And I got Lucky twice!!!!!!! :p

Kimmie, I am so glad that your kitchen will be usable again! That would have to be rough not to have it! I'm just glad that you have your in-laws near by to help out. Oh as for burning... turn stove on, leave house for 2 hours, burnt item found when returning. The other option is turn it on and go work around the house until you smell somehting bad. That should do it ;)

LOL, Nancy! I am sorry Dave has to rub it in. I would never do something like that though :rolleyes1
What kind of cookware did you get yourself?

Suzanne how cute with Neil! I remember saying things like that when I was a kid... though my mistake was saying that Princess Diana's wedding dress was prettier than my mom's. HUGE mistake ;) Enjoy making the kebabs tonight for the boys! And it sounds like you had an awesome weekend!

Amanda, thanks for that offer, I am pretty much set this year. A friend of mine in PA sent me a dozen boxes of my favorite (lemon coolers) to help me get through the year. I was hoping to be able to avoid the shipping next year. Good luck with the Awanas troup next year though!

My sinuses are sitll pretty bad today. Not entirely sure what is up with it. I think this crazy weather isn't helping at all.

I have cleaning fun stuff to do to day and crud, I forgot what else I have to do today. Since I was so slow moving with this morning, I better ge to it :)

Paula, you sneated in on me!

Glad to hear you had a good weekend! And great news with Chris! It really sounds like he is getting his life "in order"
I am not 40 something, but I wish I could help out on where you could shop. What style of clothing are you looking for? For more of an E. Coast business casual look, I love NY&Co. I think they have a lot of classy looks that span a bunch of ages. I admit my ultimate favorite place to shop with awesome service is White House/Black Market. They are a bit more upscale, but I will admit a lot of my middle aged friends love Chico's. Same owners, not quite as upscale, comfy, practical & very nice looking stuff. You'd also love the way they size things :teeth:

Good morning.

Cookware...just some from Costco I wanted and then a coupon came, so I got it :)
Caphalon.....11 pieces.
I like what I have, but some pieces are getting bad. They do have a warranty. I need to find the phone number sometime and get some pieces replaced (unless of coarse there is a hidden something in there  ).

Dave isn't really rubbing it in.....just sharing ;)
He wondered why I wasn't here to answer the phone...I was at the play. He was disappointed to find out it was the one he really wanted to see :rotfl: Oh well, he was in a better place ;)

GS cookies....Dave buys from co-workers daughters and then gives them to Christin. Her favs are still Thin Mints. I should try the clone for them and see if they come out the same.

Paula, no help on shopping here. I'm frumpy as well. All shopping at regular department stores for me. Christin has been picking for me lately.

Sounds like a good time, Suzanne.
Sorry you had to go to work so early. Taffy got me up early too. I finally get to sleep in and she is still on schedule ;)

Hi Elaine - thanks for the advice.....I have never been in a NewYork & co store - do they sell petites??
We do have a Chicos - never been in there either - guess I need to get out nore - hahahaha.

I cleaned out my pants closet - got rid of alot of old jeans - I actually have 2 pairs of flares - that's a start - 2 pairs of Gap khakis....

Paula and Nancy! I'm :rotfl: here -- it must be a daughter thing! Mine got on my case last year for wearing "Mom jeans"!! :rotfl2: I've started to try to buy pants with a flare as well.

Paula - I went to NY & Co.'s website and signed up for the coupons (this was from reading Suzanne's posts!) - they send tons of coupons, I just haven't went into the store yet to buy anything.... But I plan on doing that within the next couple of weeks!

Also - DS really liked Wicked!

Nancy - I like the red box! :thumbsup2 Our friends have a burnt orange one, they just love it.

Elaine - glad you got to pick your restaurant and yes, I did finally make it to the grocery store.

