All right everyone, it's Princess time! princess: I am so excited for the race this sunday, but am feeling woefully undertrained. I did the half in January and have done a couple 10/11 mile runs since then, but in the past few weeks it's only been 6 mile runs for me. I kept thinking I could get one more solid effort in before the race, and now suddenly it's Thursday. Oooops! I've hardly had time to post on this board, either, as usual. Bummer!

So, it will have to be a slow and easy run this time around! I'm a little nervous but hope that the Princess energy carries me through. That, and a well-choreographed mix on my ipod...!

Good luck fellow participants!! :cheer2:

Dont worry too much I ran it last year with 0 miles training... seriously I'm not kidding, not a single step trained for it, and I finished (in pain but I did it!)

You'll be just fine, see you there :thumbsup2

That is pretty much the mindset I'll be going to DC with for the National in 2 weeks. The weather has just not been conducive to high mileage up until the last week and ramping it up now is a bit too close for comfort.

Just run for the experience (and the medal) instead of the time on this on.

Not to worry, practically every race I've done I've been undertrained. I completed the 2005 WDW full on 9 miles of training and a full 3 week taper. I didn't crosstrain or anything for those 3 weeks ( I was hurt). I was hurting pretty bad during and after the race but race day magic is an amazing thing! You will have a wonderful time, I wish I was going this year!

I have only done 1 hour on the tread mill (roller) last night. Before then the last time I did anything was on the 7th march, so I will be with you in taking it slow.

Your responses all make me feel SO much better!! I've never been one of those people who has to do EVERY mile on the training plan anyway.

I am definitely doing this race for the medal.... !!
