and so far it says isolated t-storms the entire time we are there...but a 30% chance of precip...I am not sweating it, I plan to throw on a poncho and go, but I just am annoyed! I hope we luck out--DH and DB are doing the segway tour on our last day...

When it rains, it tends not to last though, right?

I checked the weather, and checked and checked and checked.........for the couple days leading up to our last trip.........and had the same type of forecast you note.......

Then we got there..............it drizzled on one of the nites we were there.........one nite for about a half hour.........out of the 8 nites we were in orlando.............

Point being........I wouldn't put too much credence in the forecast, much less the 30% chance of rain.......I think those weather people purposely do that to Orlando so that when you get there and it doesn't rain.............its real MAGICAL................

Don't sweat it.............:sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

I am so glad to hear you say that! I am in the same boat as 2002DisneyBride. I've been checking the weather and found out it is forcasted to rain

I did read that in Orlando if it does rain, it usually only rains for 15 minutes or so and then clears up. Rain or shine, I'll be having a good time, but some sunshine would be nice!

See you there :wave2:

When we got married at Disney, I remember the hairstylist telling me, "Worry if it's 80% chance of rain, not 30% and we had a gorgeous, sunny day!"

I have been there in torrential downpours...so I am really not sweating it! I just want my brother and husband to be able to do their segway tour! :earsboy:

And ladyluc, a little sun would be nice-I agree!!!! When are you going? I'll be the roly-poly pregnant woman sitting on a bench somewhere...

I have also been checking the weather and was concerned with the forecast. We are leaving Sunday and will be there until the 18th at the BCV. I really hope it doesn't rain.

Have a great trip!!

2002DisneyBride...Congrats on your upcoming baby.

Once you hit April, the weather forecast is ALWAYS 30% chance of rain, straight up until November! I think they only put 'Sunny' in there once in a while to break up the monotony of saying 'Isolated thundershowers'.

Don't worry about it too much. Florida is known for having isolated thundershowers but more often than not, if it does rain it's generally a quick downpour and it's over.

We'll be there same time as you! The "it only rains for 15 minutes" thing IS A LIE! A myth! A farce! We got absolutely soaked last September when it rained and rained and rained...We discovered the drainage systems at the AK can't handle the day long torrential downpours and we were walking through water that was ankle deep in many spots.

But I agree - 30% chance of rain isn't going to worry me too much!

This past week would have been the week to go. There was absolutely no rain in the forecast. I've been checking it everyday and hoping that it will change. So far, it shows thunderstorms everday that we will be there. The worst is that Saturday is showing a 50% chance of thunderstorms and that is our only night to see Spectro. :worried: We always go in May and it usually never rains for more than an hour in the afternoon. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Me too! Do you guys have anything special planned for your 2nd anniversary trip? :p

I'm at WDW right now. Last week the forecast for this week had isolated t-showers for everyday. The only day we had rain was Monday when the front went through, it was on and off rain all day. Since then it has been perfect, mid-80's and sunny. I wouldn't worry, the long range forecast on the news has been continuing good weather.

I hope maybe they will add another showing of Spectro if the crowds are high. We're also planning on going to Spectro that night but plan on lining up very early.

Thunderstorms in FL are quite different then in the NE. The weather can change very quickly and the rain won't last more than a couple of hours (we hope anyway:D ).

Hope everyone has a wonderful trip!!

2002Disneybride:

We don't really have anything special planned this year. DH is turning 25 on May 10th (the day before we leave) and our official anniversary is not until May 25th, so this is a birthday/anniversary celebration. We usually try to go later in May, but this year due to work and school, we had no choice but to go during the 2nd week. We have some PS planned and will probably take advantage of some of the evening EMH. We are just happy to be getting out of Ohio for a few days! It sure is getting close now! Sunny Florida here we come!

Maybe the 30 percent will be at night when you are asleep? 8 hours is about 30 percent of a day. Just a happy thought since we will be there next week also. LOL
