I called today to get AKL- Value Studio at 7 months (for early March 2009)-- all booked up! They did have a standard room left, so we took that. However, we could only book the first 7 days. So now I have to call back tomorrow and again on Sunday to get the whole reservation. She said, I won't even send you a confirmation letter yet...since you'll be calling to make changes.
This is the first time ever that I haven't been able to get what I wanted at 7 months. We don't go during Easter so this is just the college spring break crowd (and some private schools, I know).
Oh well...I guess I should have tried to walk the reservation calling earlier this week.
The thing is, we may call tomorrow and Sunday and not be able to get a ressie for the last two nights.
I think I liked it the old way better....at least everyone was on the same playing field for the days.
