Okay so I'm new here, new to WDW....just a newbie all around. I come in peace :) :hippie:

I'm taking my best stab at this pre-trip report thing....

Mostly I just want to list what we have planned so far (I feel like I'm running out of time because we leave in a little over a month), and hope everyone will give me all the comments and suggestions that they have!!!

39 days to go!!! :)

September 19th, Friday
We will be flying out of Denver, Colorado (and missing lots of Rockies baseball games while we are gone :sad1: ) at 10:54 AM, and getting into Orlando at 4:21. I figure that by the time we actually get TO our hotel rooms it'll be somewhere around 6 or 7 PM, so we're going to take this day to take it easy and get over our jet-lag!!!! We will probably go swimmming, check out Downtown Disney, and maybe (still debating on the time) go for a round or two of miniature golf (we love putt-putt). Can anyone who has been to the putt-putt tell me how it is? Day to relax. Ahhhhhhhh....

September 20th, Saturday
Enough relaxing!!!!
Today we are going to Hollywood Studios! (Okay, so I have actually been to WDW before.....but it doens't really count. In 9th grade in high school we went to Hollywood Studios on a band trip, but me being the little punk I was, said that the park stunk because there were not enough thrill rides....yeah.....didn't pick up a park map when we came in haha. This was before my Disney obsession kicked into high gear so I kind of try to put it out of my mind. I don't really remember much about it either.)

Lunch reservation at 11 AM at Sci-Fi. DBF and I are SUPER excited about this one, as we are both horror movie fans, and the corny ones they show sound fun. Plus the whole atmosphere just sounds like a blast.

Dinner reservation at 5:30 at Hollywood and Vine. I didn't really want to pick this restaraunt...maybe someone can sell me on it???(DBF is a super picky eater) :confused3 The only reason I picked it was because we neeeded a reservation this day that would get us Fantasmic seating, and my restaraunt of choice, Mama Melrose's didn't have anymore, and I wasn't taking up 2 DDP credits for Brown Derby. I've called back several times hoping something had opened up, but alas, nothing.

After Hollywood Studios closes at 8, we are hoping to hop on over to the Magic Kingdom in time to catch Wishes!!! We're not really looking to ride anything this night, but it seemed like a good idea to end our very FIRST night on our very FIRST trip there with a Fireworks show!!!

More to come later.........Like I said, comments, suggestions, TOTALLY encouraged!!! Thank you Dis'ers!!! I already love it here :)

Your first trip-how exciting. I enjoy the mini golf and it is much nicer then anything we have around where I live. We are planning on DTD for our first night too. I have never eaten at the Hollwood and Vine so I can't comment.
Have a great trip!

Sunday September 21st
So today we are going to the Magic Kingdom!!! Yay!!!:cool1:  :cool1: I am a great big huge kid at heart so this is the park I am most excited about. I have been to Disneyland twice and every time I walk into the Magic Kingdom I am literally so overcome with emotion that I start crying. DBF thinks I am insane!:rotfl2: We have a lunch ressie at the Crystal Palace at 11:30 AM (Hopefully we will beat the lunch rush?). I am also super dooper excited about this one because I am a HUGE Winnie The Pooh fan. I love teddy bears, I collect them and have over 300. I love Disney with all my heart....put them together....and you get Pooh Bear!!! :) Nothing makes me happier:cloud9:

After lunch we want to see the Dreams Come True Parade, then we are meeting my rich aunt and uncle at 5:35 at The Plaza for dinner. I mention they are rich because I am SUPER nervous to be around them. My uncle seriously intimidates me. I love them to peices, but he is the CEO of a huge company:scared1: Any ideas of what I should wear? haha

The jury's still out on whether or not we will see Wishes this night, as we're going to try to squeeze it in the first night, and will be spending the evening with my lavish aunt who will probably want to sit next to the pool with a margarita and chat (no complaining here!!!)

Monday, September 22nd
Today we are going to the Animal Kingdom!!! I love animals (my tv channel rarely leaves Animal Planet), specifically tigers, so I think this is going to be a fun day. My aunt and uncle will be spending the day with us, and they are very laid back (after all they only live 2 hours away from WDW), so I'm guessing they will just want to kind of meander around. Okay with me, but I will have to reign in DBF and make him walk slowly:rolleyes:

We have just planned a counter service for lunch this day, I've heard raves about the Flamin' Tree BBQ and can't wait to try it!

