They are closing their doors tomorrow and I will really miss them. It was fun to be able to pop in and take some classes or buy some of the latest items that the box stores don't get. This is the store in Grafton and the one in Hyannis is also closing tomorrow. So very sad for both.

But I did get some good deals...everything was 60% off...

Always sad when another one bites the dust. I try to support the ones I come across, but honestly, I could scrap for a year or two without buying anything but adhesive.

Along that train of thought . . .
After seeing one on another site, I started Jonesing for a Teresa Collins travel journal. Of COURSE they're out of stock everywhere. But, it sure did look familiar. Maybe I bought some of the paper and could wing it? I started going through boxes and pulling out every travel related sheet - ending up with a stack 3/4 inch high. Finally - what's this? In a tote bag of kits, there it was! The whole Teresa Collins travel journal kit still in it's packet. Bought at LAST year's CKC Manchester. WOO HOO!

it is sad when the LSS close up....I have one a few miles away I get more special stuff from, she does have a great weekly card for $1.00 so will go make some of them, haven't done any of her classes yet, but might hit some of them this year when Megan goes back to school.

It is sad when a good scrapbook store, with great classes and customer service, closes its doors. I just hate to see that.

However, there were a few scrapbook stores that closed around here and I didn't shed a tear...I don't think the owner really knew how to run a business or a scrapbook store that offered a range of items, kept up with the trends and EDUCATED THEIR CLIENTELE about the new stuff, and offered little to no customer service, not even a hello when you walked in to shop. One of the reasons why Archiver's is so successful is that they are constantly showing their customers how to use all the new products. You know, it is a "big box store" but they manage to still be exciting.

I was in at the one in Hyannis on Saturday. They still had a lot of paper and stickers. The owner was so upbeat and friendly. Something we didn't often see with other staff there.
