Very cool, we will overlap two days, we are Nov. 6-8th Jambo house concierge adults only, CAN'T WAIT!!!!!
Don't you just love the flexibility DVC gives you. So are you purchasing your annual passes when you get down there or ahead of time?
Lesley

Adults only sounds AWESOME!:cloud9: Loving the flexibility to try different resorts!:thumbsup2 I think we are going to try and buy our annual passes 2 at a time to spread the cost out a bit. What are you guys doing?:goodvibes

Happy New Year to you Diane! :)

So many great restaurants - my mouth is watering right now. ;) You guys have eaten at Sci Fi before, right?

I really want to try Yak and Yeti. I think I'm most excited for you guys to do HDD!

Depends on our tax refund:rotfl: I will probably buy the voucher ahead of time so that the money is spent on that and nothing else;) and then get it "cashed in" the first day of the trip, time will tell. Just so excited to have an AP for once!!! It will make those spontaneous trips so much easier!

Thanks Carissa! Happy New Year to you too! We are so excited to try HDDR, I have read alot of good reviews on it and of course I remember what a great time you had there with your dad!! Yak and Yeti is AWESOME!!:thumbsup2

:rotfl: Our tax money is spoken for already too! We actually have a second vacation planned next summer in August to Aruba for 9 days!:rolleyes1 Thank god our airfare has already been bought and paid for!:thumbsup2

Well I am very sad at the moment! I was reading the DIS as I often do:rolleyes1 and I was sooooo disappointed to discover that they changed Star Wars Weekends for 2009:eek: They will be the LAST 2 weekends in May and the FIRST 2 weekends in June, so we will miss it by a week:sad2: I don't have the heart to tell Eric:sad1: We built it up so much to him, I cannot begin to tell you how devastated he will be! I have spent many hours trying to place our dining into our park schedule and then FINALLY today I thought I had it just about perfect then WHAM I read about SWW. I had planned to go to DHS specifically for that and of course scheduled our meals around it. Oh well, we are still going to Disney so I can't be too upset right:thumbsup2

I can't believe our winter break is over and I have to set an alarm for tomorrow:sad2: Alarms are only joyful at Disney, don't you agree?:goodvibes We celebrated our last day of break by taking the kids to see Marley and Me. What a SAD movie! I wish I did a little more research before we went:headache: Lesley, if you are reading this DO NOT go see this!

I hope everyone transitions back into their routines without too much stress!

Coming soon to this PTR...

Awww man - that stinks. :( I guess a positive might be that it'll be less busy when you go!

Aww, that is such a shame about SWW. Would it be too hard to go down a few days later than you were planning, so end of your trip would fall during first couple days of SWW?

But like other said, at least it will be a little less croweded:goodvibes

Trent goes back to school tomorrow, but at least he is in the afternoon class, so not too bad:cool1:

Sorry to hear about SWW. I know how fun it would've been for your son to see that. But, maybe next year you could plan it??

So funny, I was just about to post the same thing on our TR, I'm going there next. Isn't that AWFUL!!! This is the first year we haven't gone on my b-day and the first year we will miss SWW, I am so bummed.
I would have warned you about Marley and Me, didn't know you were going to see it. I was going to take Luke just the two of us one night and I logged into one of those parent rating websites and knew right away there was no way he or I could handle it. It makes me angry the way this movie is being portrayed as the "best family movie of the season", BULL, poor kids who have been traumatized by this film, especially those (like mine) who have lost pets recently. I plan on seeing that via rental just Tim and I, thanks for the warning though.
Lesley

Oh, Diane, you could always change your trip dates to accomodate SWW (and be at WDW the same time we are)! :rolleyes1

What a bummer about that. Have you been before? We had such a blast last year that we are looking forward to it again.

That sucks about Star Wars weekend :sad2: . I dread setting the alarms for tomorrow morning too :sad1: . I don't want to get up at 6:30 am. Thomas is already crying because he doesn't want to go to school. Not looking foward to dragging him in :rolleyes1 . I already knew the outcome of Marley & Me. Forget the kids being upset, I don't need to be crying at the movies either. So DH and I went to see 4 Christmas's instead. Left the kids with Grandma. Looking forward to your update. Guess what? I picked Saratoga Springs as our resort. Now you can tell me eveything I need to know to stay there, LOL :lmao: . Guess I should request Grandstand right?