Morning Ya Ya's! Another cloudy, rainy cold day here in South East Ohio. OOPS did I just say that. One month from today I'll be leavin on a jet plane to Orlando. My first time flyin with the gimp mobile. I think with my new MP3 player and a Xanax I will be fine. :teeth:

Haven't been on in some time. (I wonder why that is?) So I ain't gonna do that Ketcup stuff. I will just start a new, and who knows for how long that will be :rolleyes2 If ya catch my drift.

Going to the big city of Columbus tonight to pick up some friends from the airport. They are just getting back from a cruise. They called us this morning, they don't want to come home. After that we will go eat at either Cheesecake Factory or Cracker Barrel. I will let the women fight that one out. I don't care where we go as long as I get my belly full. :woohoo:

I have to admit that I'm not big on clothes either! I did buy cute spring things last year and that was about it.

Its funny because several years ago a little girl that I tutored had to dress as her favorite teacher. So her mom called me...uh, dress pants (cotton no iron of course) and a turtle neck or mock turtle neck. Hair pulled back in clip. That was me. So what am I sitting here today wearing....dress pants, no iron of course, a mock turtle neck, but alas, no clip. So I have changed in the last 10 years!! :lmao:

when spring gets here I will go back to the cute clothes I bought last spring...oops then I'm going to be "dated", wearing fashions that are out!! oh well, I bought them and darn it I'm gonna wear them!!

Jarrod woke up at 3 this mornign with a 103.6 fever. ugh! So he is home from school again today. He was still a little warm this morning but his Motrin hadn't worn off yet. I'm sure it is a "virus"....so no point in taking him to the doc. He is coughing and that is it.

I want to know who replaced my class with the one I have today? Apparently they didn't get enough sleep this weekend because they are exceptionally quiet today. I'm a little skeered!

back later,
tara

OH forgot to add. Isn't my baby getting big? He will turn 10 in August! Right now he is 9.375989237578728385 years old. :lmao: He is taking third grade prof. testing today. Poor kid was a nervous wreck, but he takes after his mama in the brains dept. Gets his good looks from his old man.

His pic is in my siggie>

Paula, yes, NY&Co sells petites, but if you want to be really fashionable, you need your high heeled shoes! If you do that, the regulars will fit. Trust me, they fit me mostly ;)

Gap isn't too bad for bottoms, and some of their sweaters are cute, but I find their tops to be too "young & trendy" even for me. If I want slightly trendy I will go to White House/Black Market.

Old Navy is a great place to go for jeans for the most part. Granted I don't like how they fit me (the smallest sizes are cut different than what my body is built), but they have some just below the waist and low waist that I actually used to love.

Bootcut is also a great cut to get. It's a teeny flare w/o being too much. I think those are a great "in between"

if you want to go to a slightly more upscale brand that I find at Macy's. Inc. is it. They cost more, but have really cute clothing. Alot of my friends in the mid 30-40s range still wear them too.
This will give you an idea on htem

Woke up a little so there's my clothing advice for the day. If I think of anything else I'll let ya know.

Awww poor Dave missed you! I am sorry that he didn't get to see that play, but honestly I would rather be at WDW myself ;)
I hope you enjoy your new cookware!

Pam, we should meet in the middle with you and Paula and make it a shopping trip! I think that could be so much fun! And I love spending other people's money on things :teeth:

Hey I remember someone who once got into trouble for that!! :lmao:

I just got off the phone with my mom and Jarrod's fever is back up to 104 degrees. Ugh!! He has an appt with the doc at 330 this afternoon!!

I'll have to check out the clothing link and see if I like any of hte clothes!!

off to find lunch!

Howdy!

Out for an interview in a few minutes, but I wanted to say hey.

Plantar Faciitis and and inward rolling foot is what be ailing me. I get some orthotics and cortisone pills. Due to the leg, no injections for me!  I absolutely HATE cortisone injections.

9.35335124340? Does he wear big boy pants, too? :rotfl2:

Paula, I love the NY and Co stuff. I'm pretty conservative in clothes, and I'm 5'3". I can always find stuff there. Thanks to the website, I never shop w/o a coupon. There's enough classic cut pants that I won't have to worry about the snickers from the fashionistas (she's wearing last year's pants, can you believe?) I have sprouted colorful shirts thanks to them, but I don't do prints-and they've got plenty to choose from.

