wow!
The museum is in the Presdio in San Francisco (which is no longer part of the military). They've converted an old barracks building - one 2nd floor window has a breath-taking view of the Golden Gate Bridge.
They start with Walt's early days, his stint as an ambulance driver in France. His first job in animation, his early days in Hollywood.....his innovations in animation. amazing!
There was a mock-up of Disneyland & my son asked the docent what year it was modeled after and he was told it was not a particular year - it was Walt's vision. It was fun seeing a model of the Disneyland I knew growing up.
Their gift shop had some unusal stuff. You didn't think you were in the World of Disney Store.
I'd say that it's a "must see" when visiting San Francisco, especially Disney fans.
