That's not as late as I thought it would be. I'm beginning to think I picked a college that had too long of a schedule for classes :p

Boring afternoon here... going to start supper soon... making it a wee bit early so I have time to clean up after before heading out...

I suppose before that I ought to disturb my precious babies and make the bed... they love getting in the way of that

Hey All,

Add me to the list of not great mouth breather at night. Although you wouldnt have known it Saturday and Sunday. I was a ickky from this cold and did a lot of sleeping. I feel a lot better today. Still sniffly but a lot better.

Pam Im sorry you have been so sick. I will say prayers that you get better very very soon. Is there anyone who can help you with deadline? You shouldnt be making yourself nuts with that while trying to get better.

Elaine Im glad you got the laptop up and running the way you want it. I will say prayers that your icckies go away soon too. Have fun at your knitting get together tonight.

Tara Im sorry about the sickkies at your house too. ROFL I havent heard the term crabass since my mom. I have one of those at home now too. Hes mad because I asked for MY computer back and now he has NOTHING to dooooooooooooo.

Suzanne it sounds like you had a great day yesterday. The new toppers sound so cute.

Paula. Wow Alyssa does have a lot of time off. I bet it has made her being away a bit easier having her home so much though.

Well I think Im gonna get a couple of things done and then watch some TV with the kidlets.

I will checkin laters.

HUGS TO ALL!!! :grouphug:

Howdy, all.

I'm off from work until Saturday, woohoo! Got two sickies in the house, though, so I may not be headed over to Jacksonville tomorrow. Need to take it as it comes in the morning.

Lainey, the changes are that they don't have the lazy susan on the table. No little wonton wraps, pineapple bread or pineapple with caramel at the end. You get a much bigger salad now (which we LOVED) and they added au gratin potatoes to the meal, and they were absolutely delicious. We got lots of those. The dipping sauces are different, the fruit chutney is now a spicy sauce similar to wing sauce. Shrimp comes as an appetizer AND on skewers, and they added sausage to the skewer choices. Enough info for ya? :teeth: (the drink menu is much smaller, but they still had my two favorites, so I was happy)

Paula, it's smart for her to come to a closer to home school if she's homesick. I had friends who went 'away' to school still on LI so that they could come home. (1 1/2 hour drive)

Pam, right with you on the mouth breathing thing...when I get sick like that, I end up sleeping sitting up on the couch or the recliner!

Tara, hope the appointment went well today.

Gotta get the kidlets to bed, but I may be back later.

Grrr... lost post thanks to cats

Suzanne, thanks for that update. Sounds like negative changes for someone like me. Loved the pics though

I'm off... 'nite!

Pam...i couldn't ignore you!!

back from bowling. My team took 2. We are still in first place for this round!! :cool1:

Jarrod's appt. went very well. He was with the counselor for about 20 minutes by himself and the man pointed out that I was right about the eye contact that he really didn't make much eye contact. Finally, people are seeing!! lord it has taken long enough!

I wasn't sure 'crabass' would get through the filter...but its a great word!!

sounds like the sickies are hitting all the youngin's! They darn well better keep it to themselves!!

Off to bed. I'll check in tomorrow!!

Evening, Ya Ya Family! Got busy with moving yesterday and never got a chance to post. Surprised myself, too, by actually getting a good solid night's sleep for the first time in ages! Kitchen and bathrooms at the old place are now empty, except for the shower curtains. Still need to go thru my shoe collection and weed out the ill-fitting and the "I-don't-want-these-anymore" pairs. Then, all that's left is the stuff in storage, the spare bedroom closet and the cleaning.

Bad news, though, is that Dave had to go back up to NJ this evening. His mom developed pneumonia right after Christmas, about a week after she got her pacemaker. While they released her from the hospital back to rehab last week, today she had to go back to the hospital. Apparently, it was the last straw and tonight she was moved to hospice. Dave says he's not sure she even knew who he was when he visited with her for a bit tonight. So very sad.

:grouphug: Not feelin' any too chatty, myself. I just feel so bad for my honey. At least both my parents went unexpectedly, we didn't have to do a death watch like this. :sad1:

Hello Ya Yas. Well, I got a nudge from one of Ya Yas and I thought I should check in from time to time and not just lurk.

It looks like many of you are under the weather so I wish you Get Well Wishes and Beth I hope the move goes smoothly and send Dave my Prayers for his mom.

Otherwise, I will try to check in at least once tomorrow and see how everyone is doing.

Good morning, all.

Hope everyone had a great weekend :)

Bethie, sorry to hear about the turn in Dave's mom's health. I'll send out lots of good thoughts and prayers for her, and you and Dave as well.