Awww man - that stinks. :( I guess a positive might be that it'll be less busy when you go!

I am hoping you are right and that would be the ONLY positive about it!:thumbsup2

School doesn't get out here until the 16th which is Tuesday, we have NO snow days built into the calendar so, if we get a snow day they are tacked on to the end of the year which means only 3 days to play with! I hope Trent adjusted OK to going back to school!:goodvibes

Sorry to hear about SWW. I know how fun it would've been for your son to see that. But, maybe next year you could plan it??

Yes, once he finds out that we are missing it this year we will need to plan to attend someday VERY soon!:thumbsup2

Wish I did ask you about Marley & Me:rolleyes1 Now I just read this morning that Space Mountain will be in refurb while we are there too! I haven't even told Eric about SWW yet, I will wait until May or the next time he brings it up!:confused3

Would love to meet you in person Jackie!:goodvibes Unfortunately are dates are not flexible at all!:goodvibes

Bryan was so MAD when he found out because we built it up so much as something for him and Eric to share in:sad2: Congrats on Saratoga! are you doing a studio or 1 bedroom? Yes, we requested Grandstand 1st choice and Springs as 2nd choice. Granstand is 1st off and 1st on for busses, Springs is last but Springs is closest to the main pool and Artist Palette!:goodvibes

Definatley won't be going to see Marley and Me. I lost my bestest doggie this year to Diabetes. Won't be seeing that movie!!!

Yes, you are right about the movie, Marley and Me. I didn't see it, but my kids went with their grandma last week while they were off for break and I was at work. My daughter said they were all crying. My MIL said she was sobbing. We had a chocolate lab "Nick" that we really loved that passed a couple years ago and we just got new yellow lab puppy. (I have a pic posted in my TR) So they couldn't wait to see the movie since Marley is just like our Katie. As my daughter says, "Wow, I didn't see that coming." It sounded tough for kids to watch. My kids know the reality, and I think they were mature enough to understand, but still very sad.

Yes, best to avoid it then!:thumbsup2

So sad that your poor kids had to experience that! I wish the coming attractions were a little more "truthful" as to what the outcome is because through them the movie appears to be nothing but comedy!:sad2:

OK not to be a downer for like the 3rd post in a row:rotfl: BUT...................

1. No more Star Wars Weekend
2. Space Mountain down for HUGE refurb
3. Hall of Presidents refurb (not really too big a deal)
4. Tomorrowland Transit Authority down for refurb!!

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

I know that Disney has to do refurbs but I think this is going to make Frontierland and Fantasyland a CROWDED NIGHTMARE even at rope drop!! Let's face it, the big draw in Tomorrowland is Space Mountain and the Hall of Presidents does draw it's fair share of people too. The TTA is the thing I am most bummed about because we LOVE to ride around and just soak up that Disney/Magic Kingdom atmosphere:sad1: Anyway, sorry for the little rant, I just feel like everyday there is something new added to the list of BIG BUMMERS!!!

That stinks Diane. Do you know when the TTA starts its refurbishment? We have never been on it and plan to this trip. I didn't see it listed for our timeframe.

Trent adjusted very well. He was so excited to see his friends:goodvibes

How did your boys do?

That stinks. I just read that the other day.

Just think for your next trip though, Space Mountain and TTA are supoosed to be totally different and updated and have fresh looks. I am excited for it, as even though I enjoy Space Mountain, it is really outdated.

But I hear ya, it will make other lands a tad more crowded :sad2:

TTA is going down because of the Space Mountain refurb, Carissa. April 19.

I told Charles today about the SM refurb, Diane, and he said, "Well, there goes my favorite ride at the MK." There always seems to be something during June for us -- one year, Haunted Mansion; last year, Pirates; this year, Space Mountain. It is a downer. :(
