I'm a redhead!

I went to get my hair cut and colored today. I was thinking I was going to go with something close to my natural color, a dark blonde. But the stylist - first time using him - suggested a red shade, as I have blue eyes and very fair skin.

This guy has been doing hair for about 30 years, so I trusted him. I have to say, I'm pretty happy with the results! It's a red kinda like Lindsay Lohan's natural color (if you can remember that far back.) Sorry I have no before and after pics.

Just that change I needed!

I'm a fair skinned, blue eyed redhead, too. Actually, I've always been one (natural redhead) and I've always loved it. When I was an awkward young girl, it was the one thing that made me feel special, and I still feel that way about it.

I would post some if I could...DH has the digital camera, and he is in his home country visiting his family until July 22...so no pics for awhile, unless I go out and buy a disposable camera and get the pics on CD. Maybe.

It's weird, I do the same thing, when I pass a mirror I do a double take. But it's a good double take!

strawberry blond here (ever since i was a baby). had a smart-a** hairdresser who did both mine and mom's (non red head) hair for years. it never failed that someone saw her working on me and would ask her "oh, i like that shade-what bottle did it come out of?", she got tired of it after awhile and would just turn to me and say "i'm not sure, 'x' can you ask your mom what she was drinking when you were conceived"

ds's got the same coloring as i do, and the same color hair-i think it's easier being a redhead now-it's much more popular than when i was a kid!

doesn't it feel good though !!! It is a great feeling to get a new look. Especially so dramatic. My mom has a lot of grey...it is very pretty but her b/f wants her to go blonde... I told her to go for it. She looks so much younger than she is, except her hair... we'll see. I will have to take before/after if she does

Congrats! I love being a red head. It works really well with my skin tone and green eyes. But I have to always work to keep it from dulling out and fading. But I love being a red head.
