Oh Nancy, I meant to turn them off during the day to see if they would bring you the mouse before you went to bed, so you didn't ahve to wake up with it Yay for being done packing! I'll be doing that on Thursday I think. I'd say post tomorrow, but honestly the boards don't seem like they'd cooperate. Call all your family and friends and say "I'm leaving for Disney World" in your best neener style voice.. that could be fun

Tara, if I weren't munching on food, you'd make me hungry! But thanks, I wanted to see if there was anything new for us to try. We plan to go sometime after I get back from WDW
Good lukc with therapy though for Jarrod. I would imagine that if someone "real" (as in qualified to talk about therapy) said he could use it, why wouldn't they do it at teh school??? Anywho, I hope you get somethign worked out

Hey All,

Went to sleep early last night thats why Im up at this hour. Just relaxing in the quiet of the house and reading the boards. Gonna go make some coffee in a bit.

Tara I know its this way here but if you get a independent decision from a therapist that therapy is needed the school is required to provide it. You might check into that at your school. You might have to fight them a little on it but the report does say its affecting his behavior which in time will effect his grades. He's only in K now and they dont really grade. do they?...well at least they dont down here. They get 1's and 2's and 3's depending on mastery of a skill and also social and study habits. Just makes me mad that your school is giving you such a hard time. BTDT with an IEP for my eldest. It took forever to get one done and only happened after he had the waccko teacher in 4th grade.

Elaine I LOVE that dress. You look incredible in it. I love neckace 2. That dress really shows off how slim you are now. You look awesome.

Eeeek a mouse. I hope the cats didnt bring it to you in the middle of the night. That would be a heck of a wakeup call. Yeesh. When do you leave Nancy?

Well I am now down 32 pounds! I still dont see it as well as Id like to but I still have a ways to go also. 56 pounds to be exact. I will get there eventually. Taking baby steps right now. Kinda doing that with a lot of stuff right now.

Well I guess I better go get dh up for work.

Morning, all. Waited for it to be 8:30 to call the doctor's office and cancel my appointment, but it's still the answering service. Agh. I wanna go back to bed!

Gotta get my hard drive out today-didn't get to it the other day. HP is picking up the laptop today...I can hang in here another week.

Good morning.

No mouse I wish there was, even during the night. I hate the thought of it running around.

I don't think calling everyone would take enought time I don't leave the house until 9 tonight!
I do have the cats to get ready and a couple other settings around here to change, but that's it.
I think I will go shopping for awhile....that's always a good way to pass some time

Did you get through to the doctor, Suzanne? Good luck getting to go back to bed.

I can't believe it is actually almost time to leave Now....I just wish I was there instead of having that icky plane ride to deal with.
DVD player is recharged and ready though....now what movies to take??

Nancy... Johnny Depp... any of his oughth to do you well on that trip Seriously, I do not envy that flight of yours! Mine was bad enough going to LAX a couple summers ago... I couldn't imagine going any longer! I hope your trip will be good though!

Hmmm, must be a morning for doctors. I'm trying to get ahold of mine to make a follow-up appointment and still getting the answering service, too. Sheesh......Not going in to work until noon and I have a bunch of things to get done first! Make that appointment, take car back to state inspection & show 'em the new windshield so I can get my sticker, run to CPA office to pick up some work to be done, drop off some dry cleaning, and yada, yada, yada. Ya'll know the song, I'm sure!

Maid service never showed up, they called yesterday morning to apologize. The excuse was that our appointment somehow got deleted from their computer and since they don't go into the office over the weekend, they didn't get any of our messages until yesterday morning. Yeah, right. Dave checked with the leasing office and they estimated they would charge us $150-200 to clean the place for us and Molly Maid was going to be $240! So, he walked thru with a maintenance guy who acted surprised there were no damages and the carpet was still beautiful after 3 1/2 years! Turned in the keys and we are free!

Tara, sorry to hear of all the trouble the school system is giving you over the speech therapy. Glad you had such a great time at the Melting Pot! So nice to be able to celebrate your birthday with good food and good friends. And another family party, besides?!! Whoo-hooo!!

