One of the girls on my soccer team.....well she has coordination problems..
The thing is she TRIES so hard.. she practices endlessly. The dad is great he is always working with her..
In practice she is ALWAYS trying, working..
He was sitting next to my DW and he had just been telling her how she was practicing more and how she was feeling bad about things when...
SHE SCORED!!! OMG.. everyone freaked.. my assistant coach was banging me on the back of my head, the girls were screaming.. everybody was tripping out...
DW reported that the Dad.. literally couldn't speak for a minute or two...
He kept trying to get words out and they just wouldn't come...
THEN just to ice the cake she made a beautiful cross in front of the net that someone else banged in easily...
From a girl that hadn't come close in 3 years....
After the game I said to the girl "You can probably use this to get something good out of your dad" he turns around and says "I already have plans"

So we lost 8-7.. put 2 girls in the ER..
but it was still a great game!!!!

:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc That's GREAT, Alex! I'm sure she feels wonderful after accomplishing so much. Two into the ER? :earseek:

both ankles.. weird coincidence but it happens..
think they are both just sprains...

How wonderful for the uncoordinated girl....coming from another uncoordinated girl! ;)

WOOOHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DD just made varsity as a freshman.....she's wanting to get one of the starting forward positions that's open....she finds out tomorrow.....wish us luck!

What a great story, has the makins of a Disney movie. :D

Great game, great attitude, great players, great coach. Sounds like fun ::yes::.

Krista :)

Awww, great story, Alex. Y'all didn't lose you just scored fewer points than the other team. Sounds to me like your team was victorious in other ways, though.

Wow! That's all I can say.

Well you know, neither of those girls is going to forget today's game ever!

Here's a healing wish for both of them. :)

That's great Alex!!!!!

Similar season for DD ELizabeth. She played outdoor in the Fall.....and about 6 indoor games before she FINALLY scored a goal!!!

It was her first time playing indoor...and we actually played all our indoor games in MA (with a futsal league)....but the closest venue to you was in Rehoboth.

Thats what makes it all worth it, huh? :D
How are the girls? Hope theyre ready for the new season.
