Well, that didn't go just quite as planned ..... an Aug/Sept 17 Update 07/12

And here we go again ..........

Tom and I (Karin) went on another adventure/vacation to WDW in the summer of 2017. Little did we know that many of the things we had planned did not turn out as planned.

Here's my dear brother Tom, a retired mailman, with his new best friend, who got the biggest giggle out of his shirt.
Tom goes along with whatever I plan, as he loves everything and anything Disney just as much as I do.

I am still working as a teacher in a small village in Upper Austria. Thankfully I have a bit of spare time on my hands as well, so I can plan our vacations.

We both grew up here in Austria, where Disney is not a part of life. As kids we got to read the Mickey Mouse cartoons, that our parents would buy for us, but that was it. We were both aware of the fact that there are Disney parks out there, but they are for little kids, aren't they?
When we went to California for the first time in 1992, Los Angeles was one of the places to visit and since we had a day to spare we wanted to just "see" Disneyland. Little did we know that we would fall in love with all things Disney and an addiction was formed.
We have been back to Disneyland a few times, hold APs to Walt Disney World and take frequent trips to Disneyland Paris. Guess what, we cruise with Disney as well.

Just a few hints about this trip .........

It started on August 22 and we were looking forward to a lot of things, like a dessert party and

a fun Halloween Party with friends

Savor, Sip and Sparkle event at the Contemporary Resort

a cruise on the Disney Dream

yes, there was a LOT of food, which will be a HUGE part of the report

gifts .....

and another MNSSHP with even more friends

Food and Wine event

um ........., did I mention that there will be food?

and Hurricane Irma which extended our trip by a week

before it was time to head back to Austria.

There were quite a few unexpected twists and turns in our trip to keep the excitement up.
