Not the best trip report you'll ever read, but I can safely say that you should always purchase trip insurance because it saved us greatly.

We typically do Disney once a year, sometimes we go with friends and family and we usually stay offsite at a condo or rental house. This year my wife wanted to stay on grounds and bring our nanny. So to make it somewhat affordable we got 2 rooms at the All Star Movie Resort and cashed in on the Free Dining.

We had a lovely first 2 and half days, we were living the dream. Then on Monday morning my 2 year old daughter threw up before we got into the Animal Kingdom. We went to First Aid and about 40 minutes later she threw up again. From that point on we were in the hotel for about the 90% of the trip. My wife and other daughter got sick the following day and it was so bad that we had to have Doctor visit our room.

We did get the trip insurance through Travel Guard and they covered the Doctors expense and will pay for any prescriptions and even some of the lost time on our trip but it was such a bummer to plan for months and have such a crappy time.

A few quick highlights -

1. My wife and I did eat at Citricos, great experience. I had the Filet, she had the Lamb.

2. My girls loved meeting the characters and when feeling well, they took some great pictures.

3. Even though they were sick it was nice to spend a lot of time with my family and not have to worry about work stuff.

One bright side-You gotta go again. You have to make this right. That ALWAYS makes me feel better. :hippie:

Aw, I'm sorry! We had some issues with tummies on our trip, too, but fortunately not for the majority of the trip. We didn't buy trip insurance, and I was definitely thinking about that when we were still wondering how long it would take DS to recover and whether the other kids would get it, too!

Glad there were some bright spots at least!
