the middle.. Put one slice of cheese on it.. a little mayo and some mater.. and let me know what time to be there.. WDW does sound awfully inticing..

I been totally bored since Friday. I can't wait for the 4th of July and the surrounding four-day weekend to be history! This has dragged on and on, it seemed! Nothing is open or everything closed very early - I had a hard time finding an open gas station today. The town is empty and we are all bored and there is nowhere to go and nothing to do. I am probably the only person who depises the 4th of July holiday! At least I get back to work on Wednesday!