Yikes! Got to get made up purty. Can you see me selling CARS? :teeth:

Suzanne

Mrs. AA's grandmother did get transferred to the nursing home on Friday. She is in a room with two other ladies because there are no beds available, but we like them both.

The CNAs discovered very quickly that since Mrs. AA's mother is a 2nd shift nurse at that facility, she knows their schedules and what they should and shouldn't be doing. ;)

Amanda, several churches here have AWANA programs, though we have never attended one that did.

Our girls' school is looking into Pioneer Clubs and will have info for us at a PTF meeting this week.

BTW, we have decided to go from Myrtle Beach to the Smokies and try to stay in Sevierville/Pigeon Forge area for a few days the week before Easter.

Unlike y'all, we are not campers..at least, not yet. Any shows or attractions that you rank as not to be missed?

Suzanne... :lmao: you are every bit as bad as he is!! :lmao: Somehow I don't see you selling cars...but hey go for it!!!

Alan...glad Mrs. AA will keep the staff in line!! You need that in some of those homes. Glad she is ina good one.

Nothing else going on here, just bored...have too much work I don't want to do!!!

tara

Busy day cleaning here!

LOL, that was so bad of you with teh age thing. Of course the big boy pants :rotfl: Nice :teeth:

Hey so special visitor, what shall we call you here? We could be lame and just call ya Bill ;) Your DS is getting so big now... I can hardly believe this is the same boy! I hope you have a safe drive up to Columbus! I vote for CF myself ::yes::

Tara, I think you need to join us on the shopping trip! Whatcha think? :teeth: I do hope your little one is feeling better soon!

Suzanne, I totally agree wiht you on the pants and staying in style! They are nice and wider legged w/o being overly one way or the other. Fits well with all styles and ages there! And from year to year to year!

Alan, glad that Mrs. AA's grandma got moved. No help with your trip... never been to that part of the country before!

Oh and Suzanne, I think you could sell cars. Smart, friendly and not pushy! Those make the best car salespeople

I need to vacuum downstairs :wave2:

Any shows or attractions that you rank as not to be missed?

Dixie Stampede in either Pigeon Forge or Myrtle Beach is great. Can't go wrong by seeing that show

In Myrtle Beach I suggest "Broadway at the Beach". A great shopping complex. Lots of things to do with kids there. There is so much to do in Myrtle Beach I am sure you won't run out of things.

Lets see what to call me, hmmmmmm. Bill won't work for me, so don't call me Bill. Lets see I always liked the name Tony. THAT'S IT..... Call me Tony. I love that name.

So any takers on what my screen name means... :rotfl2:

Hmmm... Tony... now why on earth didn't I think of that :rotfl:

I thought I had a guess on your username, but I have no real clue now. I can't spell

My sister was in Pioneer Girls from 4-8th grade. She loved it. Went to camp for a week each summer with them.

Tara, I could start posting questions that I could answer simply by googling it, or my next Vaca (one of my pet peeves)! :teeth: I have an idea where our guest has been before :lmao:

Lainey, that's what I'd be banking on. I'm not pushy, but I sure do have a way of rationalizing ANY purchase for shoppers, so why not cars? It's under consideration at this time.

Yay on Mrs.AA's GM getting top notch care! Smoky's sound very nice...haven't had much exposure to them yet.

Nancy, we've got some pro non stick calphalon that Ed insisted on. We both are kitchen nuts, so we had to compromise. I would have gone all All Clad, but the Calphalon holds its heat just as well. If I could get some more LeCreuset, I'd be happy-got a huge honking one and a small one-need more.
You'll like the new pots and pans.

gotta go fill that prescription, but I'm feeling like a nap! Our pharmacy now has later hours, so I may just go after dinner.
