After planning for the last three months, my mother's surprise 60th birthday party is finally over. She had never had a birthday party (even as a child), so we threw her a big one (80 people).
I was so stressed out (I had never planned a big party before), but everything went great! It was pouring when we woke up this morning, but by noon the sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. We had smoked/pulled pork, chicken skewers, chili dogs, homemade mac and cheese, ziti, cake..basicly everything yummy and nothing healthy
. The kids had a great time on the bouncy bounce we bought and all the grownups got a kick out of the old pictures of Mom that I had around.
I have the greatest mom in the world. If I gave her a party every day from now until forever, I could never give her back all that she's given me. Today was a great day and I just wanted to share it with everybody.
