Congrats!

Three of my cousins had their children pre-marriage. Maria was the first one born when her mother was 17. She is 11 now and has been the light of my life since the day she was born. She brought my entire fmaily closer. Her mom (my cousin) is married now to a great guy (not Maria's father who was a bit of an %^*) and they have another baby as well.

Babies bring families together and I am so happy for you are your family to be having a new bundle of joy in your life. :)

Congrats on the wedding too. My best friend and my brother are getting married this month. May is the month for weddings! :)

My mom and Grandmother were Nanas. Good title. My mom also liked Marmie, but Nana was what everyone was called. I am sure I will be Nana to my grandkids when I get there.

I have fun with your new bundle of joy and your big wedding to plan. You do have a lot going on in your life...

What a fun year you will have!!!

Kelli, congratulations on being a Nana-to-be! I know that circumstances aren't always perfect, but I can already tell how much your love your daughters and your grandchild that is on the way. God bless!

My husbands concern is what the grandbaby will call him. He doesn't like Grandpa. Papa is what my girls call our dads, so he doesn't want that. He used to say his grandkids would call him Gaffer which is what they called the Grandpa in The Hobbit (the Grandma was Gammer; I never liked that). So, he's been stewing about this question for a few weeks.

Any suggestions?

The kids call my dad Grandpa Pete, though DD just calls him Pete - it's rather cute actually and Dad thinks it's funny the way she says it! They call my step-dad Grandpa Dan, though DD calls him Mine, we haven't figured that one out yet!

Sometimes DD calls my step-dad Boppa.

DH's parents are Bon-Papa and Bonne-Maman. My great-grandpa was Poppa. I've also heard Pop-pop and Pee-Paw lately.

First off, congratulations!!! Im glad you are feeling better about the situation now. I knew you would. ;) You seem to have a loving family bond which should help you guys get through anything.
And I dont know, from looking at your picture, I just dont see you as a Grandma, Nana, or anything like that. ;) Definitely the best/youngest looking Nana Ive ever seen.
As for your DH, my kids call my father Pop. Its always been easy for them(and the 2 other grandchildren) to say. None of them could ever get "Grandma" right at first, but Pop was simple. :D

My kids call my step-father Crazy Gramps. My father is called Pop, my grandfather is called Grandad, my other grandfather is called pop-pop.

I was 22 when my first was born and even though I was married I was young for where I lived..(still am.) So my parents are young grandparents too. Good luck to your husband..it is a big deal. This is what he will be called for years to come!

Devyn calls my dad "Paw Paw" and my mom "nana"

Congrats on the upcoming wedding and the new grand baby!

Thanks for the name suggestions. I like Pop, but he thinks that makes him seem real old. My kids call our parents Papa Will and Papa King, but not when they are speaking directly to them. I like Papa, and I think it goes great with Nana. This should be easier, shouldn't it?

My inlaws went by Nana & Papa, and yes it did go good together.

Awww, that is great, tc. I have a feeling that this little baby is going to be such a joy and blessing to you all. I'll pray for a healthy pregnancy and delivery for your DD.

Congratulations, again Kelli. I wish her all the best during her pregnancy. I am sure you will be a wonderful Nana!