Nancy, sounds like some lazy mousers, ya got there. Hopefully, the "intruder" will be caught soon and disposed of before you head south. There's not much time left, is there?!!

Elaine, the dress is beautiful! I love the shimmer and that back lacing is soooo neat! You don't think it's a little "daring" for church? Nah, your congregation is younger and more open to such things--I'm so used to the conservative stick-in-the-muds. Necklace #2 gets my vote, too!

Paula, glad to hear you're feeling better and opening doors to new ventures! It's hard when you realize your kids just don't NEED you 24/7 anymore. Your volunteer efforts will be much appreciated and you will be the better person for it, too! You go, girl!!

OK, doctor scheduled, CPA office called, must get over to inspection place. Need a grocery store run in there, too. Ya'll have a lovely day!! We have and 40s today, people are loving it. I'm missing winter, but dare not wish for any fluffy white stuff or Boston might get buried again.

Bethie, sorry about teh cleaning fiasco, but sounds like it turned out for the best in the long run! LOL, me who has to be pushed to wear not so conservative outfits... yeah not daring. Though I am curious what makes it close to that? This is a very formal dance, so lots of strapless and lots of others like that. It's also held at a hotel just down the road, or I admit, I would have real issues with strapless at church. I'm weird like that.

I got a thing in the mail for a free BaB animialf or my birthday. Luis says I can do it, so I think I'll be adding a boy to the mix.

I should go shopping, but I can't find the drive to do it yet. I need to double check my stock for the trip and I also need to find a necklace I like. I think I am going with style like #2,b ut honestly, I just hate the stupid heart

Morning all.....

Day is not off to a good start.....
Woke up to the sound of DH shouting at Chris - seems he was smoking cigarettes in his room last night (yes - we knew he was smoking - strongly disagree) - my husband found out because all of his clothes are in Chris closet so when he went in this morning it must have been pretty bad.....this after he told me last night no smoking in the house.....I feel betrayed....
Let me say that I have never been a smoker - Jeffrey smoked for years - it never bothered me - he finally quit cigarettes 7 years ago and now smoked horrible cigars - outside - not in the house. I know kids will experiment - but I was still dissapointed to know Chris was smoking - telling him not to did no good.....my car stinks.....I must have been naieve to think he was not smoking at home - I feel like a fool.....

Can I just mention how very jealous I am of all upcoming trips - of course I mean that in a loving way - haha. Alyssa's boyfriends family is going this month also - his sisters both have (sp?) coclea implants and there is a convention - they are staying at Coronado Springs.....I offered to be a travelling companion - hahahaha.

I have a story to match Nancy's mouse tale.....spoke with my friend this morning - she has thought that she had a mouse in her bedroom - actuanny saw something "small and black" in her closet - kept setting traps - etc - they also have rabbits - the newest always wants to go in the closet -- she can't figure out why - they went away this weekend - when they returned say the "creature" in the closet again - turns out it was a baby bunny!!!!!!! Mama and baby re-united and baby doing well.....

Well - those are my stories for today.....laundry calling.....

Argghhh. It took until 9:56 to get a real live person to cancel that appointment. Dashed my hopes of getting a nap, because I had to be over to the school by 11am. Sonogram appoint-female issues . They supposedly will call to reschedule later. The answering service had them until 9:20, when I FAXED a note to call me to reschedule. Then, ten minutes later, off of ans. service then 15 more minutes to get through. I probably should have faxed first but I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to get a cancellation fee! (nope, no fee)

Bummer that they didn't get the mouse, Nancy.

Paula, yikes, fortunately baby bunny didn't venture far. Would telling Chris about my mom and SIL have ANY impact on him stopping? Found out my brother ( ) and his best friend started smoking around Chris' age. Friend knew it was a bad habit and wanted to break himself of it. So he bought a pack of cigarettes and chainsmoked them, each all the way to the filter, in the space of an hour. Got so sick, he NEVER touched another cigarette. Yep, he was smart-my brother, not so much.

Bethie, can I have some of your rental pixie dust so that my lawyer gets my money back?

Just looked at my mortgage statement and it says my property tax doubled this year! Yikes! Gonna call the tax collector and verify.

Lainey, I did comment on the imagestation, but I like #2 the best.
