Went to Biergarten yesterday

I didn't even know they were open. It is, by far, our favorite restaurant but since they seat so many parties at the long tables and it's a buffet I couldn't see how it would work. We just walked up, at 5pm, and were seated right away. Since most of the countries don't have their staff, it was staffed by other CMs from various other restaurants in the world that are not yet re-opened. We were seated at a table, all by ourselves (party of two). We felt like Sultans, lol. Our server was fantastic (every CM we encountered yesterday was terrific!) and wearing a mask and face shield. It is all served family style. Virtually everything that was on the buffet was brought to our table.

We started with a basket of warm pretzel rolls and a platter of salads; Potato, Macaroni, Beet, and Cucumber tomato. After that, the gigantic platter of entrees; Schnitzel, meatballs, 3 different kinds of sausages, baked chicken, roast potatoes, green beans, macaroni and cheese, potatoes gratin, and Spaetzle. Like at Ohana, you can ask for more of a specific dish. Then came dessert; German Cream Cake with berry compote, Black forest cake, Warm Apple Strudel with cream sauce and warm chocolate chip cookies.

There were only 4 other parties in the restaurant when we were there. The Oompa band (the same entertainers as always) were there and I almost cried. It was so nice to see them! The dance floor is closed which doesn't affect us but may for those with children. I went to use the restroom once and did put my mask back on while up and walking, but otherwise it was off at the table while we were eating.

I was just so happy and everything was wonderful. The CMs were fantastic but I do miss the CMs from Germany and hope they are able to return soon.

We ate there during our 7/25-8/8 trip. There are some German CMs there, likely not enough to fully staff it though. Our server was from Germany, as was another server in that part of the restaurant--she noticed our daughters looking at the German state flags (both DDs took/are taking German in high school.)

We ate there a few years ago. I had a blast and really enjoyed the people at our table. My sons, who were fairly young men at the time, did not enjoy having strangers at our table LOL. Food was just okay to me but the whole experience was awesome! Lots of fun!!

Wish they would have kept the sauerbraten on the menu. Without it, we will go elsewhere. Do love the band though.

I am looking forward to my solo trip in October. I am fine with sitting with others normally but am also happy with having a table to myself. Thanks for the review.

Glad you had such a great time! Did they ask first if you wanted all those items, or did they automatically bring everything? It would be good to have the chance to opt out of any items that no one at the table wants.

Sorry my response took so long: They were already plated and brought to the table. We said they didn't need to bring the beet salad, but it wasn't really optional.

Thank you for the review, it is without a doubt one of our favorites. I dream of those salads-was the warm potato salad available? And the cream sauce with the strudel-I just add that to all of the desserts, my favorite, lol.

No, all the salads were the cold ones, but there was the potato gratin.
