welk resort - San Diego / Escondido

Has anyone ever stayed at the Welk Resort in San Diego / Escondido.
Apparently, they have 2 properties there, The Welk Resort Villas and the Villas on the Green. If you know of either of these 2 Welk Resorts I would love to hear your feedback.

I've stayed at the Lawrence Welk Villas and it was great! I had a 2BR/2BA. The unit was very spacious and clean. There was a pool and hot tub in our section, along with a smaller lap pool. The activity building had ping pong, foosball, a big screen tv and there were some arts and crafts classes.
There is a restaurant on site (I think it was more toward the Villas on the Green section). I only ate breakfast there, but my niece and her kids had a prime rib dinner.

It's about 30 minutes to San Diego (depending on traffic - which I would avoid during rush hour).

I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

I agree with TEK 244 a great resort.Stayed for 1 week in March of 04 in a 2bdr. Its close enough to San Diego and also close enough to DL to go for a day ( roughly a 2 hr drive with traffic).The golf course is a par 3 course but in great shape.Rooms are equal to that at OKW .They have bus trips to Mexico, Indian casino ,and other attractions.All in all a great resort.
