please correct me if i'm wrong... i remember reading a few years back that dvc offered some kind of welcoming gift package that would be waiting for you in your room after you first checked in.

i'm a bit hazy on the details of this... i'm almost positive it included some kind of gifts for the kids and maybe a fruit basket or something of the sort. anyone know if this is still being offered?

thank you

I'm not aware of any member gift baskets, and I've been a member since 1992. There is a welcome packet at check-in, simlar to the packet you receive at non-DVC resorts, containing resort specific information.

Many, many years ago marketing would occasionally come around and give out small gifts, like photo albums or mugs to members at OKW, but that practice didn't last too long.

You can purchase such an arrangement through the Disney florists. They are expensive.

The various packages that are available are listed on the member website. They are expensive but appear to be quite nice.

you actually dont have to go to the dvc website. you can go to www.disneyflorist.com, they have a DVC section. I put a basket together for our upcoming trip and added this bright blue fleece blanket with the DVC logo, you need to have your member # to get these items.

The Timeshare Store has a free gift basket for new buyers coming down for a trip- you can pick it up at their office in the Publix plaza (I plan to do this too!)

heres one for $87

I no longer see the DVC fleece blanket, you may want to call and ask what they have for DVC items, if you are interested in going that route.
