My little family of 3 is heading to Disney in 13 days and WE ARE SO EXCITED!!!!! :dance3: Can't wait to stay at the Grand Flordian - last time we stayed there was for our honeymoon - 12 years ago and then the year before our son was born in 2002!!

Who else is going in August??? What are your BIG plans?

We will be arriving at BLT 3 days after you (Aug 8th) and can hardly wait. We are taking our 12 y/o DD's friend, its her 1st time going to Disney. We will be meeting up with my D cousins and their DGD. I am so excited that I am about to jump out of my skin. Have the Princess and Disney character silly bands for the girls and looking for special light up things (any suggestions are very welcome). It is getting harder and harder to find special things to do because the kids are getting older (15 y/o ds and 12 y/o dd) and we have gone so often, so I would love to hear any new ideas.

I don't belong on this thread as I only go in October, but just wanted to wish you all a great trip! :cool1:

That is so much fun your DD gets to bring a friend. My DS is 7 and he is our one and only so we know one day we will be bringing one of his friends along on our yearly Disney trip too. :goodvibes

For the light up things...we usually go to Michael's or Joann's craft stores (or even the dollar store) - they have tubes a lot of glow in the dark bracelets and necklaces -- they are not Disney - but our son likes making things out of them and wearing as many as possible at night in the parks. :)

We also make glow in the dark t-shirts for those late nights in the park -- we use glow in the dark puffy paint - they are a lot of fun. They look really cool in the dark and when in line for those lines that have blacklights and other bright lights too - like Space Mountain! :thumbsup2

I hear there are a lot of cool things for teens to do in Disney - they even have a book all about it too! (Disney World for Teens)... Sorry I can't be of much help with the teen thing yet - not there yet. I bet a lot of other people with teenages/tweens can give you great ideas - search the threads! Have SO much fun in Disney! I will be counting down the days with you! :yay:

We will be also arriving 8/5 from CT and staying at CR. We can't wait, we check into the hotel at the airport the night before so we are already there for our early morning flight. See you on the monorail!!!:woohoo:

We'll be at the Dolphin in 12 days! I am very excited. :dance3:
