Well, it's official...BF can't go to WDW.

With 16 days to go, my sweetie told me yesterday that he definitly can't go to WDW this year so I will be going solo. I succeeded in turning him into a Disney fan with out trip last year and he was excited about going again. He even took an interest in planning, wanting to spend more time in MGM and eating at HBD. But a couple of months ago, he started wondering if he would be able to make it. The big decisions were pet care (1 cat & 2 rabbits) and running his business while he was away. The final straw came a couple of weeks ago when we discovered that in addition to having to replace all of our windows by winter we would need a completely new roof. The trip is paid up except for his airfare and spending money, but he can't justify spending any more money when such a large expense is coming up. As a result, I am going solo and will spend some time with my family down there.
Funny thing is last year was supposed to be a solo trip for me but I convinced him at the last minute to join me. So while I like the idea of finally getting another solo trip, I can't help but feel really disappointed as we were planning this trip together. I know that I will have many moments of "He would have loved to go on SM again" or "He was looking forward to eating there".
I have cancelled two ressies - one for Hollywood Brown Derby at 2:50pm on 9/14 and one for Artist Point on 9/17 at 7pm. I will also post them on the Restaurant board.

I'm sorry to hear that. Maybe it'll work out somehow that he can go. Either way, enjoy your trip!

Awww - I am so sorry. My husband was not able to make this tri. It just comes at a really bad time for his job. Close of fiscal year, he will be doing business travel ect. But on the upside I am getting to take my Mom and I know we will have a blast.

I hope that you are able to really enjo your solo trip. I would love to do a solo trip one day