After the Animal Kingdom closes, we are going to head over to Hollywood studios for their EMH, and eat dinner there at a counter service as well....can anyone suggest a good one????:scratchin

Tuesday, September 23rd
Okay, so I know I keep saying this.......but I am also super excited about this day haha:goodvibes

Today we are going to Epcot. We are meeting my aunt and uncle at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall for lunch at 11:20 AM. I am SOOOOOO excited about this restaraunt, for a couple of reasons. First. I....LOVE....CASTLES. The Akershus Castle in Norway is one of my favorites. So I'm excited to see what WDW's looks like!!!! Secondly, I love princesses!!!!!!!!!!! :lovestruc DBF's sister is going through a rough split-up-is-supposed-to-be-a-divorce-at-some-point ugly situation. Needless to say, it's roughest on the kids. No matter how much she and her two girls begged, he wouldn't let them take a vacation to Disneyland this year with DBF's parents. So I figured the best I can do is get them something unforgettable from WDW. The girls both have a favorite princess, so I am going to get them each a Mickey, or some other stuffed animal, and have their princess of choice autograph it to them. I will not STOP until I get these princess's autographs!!!!!! And thirdly, I made a promise to myself that over the course of this trip, I WOULD try something new, so this is my chance!!!

After lunch, my dear aunt and uncle will be going home (whew), and this is where DBF and I are um....shall we say....differing in our opinions on itinerary. From what I've read, there are TONS of shops in the world showcase, and I want to see almost all of them. DBF....eh....he's not such a big shoppper. He wants to spend most his time in Future world. I want to ride the rides there as well, but I don't want to spend the day there....hopefully we can manage to compromise...

Then, at around 5:30 6ish, we are leaving Epcot.....and going to........*drumroll* Mickey's not so scary Halloween party!!!!! :woohoo: Halloween is my FAVORITE holiday, so I'm WAY WAY WAAAYYYY excited for this. I'm still debating on the whole costume thing though.......do alot of adults dress up? What is something that I can wear that will be easy to change into once it's time for the Halloween party???? Suggestions pleeeeeeease???? For dinner this night, we will be having a counter service meal, can anyone suggest a really good one for The MK????

And as always....my busy life calls...more later :)

Wednesday, September 24th
Today is nothing toooooo exciting. We are going to the Animal Kingdom again and eating both lunch and dinner at counter service restaraunts.

Thursday, September 25th
Today we are going to the magic kingdom again :):):) I love the magic kingdom because it completely captures why I love Disney so much. I cry during the parades just because it makes me soooo happy to be there :) We are having dinner at Tony's Town Square at 6:45. Now....I'm a little nervous about this one. I've heard recently that the food isn't really all that great anymore. Can someone who has been there recently give me some insight on this?

One of the things I am most excited about for this night is the Spectro Magic parade....every time we went to Disneyland it was during a time of year that they weren't showing the electrical parade. I've heard rumors that they are getting rid of this parade....hopefully not before we go, or I will be so dissappointed.

Friday, September 26th
Today we are going to Epcot for a FULL day :) We have lunch at The Coral Reef at 11:30 AM and Dinner at San Angel Inn at 7 PM. This is going to be our "romantic date night" (It is, after all a Friday). We will get to watch Illuminations this night as well. My ONLY concern is that I know the food and wine festival is starting this week, in fact I think it's this day, so I'm a little worried about the crowds....can someone tell me what it was like in years past???

Saturday, September 27th
Our last day here :( We are actually flying out Sunday, but it will be early enough that we won't be able to really do anything. Today we are going to to Hollywood Studios then to the Magic Kingdom for one final hurrah. We're going to Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner at 8:50. Although the food here doesn't sound BAD, I must say I definitely picked it solely for a character dining experience.

And there it is, folks!!!! please leave me any comments or suggestions you have, they would be so much appreciated!!!!!!!

Sounds like a great trip.

About H&V - we also did it for the Fantasmic package. It was a meal - not our favorite, that's for sure. But, it gets you into Fantasmic. Flame
Tree was one of our most favorite CS. You have some good ADRs. And, you're going to love Spectro.

Did I miss something - where are you staying?

And, about your itinerary - on your first park day - if you have Fantasmic at 8PM, you might want to reconsider fitting Wishes in after that. You'll be in a sea of people leaving the park at the same time.

Wow, can't belive I forgot this.... lol thanks for reminding me.

We are staying at All-Star sports. My first choice was acutally all star movies but to get the free dining all star sports was all they had. But my aunt and uncle are staying at all star movies so we are goign to go over with them and use the pool.

You are going to have so much fun. Last year was the first time I had been back since high school and I loved it. Totally different experience.
I will be at ASsp also. I think it will be packed but I do not plan on being at the hotel so who cares!!
Your plan looks good. Just take your time and have fun (I am trying to tell myself that too)