Suzanne and Elaine, I loved the changes at Ohana. Yes, the bigger salad is a good thing (I could eat a whole bowl of it myself--great dressing). And the potatoes au grautin were fantastic. Suzanned didn't mention the bananas foster bread pudding with ice cream dessert. It was delicious. I could have eaten the entire bowl myself!

Well, that's going to do it for now. Catch ya later.

JellyrollsKaren

Morning All.

I am so sad to hear about the changes in Ohana. What they changed is what I liked about it. I loved the wontons and the dipping sauce, the shrimp, and the pineapple at the end with the carmel. Used to be our favorite place to eat. Might have to find another one now. :worried:

I discovered last night that I cannot take Nyquil. It has the opposit effect on me that its supposed to which is common when you have ADHD. I wasnt stuffy but I wasnt sleepin either LOL!

Beth I am so sorry to hear about Daves mom. She will be in my prayers as will Dave and you.

Well I guess I better start getting ready for work. The family is still asleep since they have today off.

I will checkin laters.

HUGS TO ALL!! :grouphug:

Morning all! I decided I was tired of waking up with a cough the way I have been and took a strong med that actually keeps me wide awake (makes my heart beat faster). So I'm a bit sleepy today.

Tara, woo hoo on the bowling! Glad to hear that the appt went well too!

Bethie, my heart goes out to Dave... it isn't fun to watch your parent die like that :(

:wave2: Hi Betty, long time no see! I do hope you stop in more often now :)

JRKaren, if I could eat salad regularly and if I actually liked seafood I'd be happy about the changes. Since I rarely can eat salad and can't stand the smell of seafood, I'm kind of out. Oh and picky me doesn't care for potatos like that either. Long story, but even 12 years later I am wary of any potatos that aren't either mashed or french fries. Hmmm... makes me think I'll never eat KFC again either

Karen, maybe you should try Dayquil and see what that does :teeth: ;)

Not much exciting going on here today. Just normal house stuff

Good Morning all.....

Beth - so sorry to hear about Dave's mom - it's so hard to watch and bear our parents aging - makes me appreciate every minute with my dad - we are having lunch together today.

Elaine - sorry that you are still not feeling well.

Suzanne - lived the pics.

Last night was crazy - had a house full of teenagers - well actually only 6 but when you don't have a "family room" and only a small living room it seems like alot more - haha - they played board games and watched movies and.....one of the girls thought that our dog casey should have company too so she brought her 2 dogs (a boston terrier and a Jack Russell/puppy) - poor Casey - still traumatized.......those 3 never stopped all night long.
Alyssa made cooke dough truffles last night - they are just too yummy!!

Weel - off to do laundry - lunch with my dad and Alyssa - bring Alyssa 1/2 way to Ryans.....stop at my office to get a new printer (yay mine finally died) and work tonite.....I'll check in later.

Hugs to all....

Busy day ahead....working the closing shift tonight at the store and have a ton of errands to run! Both of Dave's sons are heading to NJ and one wants to come here and stay a week!! :scared1: I need to make sure I pick up a shower curtain and get the extra room ready sooner than I thought!

Sorry there's so much of the ickie sickies going around. Hope ya'll are feeling better very soon.

Mad, mad love to all and :grouphug:

 to Beth and Dave...will keep you all in our thoughts.

tara

Good Day Ya Yas. Just wanted to stop by and say hello. Thanks for mentioning me Elaine. Yes, it has been a long time but I will try to stop by more often. You know prom is in 3 months and there may be a trip to Columbus in my future.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Prayers going out again to Dave and his family. Hang in there Beth.

Where has my day gone??? I sure don't know...

Paula, cookie dough truffles??? Do share the recipe for that ::yes::
Sounds like a full house there though... I always thought that the parents who would host parties (for football games and the like) were a bit nuts. Hard to imagine about 100 or so kids all in one house

Bethie  good luck with everything in the future... I'll keep y'all in my prayers.

Oh I totally blanked on prom there, Betty! I was actually just thinking about Jessica McClintock today as well. I still like that one dress I saw there and was wondering if I had a good enough excuse to buy it.

I need to get back to some things... catch y'all later!

:flower3: Hi Tara, how are things going?

Yes, Elaine I think buying a dress at Jessica McClintock would be a good idea....just as long as you buy it in Allison's size...

Elaine, I suppose you could go hang out aroudn the local hs and tell them there is a dress you want to buy but you need a good excuse to do so!! :teeth:

Betty, I'm good. Haven't killed anyone recently...but then again there is still time!! :scared1:

tara

Hey, as long as it is a size 2 or so... I'm game! Let me just run that by Luis ;)

Actually Tara, I have a dance with church to go to in a few weeks. So I do have an excuse to wear a dress... I just don't have an excuse to spend $200 on one :p

Hello Y'all-Y'alls. I've been out of computer contact for half a week or so, but am still about so behave.

We have a new family member now. Y'all meet Bubba
