Wendy Darling nightgown, slightly OT

My dd LOVES peter pan and everything to do with it. She dearly wants a blue nightdress like wendy and I can't find anything anywhere. Unfortunately Disney dosen't make one, they have a blue Cinderella but dd wants nothing to do with that. I can't even find a blue nightgown, ugh.

Does anyone happen to to know of a store or website where I can find a nice blue nightgown that even slightly resembles Wendy's?

Thanks - that is terrific and she would LOVE the blue one but I can't spend $55.00 for a nightgown.

I was really hoping to just find a blue nightgown as she really wants to sleep in it!!

Okay, so are you ready to laugh at me? We attempted to do a Peter Pan theme for the family this past Halloween. I was Wendy and this was the best nightgown I could find... I got it at the thrift store. One of my friends told me that I looked like the crazy lady at the nursing home.

And for the record, my DH insisted on wearing the tights... he said if he was going to be Peter Pan, then he was going all out!

Make one. Wendy's gown is SUPER easy to sew. Here's a pattern for it:

For the perfect wendy, do the neckline with elastic, not a drawstring. You should also add wide satin ribbons to the underbust seam on either side, to get the back bow. Batiste would be lovely for sleeping but a bit sheer for daywear; cotton sateen will give you a satin look that little girls tend to love, and it is very comfy. (I always make princess costumes out of sateen.)

My sisters and I always slept in this type gown when we were little; my mother made them by the dozen out of scrap fabric, even from sheets that were wearing out.

Oh how I wish I could sew but honestly I don't even own a machine! My sister does so maybe I can talk "auntie" into helping out her neice. Thanks everyone, I know I will find something.
